Hello welcome to steem 🐋👌🏻
Hey Lee! Welcome to Steemit! Thanks for sharing your intro post!
Welcome to steemit @leeforder I'm happy to see you joined this awesome platform. =)
How many cats do you have? I have actually 2 clingy and playful cats named Bacon and Oreo. =)
Only one. Poor Cece has no choice but to like me, because I'm her only friend, haha. I think all the time that I should probably get her a cat-companion one day. BUT I'm sure she enjoys the undivided attention she gets now, too.
I just checked out Bacon and Oreo now and it's instant cuteness overload! There aren't many things in this world I will openly declare love for, but siamese cats are one of them. An ex of mine had a siamese named Tobias, and I still miss that little bugger to this day. I bet Bacon and Oreo are super close now. Every pair of siamese I've ever known are inseparable!
Thanks for the warm welcome, and for giving me an excuse to talk about cats. =)
Welcome to Steem Community @leeforder! As a gentle reminder, please keep your master password safe. The best practise is to use your private posting key to login to Steemit when posting; and the private active key for wallet related transactions.

Hey, @leeforder, Welcome! I actually dig the stuff you posted on the crypto markets so it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you post more of that.
I spent my summers in the Thousand Islands and a few years some friends and I stayed in a cabin on an island run by the Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne. Great memories!
Anyway, welcome again, and what's up with the roll of toilet paper photo bomb? Actually, I see the answer to that below. Crap on!
Welcome aboard. Thoughts on Jordan Peterson?
Haven't read his book, but I've been watching his interviews and parts of his lectures. Definitely taking some good general life-lessons away from it--mostly in the area of avoiding being a useless manchild. Lol. :)
Beyond that, it's just nice to hear a rational and intelligent take on some of the insane ideological positions of the day. He has a nice way of summing things up, and alternating between eloquence and terseness to make his points stick.
I just recently came across the first position of his that I really can't support. The prescription of antidepressants came up in an interview, and he seemed concerningly devout about their merits. He even said (I'm paraphrasing) "much of my time spent with clients is months or years of convincing them to try an antidepressant". He also went on to make it sound like there are no risks, and everyone considering medicating should just try it for a month to see if it works.
I'm sure psychological meds are helpful for some people, but I also think their overuse is a major and understated problem in the west today. And I'm very skeptical about anyone minimizing their potential side effects. There's a lot of data out there suggesting a strong link between antidepressants and suicide; but I realize deconflating correlation from causation can be tricky.
Personally I think the combination of ADHD medication and antidepressants could be at least part of the reason we see more mass shootings these days. But I have no research to back that up.
What do you think would be a better (if that is the right word) way to treat depression if you were to go the non-medicated route?
Welcome @leeforder! I'm going start off by addressing the quiet clue you have placed in the lead picture to your post here. That is a roll of toilet paper floating next to your head n'est-ce que pas? You my friend are in the crapper (please say yes!), taking photos nontheless. And the reason for the thumbs up? I feel like you are fucking with us here, what's the deal bro, help me out! Did Cece put you up to this? I feel better now having addressed this, I'll move on.
I like your mining rig, very nice looking. At some point I'd like to do the same....ahhhhh, never enough time. What are you mining?
You'll love Steemit, it's a blast here! I'm quite new as well and still trying to get oriented. I write fiction @danielshortell, most of it is rubbish, but every now and then i get lucky. Stop by, say hello.
Alright, best of luck to you!
Bahaha, yeah. It's true. I was taking photos in the crapper. You deserve more than this 12 cent upvote.
Truth be told, the lighting in this house is horrible (not that I know enough about photography to understand lighting). And I photograph... very badly. Somehow, the desperate struggle between these two sinister forces ended with a bathroom photoshoot. Life is strange. :D
Right now the rig is on ETH. Pulling 22 MH/s out of this 1060 which I think is standard. But it looks like ZEC will actually be much more profitable than ETH when the 1070s arrive-- IF prices and difficulty remain similar to now. Of course in crypto it's probably ridiculous to assume things won't change quickly.
Thanks for the welcome. I really do appreciate it.
EDIT: I forgot to address the thumbs up. I think this was a method to hack my face-controling neurons into an almost pleasant state, distracting them from what would've certainly otherwise been a camera induced paralysis.
I knew it! I salute you sir, well played.
Well, since we're all being honest here, I simply grabbed a photo of myself from 20 years ago and plopped it up on my intro page. Now, nobody has reason to think I'm some tubby, middle aged pervy looking guy with a very unorthodox receding hairline. The internet is cool.
Yep, good god, never know what the prices are going to do nowadays. I guess just be ready to toggle back in forth between coins with the markets moves. Good luck!
EDIT (TO ADDRESS YOUR EDIT): Apathy is a motherfucker, anything that can be done to trick humans out of this lamentably natural state thereby spreading love and joy far and wide is good. You continue to earn my respect with these sort of thoughtful yet pragmatic mechanisms.
EDIT (unprovoked this time): The cat bot sure did rape the hell out of your comment area. I want to be bothered by it, but god damn, some pretty interesting stuff there....oh shit, did I just....
Welcome to steemit bro. But, ur reputasion 48. Hihihi. Just happy bro
Hope to see more of you, fantastic choice of words, welcome.
Welcome! Always good to see great intro posts. Even though I’ve been here for a few months, I’m still pretty new to crypto life and trading, looking forward to keeping up with you. Best of luck here!
Welcome to steemit dude.U must be fun at party.
Are you sarcasmemeing on me? Because it's true. I'm a nerd.
Welcome to steemit! I love your cat, i like your post thats why i will be aware of you!
Welcome mate! Glad to see your 2 feet in now!
I haven’t gotten to the point of risers yet, my privilege is less then yours lol 😝. I’m working on a tight budget but am glad to see another Canadian embracing crypto. We need to educate our fellow Canadians as I feel we as a people are a little behind the movement on this one.
What’s your coin and application of choice?
The risers seem to just be meant to let you use more cards than you could practically fit and power if you used the motherboard's built-in PCIE slots. So they act as PCIE slots on an extension cord, basically. There HAS to be more to it than that, but like you I'm just learning the details now.
Long term I'm an ETH hodler. But since I'm no whale yet (and won't be satisfied until I am), I take some extra risk trying to increase my limited coin count by shorting and also diversifying into promising alts. Current portfolio is made up of ETH, EOS, NEO, ADA, TRX, IOST, NAV, and my Steem wallet. But it's been a rough week to say the least! xD
Thanks for throwing my intro a comment. And thanks for the support on my first posts before this. I do appreciate it.
Nice to have familiar people around. It's starting to feel like a home! :D
lol my comment has been sitting here I forgot to hit post SMH I updated the % from steem.supply to be correct
We only have one way of growing here and it's through a collaborative effort. Unlike Youtube starting without a following their is no internal algorithm to push your content into trending it requires real people which is awsome but also a major down fall.
The other option is bots, which I explore and share my findings. I have started a Vlog dunno what to do it on most times but I'm picking subjects on my drive into work or just sharing my findings in how to format. I want to do everything but really finding your niche will come as you find what you don't like doing.... if its work you will get tired of it make it fun!
No thank you!
your in spot #12
One day we will collaborate on something I just know it!
welcome to steemit platform..
Welcome, unwashed human. I can see immediately that you will do well here under the guidance of Cece.
Welcome to steem
Hi Lee,
Nice to steemit-meet you. I am non-CIS. And I really liked the fact that you specified that you are CIS in your first sentence. The acknowledgement of this fact will make some people get into Google and look up what CIS actually means.
I am going to write essays on what I have in my head, since I am a copywriter and I write for 3 ICOs (I prepare white papers, social and forum activities, etc.).
I am planning to work only in the cryptocurrency/ies niches and don't plant to try and cover other things.
I think that just providing commentary on the points that I care about will be extremely useful for me since I think I need to write out around 250 000 words in crypto in order to get to the expert level.
Some of my posts are pretty bland and I am just regurgitating the thoughts of other people, my own thoughts. I don't think that they are very valuable. But I think that it's not feasible for anybody to expect that a copywriter can write out really valuable copy from the very start. You need to go through the immersion process.
So, maybe, you can also read articles and write about the stuff that resonates with you. This will help you get deeper into the crypto field. In 6-12 months you will get the skills that you need to write out good copy for ICOs and other projects.
I don't mean that your English is bad. It's extremely good. The point is that I am not a native speaker and I am sort trying to locate and smooth out the kinks in my flow yet. You don't seem to have any kinks at all.
So, maybe you can do some investigative journalism pieces. For instance, you can write a very big article on what Lightning is and how Steemit works.
I subscribed to you and would love to hear more from you.
I was wondering how me making light of the cis thing would come across. I'm glad to hear you weren't offended and found the positive way to look at it. I think with all the craziness going on surrounding related issues right now, the one thing everyone should agree on is that it's better to talk about it.
I've always wanted to get into proper writing. But I haven't ever pursued it. Life is so complicated, there is always something that needs to get done. I have to comment though that I'm extremely impressed with your command of language as a non-native English speaker, and can only imagine how difficult it would be for me to attain anything comparable in a non-english language.
Your thoughts on finding your groove here on Steemit definitely resonate with me. And I think being able to relate to you on these things is going to inspire me to keep going.
Thanks for reaching out to welcome and motivate me! I appreciate it and will be following you too to see how your journey goes.
Ok, great, Lee. I will following you too. Hope to see some good content. Say him to your Cat from me.
Thanks for the goods words about my English. You have a knack for writing. If you do blogging for 1 year, you might start getting really well-paying jobs. The idea (this is what I will be doing) is that you need to go deep into a particular niche. For me, it's fintech and ICOs in particular.
If you ever want somebody to listen to your thoughts about your strategy and stuff, feel free to text or call me in skype - live:saymynameseo. Just trying to hook up with crypto people here.
Great job @leeforder
Welcome to Steemit.
Let's work, and make a good post.
Welcome to STEEMIT ... I will start following you. I invite you to follow me, visit my blog and see my publications. the link of my last post https://steemit.com/venezuela/@kmejias/concurso-conociendo-a-venezuela-con-votovzla-paisajes-naturales-de-venezuela
One reason that kittens sleep so much is because a growth hormone is released only during sleep.
Then why do they sleep so much when they're cats? Unless they are growing in another direction...
Cats have 32 muscles that control the outer ear (compared to human's 6 muscles each). A cat can rotate its ears independently 180 degrees, and can turn in the direction of sound 10 times faster than those of the best watchdog.
Whoa, this got extremely biological, fast. Don't think for a second I won't be parading around the fact that I know all about the 32 muscles felines have hidden in their ears. I will make someone looks extremely stupid tomorrow (preferably right after church) for assuming that cats only have a couple muscles governing their ears. I plan to report back here in full details. Thanks @catfacts.
Cats are extremely sensitive to vibrations. Cats are said to detect earthquake tremors 10 or 15 minutes before humans can.
You can't stop the @catfacts once they start rolling. I've asked it multiple questions and only gotten crazier facts back in response.
I see, however, there is one question I've had for a while and clearly we have a cat expert on hand, so.. Alright catfacts, so like, the dog happily humps my leg, what's your deal? Why no leg humping? Not that I'm into that, but, ahhh, just answer the damn question.
Haha good luck. Cat may have lost interest, what else is new?
The first cat show was organized in 1871 in London. Cat shows later became a worldwide craze.
An adult lion's roar can be heard up to five miles (eight kilometers) away.
The cat appears to be the only domestic companion animal not mentioned in the Bible.
Cats have "nine lives" thanks to a flexible spine and powerful leg and back muscles
A cat sees about 6 times better than a human at night, and needs 1/6 the amount of of light that a human does - it has a layer of extra reflecting cells which absorb light.
nice post, no question, just a suggestion , you allow me follow you, HAHAHA
