Howdy from Texas, y'all! I look forward to meeting new people here on HIVE, making some friends and discovering your interests. As for me, I live in the forest, crafting a lifestyle, homesteading, and creating art.

I've been a natural artist all of my life. As soon as I was old enough to hold a crayon, I discovered a passion for art. It was enjoyable, it gained attention, and it pleased others. As an illustrator, painter, and designer, I create with the conscious intent of remaining true to those original childhood motivations. I make art just kuz it's fun. I create designs that say, "Look at me!" My art wants you to like it. My art wants to come home with you!

My formal training was at The University of Texas School of Fine Arts and School of Communication Design, but I've worked in a variety of art fields so I mostly attribute that to the organic and intentional style that developed. The subject matter is boundless, containing influences of fine art, graphic design, advertising, street art, character design, and children's illustration. It's typically defined by its bold appearance, rich colors, mixtures of raw and refined techniques, and often weirdly amusing visual content. I call it a blend of playful lowbrow and iconic decorative art.

I've been employed as an artist in areas of graphic design, marketing, illustration, cartooning, product design, and digital art. Currently, I'm an illustrator and designer for a publishing company that creates books and games for kids. However, I'm always selling my private art online, through social media, and at various local events and venues.
