I'm personally not interested in Twitter.

Not sure why I never used to but I think I’ll start doing that from now, sharing your posts directly from here...

Content consumers sharing links to the outside, that concept, has been missing here on this platform the whole time. Normal content, typically of the entertaining variety, when it gets passed around, that's free marketing for the entirety of Hive, and the content doesn't even have to mention Hive or have anything to do with the platform. I've said this for years. Very few pay attention or see any significance in what I'm pointing out. Content creators sharing their links to the other content creators from here that they have on their Twitter does literally, nothing.

One of the main premises of poshtoken was to reward anyone sharing links on twitter of anyone, not just their own posts. As long as you have a Twitter audience and use tags well and get engagement there you earn poshtoken, it's not something the author would be against either way, I'm sure 99.9% of authors would welcome more readers.

Absolutely. It's always been a treat for content creators (and even the biggest news corporations can't really function without it) when consumers share the work on social media.

I had a large following on Stumbleupon, years ago when I started here. So I created another account there to coincide with this identity here. I'd then upload my links, give it the 'thumbs up' with my other account, then that would place my posts in front of people surfing the web by hitting a button and being led to a random site. If they saw it and gave it the thumbs up then that would place the content in front of their followings. So there were a few times on the old platform where I'd be sitting there with eleven cents but have 1000 views and rising. Once they removed the view counter, I still had a way knowing how many folks were browsing my posts from here, on Stumbleupon, but then eventually that service shut down. So I lost the large following of tens of thousands and my ability to scatter my stuff all over the world with ease. I wouldn't be able to pull that off with Twitter. Not with a handful of followers that already know me from here. Works really good though when consumers do it on their own.

You are not the only one in this line

Oh 🙋‍♀️ hi

Well, I get that..

The fact that you don't have a Twitter account is not a reason not to share your Hive stories ...

Nowhere, in anything I've said, does it say I'm against sharing content.

Well, maybe I didn't read it all, I was just referring to the fact that you don't have a Twitter account ... my opinion is that something I think is good to share somewhere else, but it doesn't necessarily get any interest there ... but I definitely think the point of the internet is to share ... at least it used to be ... but now, with these restrictions, I don't know anymore ...

That's right. I don't have a Twitter account. But that does not prevent my work from being shared. Anyone is free to share my work. I'm honestly disappointed PeakD hides those 'share to social media' options, while on other content platforms those buttons are huge, and they're made obvious for a reason. Content platforms have known for years, content, regardless of subject matter, drives eyes to their platforms, when consumers share, and anywhere else on the internet, consumers share. On this platform, we don't have those consumers, and that's partially due to the fact the content isn't shared, and partially due to the fact most onboarding attempts are designed to attract creators, not consumers.
