I'm still show you my stock of StreetArt photos taken last year. The snow that fell on Monday night is melting. I hope that was the last one 🤞. My bike is ready, as is my camera for this new season. In the meantime, here are two works by Sloast hiding the renovation work on a restaurant wall.

Je continue d'écouler mon stock de photos StreetArt prises l'année dernière. La neige tombée dans la nuit de lundi à mardi est en train de fondre. J'espère que c'était la dernière 🤞. Mon vélo est prêt, comme mon appareil photo pour cette nouvelle saison. En attendant, voici deux oeuvres de Sloast qui cachent les travaux de rénovation d'un restaurant.

On Prince-Arthur pedestrian street, near Carré Saint-Louis in Montreal. This is Café Mezcal, which has been under renovation for some time now, so I don't know if it will reopen. But across the street, there's a very good café Nous Sommes Café (We Are Coffee), super friendly and very good espresso.

Sur la rue piétonnière Prince-Arthur, tout près du Carré Saint-Louis à Montréal. Il s'agit du Café Mezcal qui est en rénovation depuis quelque temps déjà, je ne sais pas si il va réouvrir. Mais en face, il y a un très bon café Nous Sommes Café, super sympathique et très bon expresso.

Sloast

This isn't the first time I've mentioned this artist in my StreetArt series. As a reminder, Chloe Rowan aka Sloast is a Toronto-born artist now settled in Montreal after studying Art at McGill University. Her signature eye on you or see you is a common sight on Montreal walls.
For these two works, Sloast was invited to paint the wooden panels protecting the restaurant during the renovations. Much better that way, shouldn't it be compulsory for an artist to decorate them ?

Ce n'est pas la première fois que je parle de cette artiste dans ma série StreetArt. Pour rappel, Chloe Rowan aka Sloast est une artiste originaire de Toronto maintant installée à Montréal après ses études en Art à l'Université McGill. Sa signature eye on you ou see you est très présente sur les murs de Montréal.
Pour ces deux oeuvres, Sloast a été invitée à peindre les panneaux de bois qui protège le restaurant pendant le restaurant pendant les rénovation. Beaucoup mieux comme cela, cela devrait être obligatoire qu'un artiste s'occupe de les décorer, non ?

Ty Pro & Srats

While in Montreal, artists from Toronto and Ottawa also left their mark with a few collages. They are Ty Pro (above) and Srats (the series of mice with heart-shaped eyes). You can find out more about these two artists on the various posts made on their passage last autumn: Sticker Art #068 and Sticker Art #069.

Lors de leur passage à Montréal, des artistes de Toronto et Ottawa ont laissé aussi leur marque avec quelques collages. Il s'agit de Ty Pro (en haut) et Srats (la série de souris aux yeux en forme de coeur). Vous pouvez retrouver plus d'informations sur ces deux artistes sur les différents posts faits sur leur passage l'automne dernier : Sticker Art #068 et Sticker Art #069.

Another artist took advantage of these wooden panels to paste this collage of a little girl. It looks like a photo from the '50s. Not far away, in Graffiti Alley, there was this other collage in a very similar style. Probably the same artiste.

Un(e) autre artiste a profité de ces panneaux de bois pour coller ce collage d'une petite fille. Cela ressemble à une photo des années 50. Pas très loin, dans la Graffiti Alley, il y avait cet autre collage au style très semblable. Sûrement le même artiste.
