Love second-hand shops! They have such character. And books are definitely a favourite. When I lived in the US one of my favourite rades, was the second hand book shops. My favourite book? Definitely the old classics. Dickens, Gaskell, the Bronte sisters. I totally agree with you getting the children to love reading. It wasn't hard with my two. Hubby and I are both bookworms (well we were before the homesteading took most of our free time) our children LOVE their books. Really enjoy your market friday @dswigle. Have a happy weekend

We love the classics here! We just cannot beat second-hand, giving another life. It feels good!
I read to the kids every day, every moment we had a lull in life and bedtime. We are bookworms here, so it was no stretch. During the elementary school years, homeschooling and all the activities, it was less time reading for me, I just cannot imagine how you have any.
