Pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #189 toujours organisé par @digi-me, le seul et unique, je vous propose cette collaboration de Aldarwin Hernadez Garcia et Origami réalisée sur les murs d'un dépanneur dans le quartier d'Hochelaga Maisonneuve à Montréal. Et comme toujours avec ces deux artistes, c'est de la couleur et de la poésie. Parfait pour embellir une rue...

Mural discovered one morning last year on the way to work by bike. And yes that's my bike in the foreground 😀. I can't wait to get back on my bike and lose the pounds I've put on over the winter 😅.

Murale découverte un matin l'année dernière en allant au travail en vélo. Et oui c'est mon vélo au premier plan 😀. Il me tarde de reprendre mon vélo pour perdre les kilos pris pendant cet hiver 😅.

Aldarwin & Origimi

This mural, done during the summer of 2021, consists of two parts, a colorful one by Aldarwin, a Mexican artist based in Montreal for many years. Then, separated by a huge ivy that has taken over this wall, it's by Origami l'Explorateur with a tree in black and white. The small round window features the phrase "Faites Voyager les Origamis" (Make Origami Travel), as origami cranes are usually glued to the wall for passers-by to pick up and deposit them in another location.

Cette murale, réalisée pendant l'été 2021, se compose de deux parties, une colorée faite par Aldarwin, artiste mexicain basé à Montréal depuis de nombreuses années. Puis séparée par une lierre énorme qui a pris d'assaut ce mur, il s'agit de Origami l'Explorateur avec un arbre en noir et blanc. On retrouve dans la petite fenêtre ronde, la phrase "Faites Voyager les Origamis" car généralement des grues en origami sont collés sur le mur, pour que les passants les prennent et les déposer plus loin.

Il semble que le quartier a été un beau terrain de jeux pour ces deux artistes car un peu loin dans une ruelle, Aldarwin et Origami ont réalisé plusieurs autres oeuvres...

... like this garage door with the same principle of colored shapes by Aldarwin and a black-and-white character by Origami. That little girl looks familiar, maybe from a cartoon. Do you have an idea? The garage door next to it features two Koi fish. Really well done.

... comme cette porte de garage avec toujours le même principe des formes colorées par Aldarwin et un personnage en noir et blanc par Origami. Cette petite fille me dit quelque chose, peut-être un dessin animé. Avez-vous une idée ? La porte de garage a côté représente deux poissons Koïs. Vraiment bien fait.

A few yards further on, we find this colorful garage. It's a pity I wasn't able to take in all the work, as it's on private land. / FR : Quelques mètres plus loin on retrouve ce garage tout aussi coloré. Dommage que je n'ai pas pu prendre toute l'œuvre vue qu'elle se situe sur un terrain privé.

Then opposite, there's another garage painted by the two artists, this time with the help of Adida Fallen Angel, with this background featuring the word LOVE repeated almost ad infinitum. / FR : Puis en face, il y encore un garage peint par les deux artistes avec cette fois l'aide de Adida Fallen Angel avec ce fond avec le mot LOVE répété presque à l'infini.

It's really interesting to see several works by the same artists in the same alley, like an exhibition in an art gallery 😀. / FR : C'est vraiment intéressant de voir plusieurs œuvres des mêmes artistes dans une même ruelle comme une exposition dans une galerie d'art 😀.
