This is an amazing post and exactly what being a community member is all about, I been on
Hive since before it was Hive and your guide helped me to better understand how it all
works. I don't think you are aware of how much this is needed, the evidence of that is in
how well this post is doing, one of the main issues hurdles to overcome with Hive is to
keep new users engage, we can see in the data that new users are joining but they are not
very active. My idea to combat this is to create a community that new users will
automatically be added to when they sign up. In this community, we have people like you and
other accounts that want to help new users find their way around the Hive. There are also
accounts on here that will delegate Hive Power to new accounts giving them a boost in
influence on the platform.
Thanks so much for this! I'm honored to hear such a long-time Hive veteran got something from the guide :)
You're right! I could tell it was needed, but I didn't realize to what degree.
I'm not sure where I can see that data, but it doesn't surprise me at all. My partner @cynshineonline randomly had her post say "(Image not shown due to low ratings)", but all her other images show just fine. I was unable to Google a solution, and now she never wants to post again, lol. Instantly dis-engaged :)
I love your idea of a community for beginners, is it already available? /C/LearnHive ? /C/HiveBeginners ? /C/HiveNoobs ?
I'd be happy to join.
I agree about delegation to newbies. I'm lucky that @meesterboom and @intothewild found me and delegated me some HP to get me started, because when I began I had zero RC and couldn't post or contribute at all. I would've left the platform without them, almost certainly.
Thanks again for a lovely comment and good vibes! 🙏
