Your Hive Vote Weight Distribution and Thoughts on Network Growth/Health

in OCD4 years ago (edited)

Some thoughts and numbers on the voting of the different user classes - my chart, your chart, and the charts of various curation initiatives.

Below are my outgoing votes on Hive (21st March - 1st June 2020 inclusive) by weight, grouped into account class/size.

For ease, although not 100% accurate:
Redfish or Smaller < 500 HP
Minnow 500-4999 HP
Dolphin 5000-49999 HP
Orca 50000-499999 HP
Whale 500,000+ HP

image.png

image.png

Referencing the number of 'active' accounts in each category using @arcange's recent postand chart:

image.png

There are approximately 10x the number of active Orcas than Whales, 5x the number of active Dolphins than Orcas, 3x the number of active Minnows than Dolphins, and 5x the number of active Red Fish (and lower) than Minnows.

So why have I given more vote weight to Dolphins than Minnows? And, this doesn't sound right, more weight to Whales than Red Fish and lower? 😨

I could mention here that my chart didn't look like that in the past, and that the accounts I have voted for over the past few years have grown with me to Dolphin and Orca - Most accounts have a circle of friends, and as long as that circle is wide (no official statement on how wide), this is generally considered OK.

Is it OK though, for the good of the platform? Looking back at the active accounts and their % as part of the whole, Red Fish total 80% of the 'active' user-base, and so shouldn't 80% of my vote weight be going to this content? Perhaps not to that percentage, but you would expect more distribution to smaller accounts seeing as there are far more of them?

Vote distribution weight by class - Curation projects

One set of data isn't much use on its own, and so (as well as asking if you want a chart), I decided to look at a few of the curation projects I am aware of.

@curangel accept delegations and pay HIVE each day depending delegation size and how much they earn curating.

image.png

image.png

@curie are looking for delegations via https://hive.dlease.io/ and there is a fixed return percentage attached to each offer.

image.png

image.png

@qurator accept delegations and pay HIVE each day depending delegation size and how much they earn curating.

image.png

image.png

@c-squared, I think, have nothing in place to pay kind delegators (happy to be corrected here).

image.png

image.png

@ocdb accept delegations and pay HIVE each day depending delegation size and how much they earn curating.

image.png

image.png

This is more like the outgoing vote weights to various classes though isn't it?

All projects favor Minnows-Red Fish-Dolphins-Orcas-Whales, in that order. Based on number of active accounts, it is a little strange that Minnows are voted with more weight than Red Fish, but the fact that this is the case from all 3 projects makes me think that the level of content could be the reason.

I know I could do better with my own voting, remove some autos and spend more time manually curating, but there is another solution (hopefully clear by now) to help sleep easier at night.

image.png
saucy

Whoops. No that isn't going to help, but one solution to help distribute your votes to new and upcoming author is to trail vote, delegate HP, and/or lease to a curation project.

For short-term ROI gainz, doing the above will likely not match the return you can get from keeping your HP and voting yourself, especially if the majority of your vote (weight) is automated.

Long term, if there isn't support for new accounts who are showing willing, and all we have is 500 Orcas voting each other, distribution will look a bit crap and likely so will the price of HIVE.

I've written before about holding your HP to help you get noticed (votes in the top 20 voters list or on comments), and don't think that delegating as a small account is the best plan, unless you are going AWOL for a period. As a larger account though, I do feel an obligation to help support curation projects, especially as my own votes are seemingly not going to smaller accounts as much as I would like.

And so this morning, I upped my delegation to @curangel to 7,500 HP, 10% of my total stake, and will try to maintain a 10% delegation going forward. Some may argue that 10% is fuck all, but if every Orca did this, those projects would have millions more Hive Power to play with.

Who wants a pie chart - hopefully yours looks more like one of the curation projects and not like mine! 🙈

Cheers

Asher

The last time you made a pie for me for this, my votes were very much weighted towards on minnow and smaller. I have the feeling this won't be the case as much now, because those redfish and minnows have either gone or they've grown with me. Dare I look at the new pie?

I don't think the smaller accounts are missing out, however, unless they aren't posting much worth sending to the curators. The newer accounts are better supported than they've ever been, because we now have such a range of curators. Many of the dolphins are the ones sending the posts to those curators as well, so they aren't being ignored by us. Because of this, any redfish that puts that effort in doesn't stay a redfish for long and I feel like this is why votes are falling more onto minnows than them.

I actually stopped worrying so much about the size of the account my vote is falling on, because the drop of in support that comes when a redfish turns minnow can be off-putting in itself. There's no point in getting them there and then them feeling like they are no longer going to carry on moving forward, so they power down and leave, which defeats the object. So now I try to focus on supporting good content, no matter the author, and I like those who interact and I know I can have a good conversion with. I also focus on those writing in the areas of the communities I support. So hopefully it's still a good range. 🤞

Edited to add: I notice that the rep number doesn't always give the best indicator of fish level. Some experienced and long time creators have very high rep scores, but have powered down over time as well. So it's hard to judge the account size on the reputation score, too. I wonder how aware we are of the size of the account when we vote on the post.

you should take another pie :)

The newer accounts are better supported than they've ever been...

... any redfish that puts that effort in doesn't stay a redfish for long and I feel like this is why votes are falling more onto minnows than them

Totally agree with both statements :)

... There's no point in getting them there and then them feeling like they are no longer going to carry on moving forward

Yep. It used to feel this way as a young dolphin account, but I think the support for these accounts is good now - just got to get that first 5000 HP.

High Rep, low HP is an interesting combination - not my favourite account type to support.

Thank you Asher. That's actualy looking better than I expected. A bit low on the redfish votes and the dolphins are up there as expected, but mostly minnows, which I didn't expect. To me that says that voting on the content rather than the account does give a good spread. Not that I don't have my autovotes set for certain accounts, but I like to have plenty of VP for manual votes too.

Interesting stuff. I'd like to see my chart. My voting is mostly manual and so goes to those I follow who are a mix of levels. Posts (like yours) with a lot of rewards already tend to get a smaller vote from me as I want to save my VP for others. I do follow the votes of @tenkminnows which mostly votes for redfish.

Cheers. I think you are doing it right Steve...

image.png

image.png

Cool, thanks. Maybe I need to look after the redfish a little more.

Seems they are being overlooked a little by the curation projects too - perhaps there aren't that many producing decent stuff?

It's the usual problem of not getting enough votes to be worth putting in the effort. Some of us are lucky that we can get a few dollars whatever we do. I really don't mind if I make less. I've been really lucky so far.

It's the usual problem of not getting enough votes to be worth putting in the effort.

I think if good efforts keep appearing, a curation project will notice. It's tough to start and should require effort.

First to admit I have been luckier than most.

There are some new accounts I am nurturing. Some get some curation project attention and I am sure that means a lot to them.

Cool can i have one.

G'day :) Sure!

image.png

image.png

Legend! Fine support for the newer accounts here :)

Thank you @abh12345 for the statistics and @michealb for the support here on hive.
@abh12345 my reputation is not too bad but my HP low due to leaving steemit 2 years ago and powered down at the time.
Now here on Hive hope to get some HP real soon. Just keep on working everyday.

My pleasure - you don't have so many votes yet and so the pie chart doesn't mean too much. I hope you can build back up to Minnow again soon :)

Thank you!

Hey, @abh12345.

Okay. So these charts are for how we upvoted others. What about the same idea, but how others upvoted us? With a compare contrast of what happened in April, 2020 and May, 2020?

I probably should ask for one of these pie charts, too, since that's the actual topic of the post. :)

Does this work yet?

!ENGAGE 50

One for another day I think :) I know you are keen to know if there was less voting in May, and think it could be a 'yes' due to a couple of large accounts (darthknight being one) not voting so much, and changes to hive.vote (cutting same account votes to 2 per week by default).

image.png

image.png

Looks good to me.

RE: MrEngage, not quite it seems. I will check with the dev :)

Hey, @abh12345.

Okay. So, I wasn't expecting my Orca voting to be so high, and frankly, I didn't expect my Minnow votes to be so high, either.

Apparently, I don't know the stake holdings of the people I upvote, which I think is good, right? Or, should I pay more attention, considering I'm upvoting Orcas and Dolphins at relatively higher rates, with respect to the Redfish, for instance.

I mean, here's how I do it:

I upvote what I see, that I like—for whatever reasons.

I haven't been particularly concerned with spreading my upvote around, but rather doing something somewhat meaningful on each post/comment based on my own subjectivity of what that means and what kind of content might warrant it.

re: another day

No worries. I thought maybe this was that, and then I realized it wasn't and I should have just led with the pie chart request. :)

I don't know the stake holdings of the people I upvote, which I think is good, right?

Yes I think so.

I upvote what I see, that I like—for whatever reasons.

This sounds like the way to do it - the very honorable manual route. As you were :)

Hi! I'm part of a small Community of curators called discovery-it !
May I ask you how are we going? :)
Thank you for your precious work!

Thank you for the kind comment, let's see.......

image.png

image.png

Very supportive of the smaller accounts :)

Thank you very much :)

I follow @curangel with @babytarazkp, which only has 700HP, but has a lot of tokens backing it.

However, per our discussion, these are the votes that I have made on the comments I get:

image.png

As you can see, the vote weight is pretty much distributed evenly no matter the class (as I don't check or care), but there is something more interesting in that. I vote a lot of comments and pretty much most of the ones I get (within reason) however, where are the redfish and minnows?

There are approximately 10x the number of active Orcas than Whales, 5x the number of active Dolphins than Orcas, 3x the number of active Minnows than Dolphins, and 5x the number of active Red Fish (and lower) than Minnows.

There are 3x more minnows than dolphins, but they don't appear to be commenting much on my posts at least - and I vote on comments.... At least for me, the most active groups for comments considering the distribution, are the dolphins and orcas. Dolphins seem to be the most active engagers, and minnows are very unimpressive considering their numbers.

Is it possible that the engagement is a part of the reason that the dolphins are dolphins at all? They have taken an interest, made a home, create content and build a network.

Yes, just looking at your vote weight on comments raises some interesting points, especially as you vote the majority of your visitors - which seem to be Dolphins.

Is it possible that the engagement is a part of the reason that the dolphins are dolphins at all? They have taken an interest, made a home, create content and build a network.

Probably :)

Tomorrow I'll have a look at engagement by class and try to find out a bit more.

Yup, curation initiatives are great, I might have a look at those leases!

I would assume they beat delegating for a share of the CR minus curator fees, but there can't be that much in it.

The projects seem fairly similar and above board, perhaps splitting between 2/3/4 is the best plan.

Would be quite interesting to see a payout comparison between the projects that offer Hive/HBD for delegations. Some of them take a lot of pride in curation and thus working hard for minnows, projects and investors. Could be a cool thing to see for investors too.

I agree, that would be interesting to present - perhaps as an outward facing post for investors.

I think @pharesim / @curangel did just that a month or two back for their project.

It's something anyone could do I guess. Lease to curie, and delegate the same amounts to curangel, ocdb, (edit: and qurator!), and see how the ROI compares.

It could be that delegators want to focus on particular content (I don't think the above projects do other than 'not Hive'), and so they could 'lose' a little ROI but see more of the content they like.

The content does indeed play a role and these projects do need to be open with what kind of content they upvote. Could be interesting to see purely from an investors standpoint. Always fun to see the stats.

Go on then.. do me.. I'm sure it's not going to be pretty.

image.png

image.png

No love for the Red Fish - are they no good at present?

Most of the smaller accounts I support come via the Urbex community. Maybe that is the way things are going?

Hello, good morning. Thanks for the awesome stats you are generating for Hive. Yesterday's stat I received was very helpful and would guide my engagement this month.

I'll be glad to receive today's voting stats. Thanks once again.

So far, everyone is distributing to smaller accounts better than me :(

I wasn't sure it would turn out that way!

Interesting... I do and I don't want to see my pie chart to see where my votes are going but probably should. As I mentioned in your previous post, I've kinda delegated all my HP out to curie and also follow their trail along with travelfeed and pinmapple (maybe good to see those two charts as well) so maybe I'll have a similar distribution... we'll see!

Yours

@travelfeed

@pinmapple
image.png

Looks good to me - I'm starting to get a complex :(

Just set yourself up to follow those curation trails and it will turn around I'm sure.

And thanks for doing the charts :)

I'm easing the guilt with a delegation and a c-cubed trail, should probably sort out some more minnow votes though.

One for @theinkwell community account please :)

This looks great!

image.png

image.png

And so this morning, I upped my delegation to @curangel to 7,500 HP, 10% of my total stake, and will try to maintain a 10% delegation going forward. Some may argue that 10% is fuck all, but if every Orca did this, those projects would have millions more Hive Power to play with.

gold words!

Thanks, do I get a gold star? :D

If the rest wake up and realize that you need to give more to receive more. Then we all get the stars;)

Indeed. There are some good eggs knocking around though, check michealb's chart :)

Great post and offer mate! I would like to see a chart for @diyhub :)

@diyhub chart coming up, cheers :)

image.png

Solid Minnow support here!

Looks rly good :D and that all with the support of some amazing delegators! Thx

This is interesting stuff for someone with less than 400 HP. Hope I can get some of those votes and hopefully give more votes too in the future.

You are well on the way to Minnow status, hopefully this will help you in the future.

image.png

image.png

Good support for your peers :)

I hope so. I really like engagement so I don't mind what class I will be writing a comment on, but I do believe that it will help later on WHEN I can be categorized in a 'higher' class. :)

Can I get/see my voting stats for the last 30days, please? @abh12345.. :D

Yes, it's from the 21st March - First full day of Hive.

image.png

image.png

Lots of love for the Minnows here :)

Wow, nice! I made the right decision to switch to curation trails. Thanks for this! :)

First, I really like it! :)

Second, it’s a good question to ask... is our voting behavior good for the platform? What is good for the platform..... in general... not just voting.

I've always assumed that distribution of stake is best for the platform, but I could be wrong?

There are many many accounts that have earned minnow status but sold, so should we be supporting those who look like they are sticking around?

Games are good, I want more :)

And this looks great, thank you :)

image.png

image.png

So, that is me? I was afraid to ask actually. And you know why... lot of my recent voting is Down vote Counters. So that tend to concentrate on repeat accounts. Thankfully I follow Curangel trail, that seems to normalize things over time.

Yes I was interested to see and hoped that the curangel trail would balance your repair work. Without the downvote countering it would look even better i think :)

If you choose to, or inclined, may be you can do pie’s for the EL winners of delegations last month. It would be nice see them side by side maybe even compare how they did before and after delegations.

I have to try to blend my votes between higher accounts that will get lots of rewards on posts and with newer accounts that are looking for exposure and support. Thankfully I can give dust votes at less than 50% voting power which is a nice change for my account but always looking forward to getting that even higher.

Interesting the voting patterns of the initiatives that tend to go to minnows over red fish. I’ve myself found a lot of minnows with actual content where red fish lack it many times. Wonder if I could somehow sign up for a smaller curation initiative, though I don’t know if I would have to log everything, that’s time consuming.

I can definitely see the blend in action here :)

image.png

image.png

I’ve myself found a lot of minnows with actual content where red fish lack it many times

I did wonder if this might be the case - those with the decent content should make it to minnow soon enough.

That's pretty awesome, is that my individual stats? While doing it, it doesn't seem like much but seeing the pie chart and the raw numbers, I can definitely see what I'm doing is paying off for a lot of people! Thanks for the numbers, keeps me motivated to keep on doing the outreach I have been doing! I think it's really cool to see all the votes I've given the minnow's versus the dolphins and orcas. Those 28 whale votes were mostly for Dan or Blocktrades I think lol trying to earn some curation on their stuff hehe.

With the red fish, I scan the new posts section often throughout the day and I've been having difficulty finding them but then getting one that's actually a legit new user is a challenge. I see a lot of bots or reward milkers just dropping stuff on here hoping to get a vote. I've been trying to, when I can, leave them a comment to let them know that's not cool behavior. I've gotten a couple responses and appreciations that I actually let them know so that's been nice. I haven't followed up on them to see if they adjusted their behavior, maybe someday lol

Sounds like you are doing the right things, and I think there is no harm in supporting the larger accounts - especially the Dan's whose investment and work is good for Hive.

I've gotten a couple responses and appreciations that I actually let them know so that's been nice. I haven't followed up on them to see if they adjusted their behavior...

Would be interesting to see if any have!

Get me a chart.

lol, please?

image.png

Good , bad or ugly ? I just vote what I like 😀

A good approach to take :)

I'd better have a wake up call amd see how my votes are spread. Thanks Ash.

And thanks to Nicky for requesting the one for @Pinmapple. Us niche curation guilds are always on the look out for support, either via delegations or following our curation (shilling again 😉)

Well I don't think this is so bad.

image.png

image.png

When all my STEEM is moved over and I've got some contest delegations back, I will have a look at the smaller curation guilds :)

thanks and thanks,

Better spreak my upvotes around more 😟

Really good small fishy support here!

Thank you very much Sir!
And damn, yes! Thats true :D I didn't even know :p

No worries, cheers for the tip!

You are welcome :D

Those are really cool stats! Would be nice to have those included in Beeme for example, or any other site.
Can you make one for me too please?
Thanks a lot :)

Trying to put me out of a job? :D

I agree, although if they are on a website, where do we talk about them?

image.png

image.png

Nice work :)

Haha not at all! Just trowing some ideas :)
Ermm.. you have a point here :P

Thanks again :)

It could be argued that dolphins and orcas are generally the folks that have been posting with us for longer and consistently produce quality content and as such have built up HP organically. You don't see a lot of spam on their feeds and often they are very community minded and run contests and such. They are usually pretty deserving of the upvotes. The majority of my consistent support comes from these folks. I also get curated on a semi-regular basis. The whales are more likely to be investors and developers and receive the bulk of their payout through witness activities. I don't actually ever recall getting a significant whale upvote. I don't give out a lot in this direction either. The curators weed through the minnows and redfish and pick out the best to support. They do a pretty good job. It makes sense to support them either with delegation or upvote ... for the growth of the block chain. Great post, abh:)

Thank you very much :)

I agree that a number of Orca's/Dolphins have reached that level because of consistently producing decent stuff, and/or community work.

The issue for me is that now my minnow/dolphin friends are bigger, and so my votes which were once mainly heading to smaller accounts are now heading towards larger accounts.

Well, I think good work needs to be rewarded, regardless of the size of the account. I also feel the consistency deserves reward too. Fortunately, as an account gets better, it is in a better position to reward more people. I wouldn't stop rewarding those who are basically the foundation of the site but maybe just make sure that some of your upvotes go to the up and comers.

I'm happy that I have delegated some HP to @curangel. Though it's not huge, but at least I am getting there. 😊

Thank you for the pie charts. And explanation. Your analysis make sense. ❤

I think that's a good choice - they and the other projects tend to favour smaller accounts.

image.png

image.png

Good!

Oh yes! Myself included!!! I am very much thankful that there are curation projects like them, if not, where will the minnows be? 😢

@c-squared

A curation project I’m only vaguely aware of. I gotta start paying attention.

Who wants a pie chart

Me!

They have been around a year or two now, and are a Witness.

image.png

image.png

Fair support for the larger fish, but as you have 30k yourself, it's likely you have gone the same way as me and supported accounts that have grown with you?

I really need to be upvoting minnows/redfish more.

Or delegate to a project doing just that? :)

I had already delegated to both @curangel and @ocdb, just added a small delegation to @c-squared.

I think you can rest well :)

I am curious to what @qurator's chart will look like. Could we have one too please? Thank you

We also pay out a big chunk of our curation to any of those who delegate to the project.

@qurator

image.png

image.png

Looks good and compares well against the other projects, I'll add these to the post as well.

Thank you! Some really cool numbers indeed, keep up these informative posts!

Generally trying to do so, cheers!

you should teach us how to make pie charts, this looks like a lot of work for you :D

Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.

T.P.

hit me with a pie chart if you can.

Sure, I'll even give you the script. I use @steemsql, for a fee, if you fancy learning a bit of SQL :)

Looks good to me!

i would probably go bankrupt using it regularly :D , but i should spend some to see how it works.

thanks.

is http://steemsql.com/ now working for hive? because if you get to https://hivesql.io/ there is kinda nothing there.

Probably is that website then :)

The database is pretty much identical, as you might expect.

I use LINQpad to connect to the database and write the queries and excel to make the charts.

halp me befome a better person...

This is an important discussion.

I wonder if we can say the redfish and lower also don't tend to know as much about what they are doing in terms of using Hive and blogging good content.

Another thing to consider would be overall author rewards inflation distribution.

I cannot hope to be as food as a cuarion project, but asides from delegating or following trails, maybe I can work to be better than average.

I wonder if we can say the redfish and lower also don't tend to know as much about what they are doing in terms of using Hive and blogging good content.

I think this is partly the case, my early posts were mostly garbage and low effort. The ones who do put the effort in (for cents to start) and keep going until noticed should easily make Minnow and further if they keep at it.

I currently delegate 25% of my HP into a pool and then split that by various percentages depending on how much support I want to give a project.

also could I a chart? :D

Sounds like a nice approach to take.

image.png

Almost 4 perfect quarters, good sharing :D

Oh! I was expecting far worse. :D

Please give Papillon a go Ash?

Sure :)

image.png

image.png

Dolphins, friends of the charity :)

Yep~! It seems that Dolphins swim together in pods my friend.
I don't understand where the Ocras fit in, unless it someone that we have delegated to?
Maybe a delegation to curangle will fix it.
Thank you Ash!

You need to own more token

great post! Could I see my voting behavior as well?

Thanks! Let's see..

image.png

A nice slice of Minnow support there.

thanks! I guess it's lookin' good :)

Hello dear friend @ abh12345 good afternoon
Everything you can do with access to information is good.
I would love to see how I am distributing my votes.
Thank you very much for letting us know this information
I wish you an excellent day

Thank you :)

image.png

image.png

Thank you very much for the information dear friend @ abh12345 I think these numbers look good, I had something similar in mind.
I wish you a beautiful night

Very interesting post, @abh12345. A good update for all users.

Thank you :) Let me know if you want a chart.

Please let me see mine. Be trying to be supportive to those getting lesser attention than me. I would like to see how I am fairing on :)

You are doing very well :)

image.png

image.png

So it seems :D Thank you so :)

I would like one. I have my expectation as I have added to those that i follow and those people get added because I like the content. Recently I have started trying to go through the communities I joined and follow to find new content and new people to follow.

I think that if people find people who's content they like and enjoy, then does it really matter what the account level is? I do try to encourage accounts by not only voting, but also with comments.

It will be interesting to see the chart.

I think that if people find people who's content they like and enjoy, then does it really matter what the account level is?

Yes I would go along with that :)

image.png

image.png

Plenty of Minnow support here.

I think a lot of the dolphin level support being shown on peoples charts is also because like me they were or are very close to being Dolphins now with the power downs, a lot of us by the end of the month will be a step higher on the rung, or real close to the next rung.

Yes that's a good point, a minnow could become a dolphin if they moved everything over at the right time.

I will be leaving the minnow pond soon, I am sure a few others by the end of the month will be in the Dolphin pool too.

This serves as a motivation for me to grow... i shall leave the level of a red fish soon. I would ask for a pie chart next month. I should have moved from my current status of being a red fish. You are doing a great job in supporting @curangel. I have personally benefitted from their upvote.

Next month is fine , just let me know.

Congrats on the curangel support :)

Thank you

How does one earn some of your voting support love? I'd really like to know!

Lots of luck and OK content? :)

I'm curious to my pie-chart. Could I have one, please? Though I fear I'll fail terribly in the support-minnows-department.
Your post made me realize why the curation-accounts seem to ignore my posts lately: I've recently become an Orca...

I suspect the curation projects are less likely to support an account with your HP.

image.png

image.png

Plenty of Minnows getting voted for :D

That's really cool: can i have one, @abh12345? Thanks!

Great analysis. Love the retrospectives. I've been fretting over my voting. I thought I had it worked out pretty well on the other blockchain. I've been trying to figure out ways to manage it so that I don't miss out fo friends posts, yet support other goods posts from minnows, and other levels. We've been on the chain for some time now and most connections have fluttered up to that Dolphin level... need some time to sit and figure out a good method. Curation trails might be good. Use some HP to support minnows and leave time to ping the friends and spread the Hive around.

Yeah, this is where I am at now. Pulling the data of others makes me think i need to distribute more to smaller accounts. With the delegation to curangel I could say that 10% of my vote is going to where they choose, and it is smaller accounts in general, so that's reasonable.

I'd like to have a bit more spare each day to freestyle.

I would very much like one of these charts, thanks.

Hey mate, I wouldn't mind having a look if you have the time.

No worries :)

A bit like mine :)

Hmm, yes agreed. I think it's as good as it's going to get though. I could up the vote-weight on the minnow's I guess...But I have a standard of what I vote so...Blurry photos of a rock at the bus stop entitled boulder Friday isn't ever going to get much at all from me. Minnow/redfish are getting 29% of my vote so thanks Asher, I'm content.

I want mine please and i think its purple as a terminaler at hart mine must show that but we will see......

I wonder how the distribution of outgoing sbi project votes are... I think the majority of people that use the service are minnows-dolphins, can you try to get some stats of their accounts?

What accounts do they use to vote?

@steembasicincome, and @sbi1 all the way to @sbi10

A bit of a mission to do the lot, this is steembasicincome:

This one is enough, is probably a good measure of them all... so it's dolphins and minnows that mostly use them... nice

I think to start it was mostly Red Fish and Minnows, but as the project is years old now then most of the accounts still here and a part of the project will have grown?

Thank you for making these easy to understand charts :D
My only suggestion is to keep the colors consistent for easier quick comparison xD
I understand it's hard to upvote Redfish and Minnows since many of us aren't as invested and can leave and come back when it suits us.

Can I please have a pie chart as well? :)

The colours change as they wish and I'm too lazy to make them the same for all :D

I'm looking at some other data and it seems many of the small accounts aren't very engaged - if you can keep commenting away you should be fine :)

Thank you!
Interesting, but not really surprised :D Most people I started with are also minnows and some became dolphins since. The orcas are likely curators and a few users that have been very responsive like yourself and tarazkp :)
Most orcas and whales don't reply to my comments, and even some minnows 😅 I'm not spamming, I promise.

I'm slowly getting back into chatting, but like I'm spending 10min on this comment coz I'm just slowww. I'm way more visual and finding the right words to express mysel has been surprisingly hard lately. That's probably the biggest reason I missed blogging, it helped my collect my thoughts. I should just make a freewrite post at this point 😊
Cheers!
