Hello fellow Hivians, I hope this post finds you in good spirits. I've got another favourite comment of the week to share with you guys, a comment or reply that I have come across on Hive in the course of the week.
I like to do this because some comments really do stand out from the rest, as I'm sure you know what I mean. The comment or reply could be one that has been made on my post or one that I have discovered on someone else's, it makes no difference.
I decided to embark on this little initiative seven weeks ago because during the week when I am out and about in Hive Town I come across some great comments that have either amused, impressed or inspired me in some way. Those are the kind of comments that deserve some extra attention.
It would be great to see you guys joining in with this initiative and help spread some love around the community.
So let's not delay a moment more, for this week's favourite comment I am giving the very highly coveted crown to @meesterboom for a comment he left on his own post. The post can be found here - https://peakd.com/life/@meesterboom/reacher.
For those of you who don't know @meesterboom he's a bit of a strange and clever chap. I discovered him a couple of months ago, not long after I joined Hive actually when I was out and about looking for decent content to engage with. And I came across one of @meesterboom's stories, he is an extremely adept storyteller. His dark humour combined with his intelligence coupled with his unique imagination is something quite powerful. Often, if not all the time, inspired by true events his stories never disappoint and will entertain in abundance. It's a pity we don't have more like him on Hive.
Anyway let me share with you what the comment is, take a look and you probably won't have a clue what's going on!
What a splendid comment indeed! Now, if you want further context and wish to understand what the hell he's talking about I suggest you read his latest short story, it does not disappoint and it will be time well spent. It's frickin grose, depressing and hilarious all in equal measure.
I am setting this post to payout a 15% beneficiary payment to @meesterboom.
And there really is nothing more to say other than that's it for another week. I hope you can appreciate the comment of the week as much as I do.
If you guys and girls would like to join in with my #favouritecommentfriday endeavour and shine a spotlight on another Hivian's comment or reply which may have impressed you, made you chuckle or perhaps made you think deeply about something you hadn't done before then why not publish your own post. If you do make sure you use the tag #favouritecommentfriday or #fcf.
So Hivians why not consider joining in the appreciation fest, show your gratitude to someone who wrote that extra special comment or reply and make them feel appreciated a little more.
Peace!
That's awfully kind of you to highlight my comment, thank you!
Yes, 'tis rather but you deserve it. By the way @snook has just re-established the Original Fiction group. I don't know if you are aware of them one but I'm sure they would appreciate your work if you are not familiar to them already.
I knew of them from the past I think. I never join any of these things as I like to think of myself as a maverick operating on the dark edges of the law... 😃
I never post in communities either. I never saw a good reason why. Plus if you do post to them you have to reblog it for it to show up for others on your own blog which I think is dumb cuz many forget.
and it's a new thing I made, but seeing PnM's comment, I was not as clear as I thought, so once I wake up, I will try and sort that all out.
Keep being you!
Cheers!!
I am exactly the same, I always felt if I posted in communities I might possibly pigeonhole myself a bit. Pod course the other thing I always hated the idea of was having to check the rules and there is the reblogging as you say to get it to appear in the feed like your regular posts!
YES!!!
but then I went to find some fiction to read and with not being here much over the last year.... I could not find any, so I decided to take an old community I had and change the name to original fiction because making a new community now costs HIVE!
I changed the rules to 1. Original fiction works only. 2. be human, and 3. Manners matter :D
I figured I can delete posts that do not fit into those rules loll
And it seems like you and I are the few who never liked posting in them :D but figured if others do I could find fiction to read easier if I made the community. It was as simple as that.
It's a very good idea because I remember there did seem to be a lot more fiction writers in the past. It is handy to be able to find it workout taking through the general muck 😃😃
I like your rules, especially the manners!
I just woke up and read this. It shows me I need to clarify a few things but I am not awake enough to do that yet.....but leaving this comment so I remember to come back here and do that. :D
Okay Dokay. I think I have all the links I needed and a few brain cells awake to try and sort this out here before I go fix my post.

The Ink Well
If you are a person that likes feedback or wants to work toward being Published as a writer, The Ink Well is where you would go. A lot of rules and an earnest but great group run by very nice people that I like.
Original Fiction
My Community.
A place to post your original fiction so it's easier to find in a sea of crypto posts and if you are not already using the other communities above.
I think this clears things up. God, I hope so. I am going to have to stop commenting before bed. LOLL
Lol! I don't think anyone could clarify anything more effectively than the very detailed clarification you have provided in this comment. Yes, it's clear. And thanks.
