Enjoyin Ballantine's 21 Years while Working

in Whisky/Whiskey2 years ago

Managed to find this group and whisky is one of the things i enjoy in life together with Watches (unfortunately the only hive community i found about watches is pretty much dead), so let me share with everyone this almost finished bottle of Ballantine's 21 Years.

I always enjoy both beautiful timepieces and a good drink. This particular whiskey is no exception. Extremely smooth and easy to drink, there is also some sweetness to this exceptional blend. Although recently i begin to favor Japanese Gin...

Enjoying this while "working from home" but its almost 5pm so why not ??

Almost done with this bottle which i have kept since the start of the pandemic, slowly taking small glasses during times when i felt like drinking something smooth.

Now when that is finished, what shall i open next from my small and modest collection ?

Perhaps i will enjoy the vast difference of that Triple Wood Peated smokiness ?

Cheers and until the next taste of wonder.

I haven't tried a Ballantine's, it looks like it is in good company in that collection. I would defo go for triple peat next!

Welcome! We have plenty of whisky and gin in our house, but I've not got into gin. My other half drinks it and people keep giving her more. I ought to try a few. Not sure if there is a gin community.

You should see if people are interested in getting a watches community going. The Hive community is still fairly small, but there is a broad range of interests. I have started a few communities and some are doing well.

Cheers!

!BEER (no whisky token yet)

ya there was a watch community but the last post was like c/Time Pieces but its hardly any activity there. Thx for the tips.

Hey @bladesong, here is a little bit of BEER from @steevc for you. Enjoy it!

Do you want to win SOME BEER together with your friends and draw the BEERKING.

I'd probably go with the Glenlivet, but I don't know know too much about Scotch. I am more of a bourbon guy. Most gin tastes like pine needles to me so I can't really do it. I have a pretty decent collection that I have been gathering over these Covid months too. I just picked up a couple of bottles from our trip down to Tennessee last week.

unfortunately i never really liked bourbon as taste a bit like cough mixture for me..hahaa

I can understand!

I don't mind Balantines, I've had that one over allot of ice, stuff have kept me warm on a night or two lol.
