I have played various instruments including guitar, drums and ukulele. I even played bassoon at school. I have owned a Peavey bass that I bought from @stav years ago, but I have never really learnt to play it. Although it looks like a guitar you will play it differently.

As part of my Musora subscription I have access to the various schools, but have mostly done the drums one. They are starting a bass one soon and offered an introductory course that ran over four weeks. Each lesson was about ten minutes and you would work on the same song three times trying different techniques.

The teacher was Moa Munoz who has played with various people, including Olivia Rodrigo. She did a good job of it, keeping up continual encouragement whilst playing.

I enjoyed the course and would like to continue learning this instrument. I do not consider myself more than a beginner for now, but these things take time. I want to record more of my own songs and it will be great to do more of the instruments myself.

There are some really good bass players on Hive so check them out. They inspire me.

Rock on.

You are speaking my language there...

Fantastic stuff and I can’t heard of Musuro until now. I’m tempted to sign up and learn some new things.

I started on their Drumeo school and later went all in for lifetime membership. I may well try the singing lessons some time. They post some stuff on Youtube so you can see what it's like.

I’ve got all instruments here, no drum kit but I can learn from it. I’ll have a look at their YouTube channel.

My friend has been trying to find the best device to record his plays, what do you recommend?

I just recorded audio on the PC with Audacity. There's loads of apps out there, but you really need an audio interface.

I used to have a bass. It was a nice change from playing guitar. I miss it a bit actually!

I was looking to learn years ago as a way to get into a band as there are just too many guitarists, but then other stuff happened. I'll keep up the drums too as I am making progress.

You are practically a one man band!

People have said I should be banned.

sound cool!

It’s good to establish a bassline of natural ability when learning something new.

Need those fundamentals.

This is amazing!! I’m looking forward to more bass-updates😎
