This is Chichén Itzá, located in Yucatán, Mexico. The city was founded around 850 AD and it flourished during the following two or three centuries. You will hear and read many old legends about Chichén Itzá, still passed on as truths, but here's what we know now. Chichén Itzá was the most cosmopolitan of Mayan capitals. During the few centuries that this city was at its height, the Mayan built temples with influences from Puuc, Toltec, and Mixtecan architecture. An all-over Mexicanization can be seen also in art and ceramics throughout Chichén Itzá, proving international trade and cultural exchange. The Itzaes, rulers of Chichén Itzá, were a Maya-speaking tribe from Central Mexico

What is amazing is the skill it took for something so huge to survive in such a humid atmosphere for so long! Above is the Group of the Thousand Columns, which in all likelihood, was a marketplace. They built a new building to the north of here, nevertheless, these buildings still remained in use.

A few people have had trouble. What do we call a #MarketFriday post? Go to any type of market, or anywhere where you pay money for a service. It can be a museum, a movie theatre, or an auction. Be creative! You can almost make anything a market when you think like that. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? We like to compare prices, otherwise, it is just pictures of a market! You don't have to list every price, the point is so that others can get a sense of the market. Is it trending higher or lower than my market?

Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Join me as we share our markets across the globe. I always look forward to seeing what you send me! It is amazing to see the different markets and cultures of our friends here on Hive.

kite festival washington, dc.jpg

Blossom Kite Festival

Imagine hundreds of kites in every color, shape, and size soaring skyward around the Washington Monument and you will begin to appreciate the Blossom Kite Festival. Kite fliers of all ages from across the United States and the world gather to fly handmade kites and compete for prizes during this colorful event.

The Kite Festival features a handmade kite competition for children and adults, with awards given in categories such as most artistic, most humorous, and most patriotic. Other highlights include a Hot Tricks kite flying competition and the popular Rokkaku Kite battle, in which Japanese-style kites battle each other for sole command of the sky.

The original Smithsonian Kite Festival was sponsored by the Smithsonian Associates and the National Air and Space Museum. It was founded in 1967 by aviation pioneer Paul E. Garber (1899-1992) source

See above? Source? That is how you source something that you have used from the internet or a quote from a book or anything you write that does not belong to you. You must show your source of information. If you are in doubt about how to do this, leave a comment below. I read/respond to all of them. You can be downvoted and/or accused of plagiarizing. Using words that are not your own. Just source it!

kite festival 2.jpg

There was something magical about seeing all those kites dancing in the air around the Capitol and the Smithsonian Castle. I do it every year, except during Covid, of course, when no crowds gathered. That was almost everywhere in the world. Hopefully, they will not shut the world down ever again.

When I am doing a post, I try to take a picture of something recognizable. A sign, a well-known monument or building...even a person. I sometimes do it to make it more recognizable or even credible. Plus it is fun to show off your town, or someplace you have been. There are not always these opportunities and there are times I show you something you have never seen before - and that is fun too.

food.jpg

Food is always a big hit! Where you went, what you had, the expense of a good meal/bad meal out. How was the service, the table settings... Half the fun is reliving the experience. Beef Wellington and lobster tails, with an array of veggies and whipped potatoes. Truly an art the way they serve. We played with the food a little bit before I took the pictures. Sorry! But food is one of the things I love to post and hardly ever remember to do it.

rack of lamb.jpg

Rack of Lamb. This is actually the best lamb I have ever had. New Zealand Lamb. The dining rooms are all stunning. They set the tables formally (although there are plenty of informal places to eat if you prefer) and you select from a varied menu every night. That makes it nice to have different choices. If you are allergic to something, they take good care of you. Of course, it is not only Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines that does this, but, most of the cruise ships. If you go on enough of them, you will pick a favorite. A definite #MarketFriday! You cannot go on one unless you pay up. It is fun to be a little creative or to be different with your market.

divider2 (1).png

No matter where you find yourself on the ship, there will be music. Soft music, playing in the background, and the mood lighting making a peaceful atmosphere. These are the moments cherished, where you find yourself living the dream, your imagination blowing through the ship. Down a flight of stairs is a place called the Crypt, a nightclub that will play appropriate Goth-themed music. You want it, they have it. Karaoke is a favorite. I may or may not have done it. What happens on Royal Caribbean stays there.

cruise ship 2.jpg

So, this is one of the ships I cruised on. It is just an alternative to going on a traditional vacation. This is just a floating holiday. Sometimes it works and sometimes I would rather do something else, But, right now, at this time in my life, when I get time off, it feels good to get pampered and waited on. A little anyway... Another different #MarketFriday, but, who doesn't love to be a little bit different? But, I love being practical too. So there is no right or wrong here, just what drives you that week. I love to share and be shared with! I have always and forever liked to see different fruits and vegetables or products that are being sold. Perhaps I cannot get them here. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be at the grocery store, the local marketplace, or even an art gallery. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Be different if you wish! It does not have to be a traditional market! Tell us a little bit about the market, what brought you here?

cruise ship.jpg

Go to the market! Any market will do! Food, Clothing, Plant or Animal, if you wish. You can go to the zoo or an art auction. There are movie theaters and museums! Anywhere or anything that you pay money for a service. I once went to a nail salon. I made my girl famous!

What is the most unusual place you have used for your market?

I get a lot of #MarketFriday posts and I love it! The problem is, I get posts that aren't #MarketFriday that carry the tag. Don’t forget to hashtag it! #MarketFriday by @dswigle Some stick a #MarketFriday tag on it because it is their way of sending more traffic through, Wrong! I try to vote everyone 100% for the posts they write, So sticking my tag on an actifit post or feathered Friday post isn't helpful, it just makes me work harder to figure out if this post belongs to me. One last thing about tagging. If it is a #MarketFriday post, why is it tagged 6th or 7th? You are tagging the big votes before the tag you are posting for? That is no bueno!

chritmas.png

Who doesn't love to see what they will be selling in some foreign market, shopping in places I have never been to and some, never even heard of? There is always a curiosity attached to foreign ingredients, different produce, or any product sold. So, yes! I would love to see yours! We all do!! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be at the grocery, art galleries, or even a Christmas Market, wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Don't forget to use the hashtag #MarketFriday and @dswigle.

Above This was my garden store that I frequently visit in the growing months of plants. When the flowers end, they bring out select pieces of Christmas and then decorate them until they won't hold another ornament. I drift through the store, imagining what it would look like at my house and then I quickly dash those thoughts. It is so easy to get carried away when the ornaments are so beautiful.

And just like that, this post is done. I hope you had a good time and learned a little something new. As always, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit, and just remember, #MarketFriday loves you! Thank you for supporting the challenge! Have a fabulous day! Cheers!!

Wow! So many old and historical places you have visited!

This is my post for this week.

https://ecency.com/hive-150329/@kaminchan/market-friday-admiring-old-temple-and-bonsai-garden-at-the-grand-palace

Thank you for your kind support to so many budding bloggers.

Have a wonderful day!

Indeed! I love history! One of the reasons I go on some of the cruises is the itineraries that bring me places I wouldn't go to otherwise

Thanks so much for stopping by and dropping your link.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!

#MarketFriday loves you!

Wow for a moment I thought you were in Egypt! Now that would be a cruise...

I like the idea of leniency as far as topics for MF. In fact, I decided to test some boundaries with my MF post, albeit a little late 😯

Sorry in advance lol.

https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@old-guy-photos/always-a-day-late

Are you a witch? I just looked at a tour for Egypt and Turkey. I only imagined exploring one of the world's earliest and greatest civilizations. Imagine the ancient pyramids at Giza and perhaps the tombs of pharaohs... what is not to love, right? Plus, you get to ride a camel. Turkey is just an amazing country, where Eastern culture meets West... There is no other place in the world like it.

But no, I cheated and that was Chichen Itza, a complex of Mayan ruins on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It was the best one of the Mayan sites I have ever seen.

I like the way #MarketFriday has gone over the years. You really like to test the boundaries, don't you? I say: Bring it on!

#MarketFriday loves you!

Had fun looking at your creative photographs and reading the tips and "how-tos" @dswigle

@tipu curate

Hehe! Indeed. Thank you so much, Nina! @ninahadkin

Please fix my name tag, Sis✍😊 @dswigle

I am seriously fat-fingering everything today! Sorry about that!

No worries, Denise, and I can relate.
I've used a stylus for my smartphone many years because my arthritis fingers can't type correctly. Make matters worse, the typos are automatically added to my "learned words" (dictionary).✍
It's an endless cycle!🔁 @dswigle🙄

Hehe! Indeed. Thank you so much, Nina! @ninahaskin kin

Thank you, teacher! A necessary school posting. I remember five years ago when I started writing in your challenge too. I didn't understand what I was supposed to write, it was hard. Now, for new participants, it must be easier. If they won't thank you, I'll thank you now for them. I'm also putting the link to my just born post...

Something Priceless

How can that be? You always have had great posts that show up on #MarketFriday! You never even blinked - just dropped what you had. You have always been good.

I watched it being born this morning and am just getting to the comments. You are so timely, you are making me look bad! LOL Just kidding.

I was hoping that this would answer a few of the questions people had. :) You are already well-schooled!

Thanks so much for dropping your link!

#MarketFriday loves you!

What is the most unusual place i have used for a market, hmm for me that's hard I have stretched the limit for what is a market so many times LOL
let me think on that

. . . . . ? . . ? . . .?

Ohh yeah it may well be the one I share next week if I can prepare it in time LOL

Glad to see you say NZ lamb is the best I totally agree of course, and best cooked simply without to many flavors to take away from the taste of the lamb

And here is my post for this week https://peakd.com/hive-194913/@tattoodjay/market-friday-haskell-gardens-rttnnu

It is definitely the best I have ever had!!

Oh, well, I always look forward to your posts, but, now! I can hardly wait! Thank you so much for your great participation!

#MarketFriday loves you!

MY wife used to want to cook it well the legs of lamb and would over spice it, I convinced her to let me do it my way once and now she insists I always do ti and love it

Well due to unforeseen circumstances it would be this coming Market Friday post but hopefully the next one :)

My mom loved her leg of lamb and she didn't over-spice it because she didn't know how to cook one until she mastered it. My dad always made the pickles for the same reason - he was better at it.

You know I love anything coming down the #MarketFriday line! :) I hope your weekend is going well!

This is a great "how-to" post! I'm sure that if there were any questions, you've answered them in this post!

Thank you for sharing some great tips!

You can find my post for this week here.

Thank you. It should have been a little more teacher friendly instead of storytelling, but, I hope it was helpful!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words and dropping your post!

I thought it was done very well!

Have a great weekend, @dswigle👍!

Thank you! You are truly kind! The weekend is ours!

Yippee!

well Good morning Denise and happy #marketfriday to you, i probably won't make a marketfriday post today if you don't like it talk to the paw ...

have a great weekend

Jinx!! I'm talking to the paw! Hehe! Thanks for your support, Mick! @stresskiller

What a coincidence!

It was only yesterday that I took out of the storage the slides from my trip to Mexico in 2004 and now I see you mentioning Yucatán :)

What a happy coincidence! Such a wonderful place, full of sunshine and historic sights. I went there again in January and it was even more beautiful, with fewer people and more natural beauty.

Have you looked through your slides yet? I used to take all my travel photos in slides, it was cheaper for m to have developed. I need to go through them again to see what I can see.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words.

#MarketFriday loves you!

Just a brief look. I want to find the time properly dive into them, maybe even take out the old projector and make a memories night at home :)

Here is my (little delayed) contribution to your lovely initiative!

Oh! How awesome! You posted today. I look forward to making my way over there.

We have memory nights with the family, old times from when I was growing up to when they were growing up an times in traveling. It has been an amazing time, not because of the glorious sights, although they have been! But, for the differences in our world years ago and how much closer it is all getting. And it is still the small things that separate us the most.

Hello, Stefanos! @fotostef I hope your weekend is currently wonderful!

Those ancient civilizations and their ingenious architecture always fascinates me. It's a pity the history is so uncertain. Pyramids. Parthenon. ..... I wonder though ...

Their architecture is still studied as it is one of the clues of what Mayan life was like, It is such an interesting trip to immerse oneself into it. One of my friends and her husband have spent over 30 years studying the ruins and the culture.

What an interesting life!

Thank you so much for stopping by and (not) dropping your link! ❤️

Ooooooops.....Sorry. I totally forgot. But, let me tell you that is how it has been with me recently. I'm juggling so much that some things get overlooked or not properly completed. Youch. I baked a double batch of sourdough bread and forgot the oven on after putting the dough in .... so the bread was, well only kind of redeemable by making bread and butter pudding with extra custard.

Haha! Oh, lovely! 😍

Its fine. You know I was just funning you. Otherwise I wouldn't have dropped it for you. I know how busy ( and then some) you are. I was raised by an ultra busy mom. I have the deepest respect for you. XO

Thanks. I know but I still had to apologize. I feel like I'm dropping the ball when I forget. To drop the link or to take the bread out the oven 🙃

Haha! One is wayyyyyy worse than the other! On the other hand, bread pudding is yummy! :)

Hello Denise, I hope you're doing well !

Totally loved that collection of Market Friday :D So nice to travel through..! And you gave me again the wish to visit Yucatán, but but I'm a bit afraid to be disappointed by the amount of people, I wonder...

But I reassure you, even if I am as always late to come and say hello - and add my link - I was not at the other end of the world ^^ !

Take good care, I wish you a really good weekend 😇🌱

Not every place is crowded there. Many of the tours are covered by busses and people that were visiting for the day on cruise ships, even though it is hours and hours from the coast. I stayed closer and it made the visit better, being able to be there on the off time. Something this amazing is not going to be a spot where you get to be alone. :)

Oh, but you are never late! I am accommodating at best. :) I am happy to see so many people come and even drop links and say hello. I have nothing to complain about. You were not at the end of the world? It is time you stay home a bit, yes?

Thank you for dropping the link, stopping by and leaving your worst, and you are appreciated! Have a lovely weekend as well.

#MarketFriday loves you!

Yes, I guess there are peak and off-peak times... and not everyone can be in the same place at the same time ^^ !

Today I'm, late haha ! Caught a little flu that tired me a lot, plus yesterday we went for a last visit to the house, last one before the final act of purchase. That was intense with the growth of everything in Spring, and the amount of birds, that was really great to see it again :)

Thank you dear Denise, I hope you're having a good weekend 😘

When I saw the first photo, I got excited thinking this was going to be "human sacrifice" Market Friday.....I wonder if the "people" bought popcorn and drinks for the show. I know a few politicians I'd like to see sacrificed...LOLOLOL !

Hey... it's Friday morning and I'm about to walk to work. Maybe that explains my morbid humor this morning. ha ha.....You can thump me later.

I still don't do so many markets in the real these days. I was already a bit of a homebody before covid and now I am a semi recluse. Oh No ! I haven't recovered my old marketing activities that I did before covid. That's a crime, I know.

I enjoyed your post and all your suggestions of possible subjects. Who knew you would have to go through a bajillion non-marketfriday posts that are tagged marketfriday. What an unacceptable action.

I hope you have a lovely day.

Haha! I have to say that your comment left me speechless. Oh, wait, the politicians... okay, fair enough. 🤣

I hope you enjoyed the commute! Someone has to do it! It might as well be you, yes? I never stopped going to the market, there were fewer people touching my food when I got it myself and did the self-checkout. You haven't recovered yet?

That is simply out of order! Fix it!

Oh, you have no idea. At least a bajillion!!! Some days, more!

It has been a lovely day, fraught with rain in the end, but, I was busy at work, so it didn't matter Now, it needs to dry up and fly right!

Have a great evening!

#MarketFriday loves you!

After I walked away from leaving my comment, I decided the gods would probably not be happy if they only got those dirty politicians as a gift. hmmmffff

Our day started raining here, but by about 8:30 AM, the sun arrived and has been mostly out all of the day. I wasn't expecting that, so it was a nice development.

Ahhh... finally it's the weekend. The dishwasher has been loaded and I am about to go back and put some baby back ribs on to cook... the extra meaty kind of course. That will take a while, but it will be worth it later.

Great evening.... coming up !

Oh, yummy!! I just made a cauliflower-crusted pizza, my new favorite. Okay, it has been my favorite for a while now. The ribs sound like a much better option. I made some last week and the sauce was divine! It has so much sugar from the molasses and everything else, but, I use it sparingly.

It was raining all day, but, has since stopped and it is being pushed further north where it is expected to hang out in New England for two days or at least till Sunday. Better them than us! Well, that wasn't nice, but, I don't want a rainy weekend!

I'm not sure, but, I thought I heard the gods thank me. :)

I insist on a great evening!

Speaking of rain... the clouds just moved back in ! Oh well..... maybe they will be gone by morning.....one can only hope.

If it continues to rain here, I may have to make popcorn and take #MarketFriday to the media room. Sounds like a movie going on down there!

That sounds fun ! I got a new order of popcorn from Amazon yesterday and ate a whole bowl for supper last night. It was good too !

The rack of lamb looked so delicious and honestly I have not tried any just like the New Zealand lamb. I hope to try it when there is available menu in my country. I wonder how it taste, hehe.

By the way, here is my entry for this week's Market Friday:

https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@pinkchic/buying-fresh-fruits-at-s

Happy Market Friday dear Denise and happy shopping!

Thank you! I wonder if New Zealand lamb is available? It is not available everywhere here, it is imported from time to time, usually about the time they are downsizing the herd.

It tastes delicious, but, then again, I like lamb. :)

Thank you for dropping the link here! I hope you have an amazing weekend!

The Mayan civilisation - riddles and mysteries! If one wants to know something that stirs the imagination, all one has to do is read the wikipedia article about the Mayans.

Chichén Itzá, located in Yucatán, Mexico is interesting!!!
But Kite Day is glorious!!! I haven't been there on Kite Day. It must be so festive.

Chichén Itzá looks like very mysterious. Its history, culture and architecture are amazing; and I'd love to visit someday :) Stunning, the ship you cruised from its state-of-the-art accommodations to its world-class amenities was almost like a 5-star hotel ❤️ Surely, you had unforgettable trip :)

Here is my entry for #marketfriday, I did had a beautiful Sat last week walking the dogs and shopped at market in the St Albans :)

A bit of entertaining content, hope you enjoy reading it

https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@trangbaby/a-very-pleasant-day

Mayan history/culture is mysterious and interesting! I hope you do get to visit someday, it is something that I think you would appreciate very much. The ship is beautiful and I am super lucky to have been able to do that. I have to agree, to me they are like upscale hotels, although some are getting to big to have that kind of experience. It would bee hard to do it for 5,000 - 6,000 people at one time. I think that is why I like the smaller ships like this one.

Thank you for dropping the #MarketFriday link!!

Have a great day!

I remember 2012 was a thing about the Mayan calendar when we were supposed to drop dead.
No chance of that. We have to continue live. So, let's eat again.

I forgot about that!!!!! It was a thing they predicted. I'm starving! Let's eat!

Hi, Ace!

#MarketFriday loves you!

Haha. It maybe the singularity happens first.

I remember when I was a kid they had a kite festival at one of the universities in town. It was really cool to watch. I think we went so my dad could take pictures. That was back when he had his darkroom in the house. Beautiful shots!

Oh, yes! How fun!! I loved my dad's darkroom! We even got to take turns helping him wash the pictures. How fun to watch the magic!

Kite festivals are really a lot of fun, along with the hot air balloon festivals they have here too. Great for pictures, although I have only had two opportunities! The others coincided with work!

Of all the nerves!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your words!

We have a balloon festival near us each year too. They never get too close to us though. We are near a flight path for the major airport in this area.

We do too, but, I have to drive a few miles to the take-off place, but the views are better there. In the last few years, the clouds have been nonexistent and the pictures are kind of blah, but, maybe this year! :)

The bull run wine got me. I hope it'll come soon haha..

Amazing and so beautiful. I would ask the many Ghanaians to share their market experiences on this never-ending challenge. It's awesome as always and thanks to you @dswigle.

Thank you, @mcsamm!I have one that came already - so I need to say thanks and he even read it! That is awesome! I hope they have a good time with it and I am so amazed at all you do to improve the Ghana community!

the food on that cruise ship looked great!

It does look pretty good, doesn't it? It is always first class! I like the varied menu it carries!

Hi there @dswigly
This is so very amazing ! To think about how this pyramid was constructed with NO modern tools or knowledge gained from the University . How were the blocks relocated not to mention how were they cut with such precision that you cannot slide a sheet of paper between the blocks nor can you see one tiny little slice of light. Just amazing ! ! ! !

It is, isn't it? Mayan architecture is still studied with great interest, it is significant to historians as it is one of the things of Mayan life that can be studied. I can't even imagine it, but their structures of stone have survived a thousand years after the Mayans disappeared.

Imagine that. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words!

#MarketFriday loves you!

Hell there friend. It's crazy to think that we, today, in this modern time, that we cannot add up to what the Mayan culture has done. I live in south Texas. Here we have a lot of people of different cultures. A lot of the Indians from Mexico have said that the Mayans as well as the Aztecs didn't disappear. They assimilated into the Mexican culture in order to survive. Wonder if that's true ? Thanks for a great topic today.

I lived in San Antonio for a couple years. Small world. I am astounded that we are not capable of reproducing the architectural engineering, even with our tools! I havexalso read that they assimilated but there is no real proof, so they say.

Wow, it is a small world. Well I've actually talked with a few people that claim to be Aztecs or Mayan. ???? Who knows. But seems like that if they can trace people back to cavemen and further, then what's the problem with DNA to trace those so called lost tribes.

They are Mayas. The Maya today number about six million people, making them the largest single block of indigenous peoples north of Peru. Some of the largest Maya groups are found in Mexico, the most important of these being the Yucatecs (300,000), the Tzotzil (120,000), and the Tzeltal (80,000).

Figures from Google

I lived in San Antonio for a couple years. Small world. I am astounded that we are not capable of reproducing the architectural engineering, even with our tools! I havexalso read that they assimilated but there is no real proof, so they say.

I often say that nature doesn't end up surprising me whenever we meet again, but the same applies to the remains of history which are still standing in the 21st century. Wish we would have such columns and pyramids in Romania! But it's no less impressive discovering them online, thanks to people like you :)

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

What a nice comment! I find it amazing to see these architecturally sound civilizations still standing all this time later! The research is still ongoing, trying to get clues on their life and where they disappeared to.

They have an interesting way of ruling, their life could depend on how well they played a game. That is bone-chilling to me!

Romania has so much history and natural beauty. We are so fortunate to have traveled so much and taken in the sights.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words.

I haven't had a cruise ship experience yet, but I'm sure it would be enjoyable. Here's my entry for this week's #marketfriday.

I have been on a few and they are always a good time. I find that most experiences are fun, given the right time in my life and the person I am with!

imagine how great it is to attend such an event with kites! have you been there in mexico where are those ancient monuments? I read a lot about it, saw photos on the Internet, but we ourselves have never been there. Food is something that surrounds us every day. and it's always fun to photograph. have a nice weekend, dear! Tulips are amazing!!!
https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@tali72/old-arabic-market

Yes! Those are the pictures I took when I was in Chichen Itza, it is in Mexico, the Yucatan. I take all the pictures in my posts. You live in a country that has history on its side, an amazing place to be in. The Inca, Aztecs, and Mayans are on this side of the globe and have an interesting history with the way they built their civilizations. I have to wonder how this was achieved with no modern equipment in their possession?

Food is fun to photograph! Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment and dropping the link!

You truly deserve to be pandered and to enjoy lots of holiday now.💖💕
Who wouldn't love to see different colors and creativity flying out the sky.
Alot of people will definately participate because of the fun it involves and not just for rewards.

Is that a huge chunk of beef am seeing, that's surely a healthy plate, it makes any voyage fulfilled.

That is truly a magnificent ship
And anyone could get lost looking at that creation.

Thank you so much for all the blogging tip in between, at least so many hive newbies will learn how to post quality contents and market Friday post.

I went about sharing the price of merchandize in our store here as requested by fellow hivers wishing to compare these prices with those of others in their own part of the world.
https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@monica-ene/general-price-of-merchandise-in-my-neighborhood-knowing-your-budget-and-expenses-as-a-market-friday-experience

Thank you. What a beautiful comment you leave. I do love the kite festivals they have here with the winds of February and March. Always a good kite day somewhere in there. I have flown kites since childhood and I still enjoy it! There is no age restrictions on it! :)

The ships are always wonderful and anyone that goes knows what a special time it is. I never dreamed I would be sailing ships like that when I was growing up. They truly feed you well.

I hope that people were able to take something away with them on this post. That would make me feel good about it.

Yes, the price comparisons are sometimes requested and most give their prices of what they are buying, so yours is a little different and that is awesome. I must ask, do you bargain the price or is it a set price?

Amazing place and it's also on my dream list.

BTW, i thought I was late but if not then, here it is hehe https://peakd.com/hive-196308/@macchiata/market-friday--sinhs-a-traditional-laotian-skirt-at-the-night-market

I won't penalize you! XO

It really is an amazing location! The Yucatan in Mexico is stunning. Chichen Itza is one of the largest and best-preserved archaeological sites in the world - of the Mayan. You can no longer walk up the pyramid, a while back, two people were climbing it and one fell to her death. I hope you get to go one day.

Thank you for stopping by and dropping your link!

On my wish list for ages. Yucatan.

And here it is!

Just showed this to my son. And said, "This is real." I mean... we've been into Unchartered for ages. And Indiana Jones forever. But this... this is real!

Amazing 💥

Happy #marketfriday, beautiful

It is such an amazing trip that you never want to end. All of Central America! Mayan civilization occupied much of the northwestern part of the isthmus, from Chiapas and Yucatán, now part of southern Mexico, through Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, and El Salvador, and into Nicaragua. Although the Maya were the most advanced pre-Columbian civilization in the hemisphere, they were never unified.I ripped that off from Google.

It is very real and if you ever get there, you will never be sorry!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words.

Ah. So much history and so awesome. Thanks for all that amazing info. What a trip that must be. Jungles, temples and beaches too. So in!

Great adventure this week from you. Love you back #marketfriday

Different ways to do #MarketFriday for those that were having trouble... Go to any type of market, or anywhere where you pay money for a service. It can be a museum, a movie theatre, or an auction. Be creative! Perhaps that leaves it too open.

Thanks for posting to #MarketFriday. I appreciate the support.

Hi @dswigle

Here my entry.

https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@castri-ja/in-bad-weather-all-s?referral=castri-ja

An unexpected visit to the workshop for a bad wheel, which allowed me to avoid an accident due to a bad shock absorber on the other side of the car. At the same time, I was able to take advantage of the fact that the workshop was in a shopping mall to have lunch, look at stores and photograph material for Hive photo contests.

Regards.

Thank you for dropping your link!

Sometimes the unexpected is exactly what is needed to change the course of your day. See? You even got to the mall and had lunch and got some #MarketFriday shots!

Well done!

#MarketFriday loves you!

Exactly.
The unexpected is a path that leads us where we least expect it and the important thing is to make the most of each situation with optimism and joy.

I really like lamb, especially the photo of lamb that you share, it really looks so delicious that it makes me drool, it's really very appetizing lamb.

Here's my post for today's market friday

Do you eat lamb? Many people do not or have never had it. I usually only eat it a couple of times a year.

yes, I also ate the lamb, its meat is really delicious

A different market definitively but an amazing place and very interesting day!

Happy Friday! 🤗

@duvinca It is not really a market if you read it. It is showing people how to make a #MarketFriday post and all about those details. You might want to look through it once more.

Thank you for dropping by and for dropping your link.

#MarketFriday loves you!

Ah Yes I understood, different places and not just a market but some visit to other places could be also fine, a nice experience. Those places, the cruise, restaurant, etc. So all those places really might be part of a #MarketFriday experience @dswigle?

#MarketFriday can be anywhere almost! Go to any type of market, or anywhere where you pay money for a service. It can be a museum, a movie theatre, or an auction. Be creative!

It is fun to find places that are not typical of a market!

Ah ok ok 👍 got it! Different public places where there are services or business... well, more options then! Thanks!

Exactly! It makes it better with more options!

It surely is an amazing sight of varied colors and shapes of kites at the Blossom Kite Festival. Thank you for sharing.

It is not really about the Blossom Festival. If you read it once more, it is a post about doing a #MarketFriday post.

The city has a lot of ancient and gigantic buildings
Also, food is life. Nothing beats food and we cannot even be healthy without food

You may need to translate. This is not a post about a city.
