The Hive Engagement League
This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.
Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here, including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks. Only the top 100 scores are shown.
The score is made up from a simple formula which uses the following types of engagement:
- Posts (P)
- Comments (C)
- Number of people spoken to (PS)
- Comments outside of own posts (CO)
- Unique Author posts (UA)
- Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (CR)
- Comments - length in characters (CL)
- Up-votes to others (V)
- Up-votes to different authors (UV)
- Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus HIVE(SV)
Note: Copy/Paste comments will be excluded!

Looks like a good shake up with the new additions. Also looks like it was a pretty good week for the overall weekly numbers, all of them up,(well except for top level post), that was good to see. I guess everyone was to busy chatting/commenting to get around to posting.
They are creeping up each week, really nice to see.
986 posts, just shy of 10 each is double my average output. Should I be posting more? I'm not sure I have the content/energy/time to reply :)
It does take time making all those replies, and comments, more post means chance of more comments and replies. I think 7 is about my max for a week, but I had to really try to get those extra ones out. I was lucky in that we had a few nice days for pictures.
Yeah, I have struggled of late to think about another post when I have 30/40/50 comments waiting!
It's probably why some recent efforts have been rather short and sweet - my daughter adding the sweet :)

Top ten, Nice! It's amazing how you get incrementally more effective when you put your mind to something isn't it?
The beauty of this as you said, meeting people who are out there whom you simply didn't know existed. So many of us exist in circles that somehow, inexplicably never seem to cross paths with eachother. There are geuine real friends to be made out there we just need to stretch that little further, reach that little higher to find them. π
It seems like you are all over that right now. Keep it up my friend and have a fabulous week π
It is remarkable how much one can do when they aren't constantly playing Splinterlands LOL I was quite addicted for a while. I still play daily but I limit it to only getting my daily stuff done before I move onto getting back to the engagement and finding peoples content!
I think I met some of my closest friends on here just going through things and looking for people to interact with. The skateboarding community has been really key for a lot of people and I wouldn't have found it (even though I'm a former skater myself) without getting out there and looking for content to check out. I bet if we all did this from time to time instead of just our personal feeds, we could do so much more!
It's really great finding people from certain countries that seem to be popular with Hive. This past week has been Bulgaria and a consistent pattern these past few weeks is Nigeria. I think that's really awesome!
I also interact with many people through Discord communities and find this to be a recurring theme. I think sometimes when so called real life is not treating us well or we find ourselves in a strange place, it's nice to jump online to people who have no knowledge of where we are in our head-space and just chat away.
Sometimes we end up chatting away abut life, work family and stuff and actually see a tangible cathartic benefit from it. Either way I have a number of real friends I have met due to the blockchain many of whom have indeed transitioned to real life friends too.
You are spot on about getting out there and finding groups who align with your interests and your values... They are not gonna just happen along and find you, strange how we humans complicate stuff, right?
Yes!!! That's a biggie for me, I love interacting with a truly global community and have gotten insights in to life in every corner of the planet through the things people share here.

Hi @abh12345. Wow, what can I say. I promised myself I'd do better this week and attempt to finish in the Top 20. And I did. Then went even higher as I finished 16th place. What an achievement for me in an otherwise stressful week offline.
I appreciate the 1 Hive for my placement in the EL. Hard work engaging does reap rewards. I made several new acquaintances this week going outside my normal Community. I learned several new facts, while engaging with others about their opinions on certain matters. Hive is diverse. You just have to go looking for its diversity.

I think they are useful metrics, not sure if i have got the scoring/weight right yet but no-one is complaining so that's a start!

Good morning to everybody. I never thought I would be in third place, maybe the new measurements helped. And that our friend @galenkp took a break
I usually compare my numbers against the previous week and this time I went back from position I went from 22 to 23 I don't know what makes that number move,
Lower my comment numbers from 338 to 334, I also made it in comment length go from 92744 to 88577
Another point to drop is in the vote, go from 342 to 294. The new measurements definitely helped.
I will have to make a greater effort this week, getting there was easy, the hard part is keeping it up.

I just saw that all the figures are + this week , that didnt happen a lot last weeks 383 accounts earned a score this week (379 last time)
The top 100 produced 986 top level posts (997 last time)
The top 100 produced 12309 comments (11572 last time)
The top 100 produced over 2.46 million characters of text in comments (2.34 last time)
The top 100 cast 29602 votes (28723 last time), of these, 275 were self-votes (274 last time)
I think the number of participants has increased slightly for the past 3/4 weeks now, a good sign!

I finally became a minnow recently and was wondering if you know of any post explaining how to get more curation rewards.
You have around 500 HP?
You have to vote early with this amount, it will take time for CR to become noticeable.
Basically, for the best return you need to be ahead of voters who are voting with more HP/Vests than you. With 500 HP, this is going to be tough and you'll need to vote early, which means automating your votes....
Hmm I seem to be completely missing from the list this time round.
