RE: Hello, Hivers! I'm Bee... (Introduction)

Cheers, I'll try to look for you on Discord :-)

When it says on-chain, it means the Hive Blockchain. Peakd is another front-end of Hive, just like Hive.io. You know those third-party apps for Reddit on mobile that gives you a whole different UI, but still running Reddit underneath? That's pretty much what Peakd does for Hive.io, and I do love the general user-experience over here, with all its neat features and creature comforts compared to the more basic Hive.

On-Chain would mean that all of your artwork, or anything that you post on Hive in general, is recorded on the Hive Blockchain. Forever yours, and it belongs to you. One really cool site that I'd like to show to newcomers is HiveBlocks, which is where you can see the whole Blockchain in action. Here, everything (input, comments, replies, posts, up/downvotes, transactions) are publicly and transparently recorded, available for anyone's view.

I can even search for people's usernames, like yours (pics below) and see what's going on with your account. Every action that involves your account, whether you or others are interacting with it, can be viewed and verified. You can even see some stats related to your Hive user-account as well. Ah, the awesomeness of the Blockchain... I hope this all helps :-)

Cool, thanks a lot for that breakdown. I'm beginning to understand a bit more how it works. That was pretty helpful and that's a really nice explorer/tool ... HiveBlocks. 😎

You're welcome! I hope you've been able to put this to good use :-)

100%, Zack! I'm working on my first infographic (basic blockchain stats) for now and will share with the community once I'm done. Then I will try to highlight other aspects of the Hive Ecosystem! Cheers man. I gotta load up on some HIVE so I can tip as well, I haven't even purchased any yet.

That's brilliant to hear! I'm hoping to read it soon, mate. There's quite a few exchanges now that support $HIVE, so loading up on it should be easy, though mind the deposit process. But, it's not necessary, and once you start earning more from posts and curations, you'll begin to have enough balance in your account for tips aplenty :-)
