I Overslept!.........My Actifit Report Card: December 5 2022

This first picture is another ornament on my Christmas tree 🎄 I really like sparkling ornaments! 😁🎄

I overslept today. That was not the intention, but I guess I must have needed the sleep. I remember dreaming that a mouse 🐭 had a biting hold on my left thumb and it was fairly painful. Not sure exactly what that means, lol!

Needless to say, the early start was blown. 😏 We set out for the post office 🏤 as no mail is being delivered due to ice on our road. It’s not really that bad, but after talking to the delivery lady(we ran into her making her route as we were leaving and I pulled over to talk with her) I realize she’s not going to go up our road. We’ve had no mail delivery for 6 days now.

Arriving at the post office, 🏤 I had a Secret Santa package to mail. When it was my turn at the counter, I told the gal I was also there to pick up mail for our address. I am expecting 5 Amazon packages and all show that they are at the post office. 🏤 Upon talking with the postmaster, she says they have 20 un-worked pallets of packages. She says they’re trying to work through them. Last Thursday I overheard another postal worker informing a customer that there were 15 pallets then. So it’s increasing in number and they don’t have the staff to work it. Seems like to me that maybe the postmaster dropped the ball on hiring adequate staffing. It seems logical that you would do that in August, September or at the latest, October in order to be trained and prepped for the season. Like I said, it would be logical! Anyway, I know that a lot of folks are frustrated with this whole situation. We are rural enough that Amazon and other online shopping is the best way to get product and gifts purchased. If they’re this far behind and it’s just December 5th, how much worse do you think it will get by Christmas? Enough ranting for now. 😏😏😏

As soon as we got back, we readied to hike. Jan came with.

I found a little snow cave.

Actually, this just looks like one; it’s really part of an old tree stump along the trail, but if you adjust your perspective, it’d make a sheltered place to spend the night if you were on a journey!

It was a good hike, but somehow once again, I’ve managed to throw my back out while sleeping. How do I keep doing that?! Anyway, I was hoping hiking might help; it didn’t unfortunately, but I did complete it.
