And it's very nearly here, Saturday 23rd September (That's this coming Saturday - to coincide with the Hive Fest event in Mexico) - anyone not attending Hive Fest is welcome to attend the Hive UK Meetup in Sunny (maybe) Yorkshire.
As per the past few years, the event is hosted at the warehouse of Pennine Tea and Coffee Ltd. 6-8 Hall Street, Halifax, HX1 5AY. Mainly because it makes it a free to attend event - which everyone can afford - although getting there is at your own cost.
And as per previous events, there will be free refreshments, including coffee of course, tea, hot chocolate, a selection of cold drinks and a cold buffet of sandwiches, savoury selection, cake and fruit.
I'm leaving what people want to do at the event up to them, so there is no schedule just turn up and chat about Hive, enjoy some food and I will do a coffee roast so everyone can take a bag of coffee home with them too.
Time is 10am to 4pm to fit in with my own schedule, once you locate the premises there is plenty of local parking around - limited free spots with a couple on the street limited to two hours, and paid parking. Getting in there is a doorbell on the brown doorway, it is a bit fickle and tends to send me notifications when it feels like rather then every time the button the bell is pressed - so also open the brown door which dings a bell in the warehouse and I'll head over and open the inner locked door. Or head to the big stainless steel roller shutter and press the bell to the left of that. You can also try grabbing me in Discord as a last resort.
There is plenty of space to hang out, and I will have tables and chairs set around for people to sit down and chat. If there are any Hive Fest live streams I will try and display them, and I can also go through my Hive Witnesses, Hive full API node and Hive Engine Witnesses.

The coffee is definately great, the warehouse dates back to the 1800's so it's got a lot of history going for it - get's very spooky upstairs in the dark!

I've got my attendance and train ticket booked and will be coming down from Edinburgh in the morning for my first ever meet-up ! I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone - thanks so much for organising it.
And you may find this hard to believe, but I know nothing about coffee. I never drank it for about 15-20 years, and only started drinking it again about 6 months - so I'm looking forward to having a proper cup for pretty much the first time ever !

Not far, just head straight up from the train station until you are cut off by buildings, head right to bull green roundabout, head straight over the roundabout and take a left on Lister Lane and then right near the top onto Hall Street. But let me know if you get stuck or need a lift.
