steevc just finished a 7.01km run, that lasted for 41 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 543.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I did not do my usual Sunday long run as the weather was horrible. Instead I did an indoor workout. I used to do the 7 minute workout fairly regularly and may get back into it as it works all parts of the body and I need to strengthen some of them.

Today the weather was better, but I did feel some very light rain at the start. I thought I would try the workout that my parkrun friend Jeff is using where you alternate slow and fast kilometres.

As I did a gentle warm-up job along the High Street I noticed lots of things drawn on the pavement in chalk. There were a lot of hearts and some names. They left a handy message at the bus stop. These went on for quite a distance, so it was not just some kids outside their house.

My first sprint was up the hill to Fairfield, so I could not expect it to be too quick. The second was mostly on the flat and the third was coming down the hill. As a result each was quicker than the last. I am not as quick as Jeff, but I hope to improve if I keep doing these. I need to push myself to go faster when training to get my body used to it.

On Saturday I may do the Great Denham parkrun which I have not run in a while. I am heading to Bedford then for a Hive meetup. I am hoping to see a few people there. It would be great to get some more people signed up.

It is the first of the month and so I just powered up more $HIVE. I hit 115k HP yesterday, but I had bought some more to stake. The price has dropped a bit, but I feel it is under-valued. I am earning it every day anyway.

Run free!

Intervals are a great way to push yourself. I used to run with the Edmondo app before I got a smartwatch and it had a great voice coach to keep you pushing and beating your time per Kms.

Good luck with the intervals. It will definitely help with the speed.

I used Endomondo too. It used to get some weird results if it lost the GPS signal, but was generally good. I was able to download all my data when they shut down.

Everyone says intervals are good. Just running at an even pace is less of a workout.

!BEER

Hey @mimismartypants, here is a little bit of BEER from @steevc for you. Enjoy it!

Do you want to win SOME BEER together with your friends and draw the BEERKING.

Nice job on your run. It's always a bit interesting when you see sidewalk "art". I did the same workout I tried the other morning. 4 minutes walking 1 minute run, then 3 minutes walking and 1 minute run intervals.

This art will get washed away soon, but it made me smile. Keep doing that workout and it will get easier. I shall do the same with mine.

Thanks, I hope so! Today I was dealing with some back issues, so that made it a little more uncomfortable. The later running intervals didn't seem as difficult as last time.

I’m also planning to start indoor workout but do they really work? I wish to build more hips. Does workout work that?

You need to find a workout that is designed for that. You may not need fancy equipment.
