RE: Reading for Pleasure and other Trinkets - A Market Friday Story

in Market Friday3 years ago

Thank you, Dan. @bluemoon. I think I have changed the format so many times, I have lost count. I am happy to hear that you like the flow of it. There are still a few things I need to change, but, I am not much of an artist, so change comes slowly to me. You are very gifted in adding little touches to your endings that are very appealing to the eye and keeps my attention.

Most of the memories in that shop are too old for personal memories, but, a few things I can remember my grandparents having. They held on to things much longer years ago, it was not a throwaway society like it is now. I guess that is why I love second-hand bookstores and even second-hand shops. It gives new life to something that is not done with life. How often do we have things that sit in our homes, never used and put away, out of sight. I donate these things. I f I am not using it and never will, I will donate it so another can get some use out of it.

Don't read that book! Hold on to the memory. I have read several books again that had an impact on my life, but, read them decades after the initial read. I was a different person then and looked at things differently. I don't think we can go back to that time, except in nostalgic memory. Otherwise, it spoils what I had to try to relive that moment. Even in a book. Of course, that is just me. You may be different. :)) And I don't think it will have the same impact. We may have grown from the book, but, we have also evolved because of it.

I almost used the Romanian thank you first!! I hope you saw it!

謝謝! Gracias! Merci! Danke sehr! 감사합니다 ! Takk! Toda! Спасибо!ありがとうございました! Dankie! شكرا ! hvala! Благодаря ти! dank je! Terima kasih! köszönöm! Dziękuję Ci ! mulțumesc! obrigado! Takk skal du ha!

How could I ever forget you? I had to chase you down and drag you back here. I am joking. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Dan. I want to thank you for stopping by and reading my post, leaving your always kind words behind!

#MarketFriday loves you! ❤️

Thank you, Denise! I would have loved so much to write today in #marketfriday. I could not. It's almost midnight now and I can barely respond to your comment. I had a full day with my niece. On the other hand, here we are approaching Easter. It is a time of a lot of work, my wife is manic during this time to do everything for the house ... repairs, cleaning, painting ..., then next week the preparation of specific dishes begins. I'm sorry I didn't have time to write ...
I also like second-hand shops, for the same reasons as you.
The truth is that I am also afraid to reread the book. When I read it I was a teenager, now ...
I suffered with the movies. Movies that I liked a lot of decades ago, now some didn't tell me anything. That's right, we've changed, we're not the same anymore.
Thank you for putting "multumesc", I like to think that because of me to some extent, I know that there were more Romanians who wrote in #marketfriday. You forced me a lot with this and I hope that next Friday will be a post of mine.

Oh, seriously! It was for you, of course. But, no guilt about #MarketFriday. At this point, it is difficult to find something to post, especially with the problems you are having at the Markets. I have been to places like that and it is uncomfortable. But, most places here are ok. So feel no pressure, because it is only a tag and I interact with you without it, so I am not worried. :)

Second-hand shops are the best!

I think those books and movies fed a different intellect and a whole lot of emotions, at least for me. I am not sure I would corrupt the memory. It will never be the same if you read it again.

Again. No worries. This is for fun, not to worry about. 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!
