Rusty giving his heeling energy. He is such a great cat.

My wife is still recovering after his surgery Monday, but things are going really great right now for her. Tuesday was a bit stressful after I brought her home from the hospital because I had to leave her at home for a few hours while I ran around to a bunch of different pharmacies trying to get her post op medications filled. I don’t know why hospitals can’t fill the prescriptions there at the hospital’s pharmacy and send you home with everything that you need, but I guess that would mean that the healthcare in the US would need fixed before we could have any of that.

This surgery was a pretty major surgery for my wife and one that can potentially change her life from here on out. She has been dealing with pain her entire life because of her body and reproductive organs basically attacking itself each month. She would usually only get a few pain free days each month, and then have to suffer the rest of the time. It really takes a toll on one’s mental health having to deal with constant pain, so I am glad that she was able to get this surgery and that she has a high chance of not having to deal with any of that again.

Another thing I am so grateful for is the fact that I can be home with her during this time and make sure she is cared for 24/7. Before I was able to be in a position that I was basically retired, I would have had to deal with trying to make sure I had time off from work and then have to deal with my work treating me like shit for being away to take care of my family. But now, I am able to focus 100% of my attention onto her and making sure she heals properly.

I am grateful for my wife’s work. It is such a great environment for her and one that she has been doing amazing at. Yesterday, she received some flowers from her boss and he ordered us a huge dinner. She also got flowers from some friends. It is nice that she is surrounded by such great people during this time.

She has been wanting to get this surgery done for a while now, but things were not ready for her to get it yet. She was never in a good work position to get it and neither was I. Over the past year and a half, we have also focused on our health and mental health, which I think has made this healing process so much better for her. Thank you everyone for the positive energy and healing vibes during this time. It is much appreciated.

Great to hear that this surgery will probably have a great outcome. It is like being handed a whole new life. You being there to care for her is a huge bonus for both of you.

I know why businesses are hard on people that are out of work, but, it doesn't make sense to punish someone when it comes to family health.

Patients that have prescriptions in hand when discharged is a critical component. Without this, it puts some at risk for readmission. That is just insane releasing them and hoping someone has enough time off work to get them, especially if they have to go to more than one pharmacy, which is not unheard of in the world today. Nobody carries everything anymore... Anyway...

I like that she is surrounded by good people! She has to be a good person for so much love!

Thank you. It has been great to be able to help her recover after this surgery. So many women do not have support after this type of surgery and they can have life lasting effects if they do not heal properly.

I can’t even imagine my wife trying to go around and get her medication filled on her own after this. It is ridiculous that people are sent away from the hospital and forced to deal with that.

She has to be a good person for so much love!

She is the greatest person I have ever known.

She is the greatest person I have ever known.

That says it all.

This is good news for both of you. I understand what you are both dealing with as I'm in a similar situation with my wife's health issues (autoimmune disease constant pain and pills by the bucket load) I don't talk about it generally but felt the need to express my support.

I hope this surgery helps your wife and you to cope with the ongoing stress. I know how tough it is.

I'm constantly amazed at how people manage to keep going with these kind of health issues. It is truly awe inspiring and amazing at the same time.

My wife's had this illness since 2005. She's almost lost the fight a few times but she a tough old bird. Must be her Scots heritage 😊👍🏼

I am sorry you guys are going through similar issues. That would be so hard to deal with an autoimmune disease. I hope that your wife can get some relief from the pain. She sounds like a tough woman. Thank you for supporting her through all of this. Women are a lot tougher than they get credit for.

Public awareness of these kind of illnesses can be frustrating as on the surface the afflicted person may look and seem fine and in perfect health.

I used to get mightily annoyed when people who should know better (doctors) offer stupid suggestions like. "Have you tried exercising?" etc. Maybe they are just ignorant of the condition?

My wife also has a very misunderstood condition called fibromyalgia which means pain throughout the body and is actually made worse by exercising!

I do wonder sometimes where these doctors have been taught?

That sounds miserable. I hope that she can find relief and have a better quality of life.

As I'm sure you'll agree. It is what it is and we have adapted to the situation. Life goes on and we have to make the most of it.
Give my regards to your wife and hope she finds some relief too. 👍🏼

I don’t know why hospitals can’t fill the prescriptions there at the hospital’s pharmacy and send you home with everything that you need, but I guess that would mean that the healthcare in the US would need fixed before we could have any of that.

I understand you perfectly, it is annoying, after leaving the hospital they send you thousands of medicines, and you have to go to many pharmacies to be able to supply medicine to that family member who is in his weak moments, the bad thing is when we arrive at a pharmacy thinking that they have everything, and it turns out that it is not so.

I'm glad your wife is recovering, I wish her the best for a quicker recovery, these pictures are great, Rusty really knows how to take care of his mistress.

Thanks homie. I appreciate it.

That's great news, man. I'm sure it's gonna get better. All my best wishes are with you. I hope everyone has such great coworkers and bosses, man. That's really nice of him.

Thanks man. We are surrounded by some great people right now.

Great news, thank JEHOVAH she has done the surgery because I can imagine the pain she goes through every day of her life, I never wish that pain for anyone even my enemy, am planning to go for my own surgery soon because the pain is becoming unbearable.

just hearing this makes me sad. it must be so difficult for her knowing that you always gonna be in pain, it is great to hear that you can be at home with her all the time and comfort her she is very brave.

great to hear she has lots of people around her that care, a very inspiring post to share :)

Good to hear. All the best!

It's a shame that developed countries have a shortage of medicines that people need

Good health

Good to hear of your wife's speedy recovery. The beauty of the flowers itself shows how much she is being loved by her friends. Wishing her a healthy recovery.

I hope her recovery goes as smoothly as possible from the surgery. And that is great you are there to care for her, and I am sure she appreciates it too.
