I believe we all need to take responsibility for our own actions in life, which is why it is essential to DYOR and learn through experience who to trust enough to allow them into your inner circle. I believe your own article here is quite dialectical !LOLZ There is some decent discussion of ownership and responsibility for one's actions. I personally don't follow anyone's advice blindly. I review everything on its own merits although I do have my go to peeps that I trust to give me what they consider to be honest and good advice. For me, sense checking and considering carefully what people tell me before I simply jump in, ensures that I do not become easily complacent. I think this provides balance and leaves room for intellectual discussion, effective brainstorming, useful collaboration where it works, and even respectful disagreement when necessary.
