The maintenance is over. The update was smooth and everything should work as usual.
I explained what is the new option in the previous post. Basically, we are allowing the curation trails to vote on the comments too.
You can head over to the curation trails page and change the settings to allow voting on the comments.
There is no separate configuration for the comment voting so it's in the full control of the trial owner. They might want to vote with a lower weight on the comments compared to the posts.
I believe the new option can enable communities to reward good comments and encourage more engagement.
I might consider making hive.vote better with probably more options. But no promises.

Great update. Thanks for improving your services especially with rewarding.app not working I was missing having an curation trail for community comments. Now if you can add a vote que like rewarding.app has this would be the perfect replacement :)
Can you explain how does it work?
rewarding.app allows users to set vp restrictions at say 90% and will queue posts or comments from a trail to be voted on once vp reaches greater than 90% again.
So a trail I am following votes on a post but my vp setting is 90% and my current vp is at 89% hive.vote will ignore the vote while rewarding.app will vote on the post once vp increases to greater than 90%.
We have a big userbase and checking constantly for VP of them would bring down performance. I will think more about it. Thanks.

Hi and thank you for all that you do. I think someone added me to their downvote trail because since yesterday I made 3 kind of "thank you" comments as responce to my post and all got downvoted by one person.. Why would someone do something like this?

You can't do anything about the votes you receive. Up or down.
That downvote doesn't matter. It has almost 0 impacts on you. Don't worry about it.
Some bots might do that to get attention or confuse the new users.
