RE: Where The Lines Are Blurred

It's interesting that you use metrics like SEO and tags, I didn't know that curators do that. I have been hearing so much the last few days that SEO is now dying a slow death because of AI generated content and there are rumours that search engines like Google will start to penalise those that use AI generated content when it comes to searchability. Trust me, a lot of people are abusing this for rankings and I think they are going to get smacked down for it in the long run.

I think that each person's account should reflect them as a person, but even that is hardly ever 100% true because many people choose to remain anonymous and I feel that they should be allowed that if that's what they choose. In terms of content though, there's nothing wrong with a serious blog if you're a serious person and there's also nothing wrong with fun. Some of the people that I follow are really hilarious and I'll often read their posts just for levity. It's all really subjective because the user experience is different for each person.

Sorry about your laptop crash. I know how infuriating that can be. Have a good day 🦋

I didn't use it for Hive, only for web2 content because tags in hive is a bit irrelevant other than showing up in different front-ends and earning some extra tokens. With hive, I mostly use the 2nd approach + all the other curation rules that exist.

I am sure it was about a couple months ago they also updated their algorithm. Basically they are also citing to "focus on people content first" than the rigid SEO focus. If you're interested in these it's actually here and it's a guide for "creators" about google SEO practices, the newer one. I think May 2023 they'd also roll out newer updates. So perhaps they would finally penalize AI written content.

I mean, everyone can really do what they want here and I am sure there's audience for everything which is how it should be and at least, how I see it.

And yep, it was frustrating but I am trying to get use to it 😄. Have a good week!
