Yes. Messenger is reading from the messages from the memo part of transactions.

Thank you for sharing the details about Peak-Open-project.
This is what I intend to do - finish the messenger based on transaction-memos. Till the time, if peak-open-projects have exposed the APIs, I'll implement it in the-hive-mobile.app

After completing transaction-memo based messenger, I am also thinking of integrating the leo-threads.
