It's been a crazy 2 months.
Recently @blockbrothers (a developers group I'm part of) launched Steemify and our witness is now up and running.
With that out of the way, I finally have more time to check out other cool projects on the Steem blockchain.
Busy.org 2.0 has been on my list for a while.
It's awesome.
For newcomers let me quickly explain.
When I talk about the Steem blockchain it's not the same as the website Steemit.com.
The blockchain is where all the data is stored and the website Steemit.com shows that data in a nice graphical form.
The blockchain is public so anyone can tap into the data and display it in the way they want.
Busy.org is another website that displays the data of the blockchain in another way.
And it looks very good.
The team behind busy.org is constantly adding new features to the site. Some features Steemit.com does not even have.
Like the new Activity page where it's possible to filter all kinds of cool data from your account.
Here you can see my latest power-ups. A finance filter.
The whole website is translated into a lot of languages as you can see here.
Busy.org does not charge any fees for your rewards when u use their frontend.
When you use busy.org you will also realize how powerful a blockchain is. Even if Steemit.com would disappear it's still possible to access data through this frontend.
And busy.org is not the only one!
I talk about it more in my vlog.
I have recently become a witness with our developer group blockbrothers for the Steem blockchain. If you want to support us I would appreciate your vote here.
This is so cool. You've helped me clarify the relationship between busy.org and steemit.com. I was always thinking busy.org is another form of streemian.com where your post is being made on your behalf.
It's glad to know busy.org 2.0 is out.
The interface looks really good.
I also use the platform beta.chainbb.com for my posting, replying and commenting. It's more like a mobile friendly approach to commenting on the steem block chain, added to the fact that you get an automatic $0.02 upvote added to any posts you make from the beta.chainbb.com site.
Thanks so much for these information, they helped somuch. I appreciate
Hi
Hello how are you
also if you post through busy and use its tag then your receive upvote from their bot up to 10$ . For example you received busy.org
29%
≈ 3.92$ , and if you will have more power in followers ( more steem power if we calculate all power of your followers) then you will receive more, i think its amazing !
It will be exciting to see which front end will be the best in a couple of years :)
As of now busy is the best front-end
Improving on day to day basis.
I liked your comparison of two services. Busy.org sounds little bit difficult to use for me but anyway i will try:)
I would like to ask you : you can post the same article on both sites or you should create different ones?
If you post on Steemit it also displays on busy.org and vice versa.
Ohh i see.. Thanks for explaining, i need to check and find out how it works then:))
@exyle The more I read your posts the more I learn about tech stuff that I had no idea about that is related to STEEMIT. I know in my Heart we are in the right place at the exact point in time. What a Wonderful Time to be Alive !
It is!
Nice post my friend, i agree with your thoughts busy.org is a fantastic frontend and it has lot's of cool features that not exist in steemit.com the one of the coolest feature is that once we login to our account through busy.org at the right side of the page we can able to see our interesting following and that's pretty cool feature as well and it tell us that how many huge stake holders are following us and i like busy.org layout it reminds me a facebook style and it is also so easy to use, i also like busy.org bot functionality and yes it's nice way to attract new users, wishing you all the best for witness node my friend and have a fantastic week ahead, Stay awesome
Thanks for the support!
The great news and the fact that With added new features it says about moving forward on the site and in our ecosystem as a whole. The more opportunities, the better for all of us! Thank you for informing us @exyle
Well done @blockbrothers and @exyle, you guys are really doing great, by creating steemify app to support steemit.
I really like how you explain about does website on how they work. I have learn a lot from your blog.
Thanks mark for your good work!!.
thank you, man!
Excellent, excellent explanation. You've broken down these different concepts so we laymen can easily understand.
Mehn, thank God someone is appreciating the effort the developers of busy.org have put in. @exyle you've done a good job. That site is really awesome. I use and it's lovely.
The features are just mind blowing. From embedded dtube YouTube and soundcloud videos into your feed, to side bar widget showing recommended posts, to translation in 40 languages, etc. This site is just so Kool. There are so much more this site offers, you can check them out at the busy.org public beta post at
https://steemkr.com/busy/@busy.org/busy-v2-is-now-in-public-beta
Have a lovely experience
This is great. Thanks for the clarification. It helps clear up the confusion I had about all of these different facts.
For me, the best part of the site is the fact that it gives some upvotes to those who post on the site. This is really helpful to newbies coming in, and who post awesome and original content, and need some level of encouragement.
To get this,
Post using busy.org (works on both version: v1 and the new beta), Use the tag "busy"( It doesn't have to be the primary one)
The bot upvotes maximum 1 time every 12 hours per user.(2 upvotes per day)
Thanks @exyle for these information. They are really helpful on our steemit journey.
Thank you @exyle. Good one i must say. i see you took screenshots for proper explanation. Thanks for that.
It definitely looks a lot nicer that v1. I will have to check this out when I get home since i am busy at work now. One thing that looks really nice is seeing what percentage people upvoted at and how much it is worth. I have wanted to feature for awhile!
Frankly, Busy.org interface is light-years ahead of Steemit.com, right now.
I'm thankful for Busy.org 2.0, looks like I'll be around here a lot more.
Wow great job friend, @blockbrothers will be rocking in near future. I want to be a part of it if you don't mind. I have not still go through the busy.org.thanks for sharing such a valuable information. Wish you a very beautiful time ahead.
Thanks again for recommending taking profits when you did. I admire your trading style.
Thank you!
Thanks for the information. I had no idea there was a difference between steem blockchain and steemit.com
Also I noticed the update you made to the witness voting message under your logo, that GIF really makes things easier, removing all the challenges we had when voting from your last post.
I use the new version of busy.org,and it's really awesome. I love the quality of the site, it really brings out the beauty of the content of the blockchain. The features are just somuch and so awesome. You get to do somuch in just one site.
My best part is that I get to watch my dtube videos on my feed, not having to open the post itself. I really love that feature. It saves me the stress of opening a post to see what the video contains.
It's a really lovely site. And thanks for writing a post on it.
I couldnt agree more busy.org 2.0 looks smarter. i've been exploring it for some time now. i like that it has bookmarks. i used to resteem a post just to somehow bookmark a post. good thing that busy.org has this feature. also, i tried creating a draft. i no longer need to re-check the markdown guidelines since the base functionalities are made easier, on buttons. there's so much feature to love.
i prefer that the user info should be place on the banner/header though just to highlight the user data. also i think I'll be writing my posts in Steemit and then heading over to Busy to interact with others and do my commenting.
overall, i like its intuitive user interface and functionality. looking forward for more improvements and features.
Thanks @exyle for this wonderful explanation, it really helped a lot. This new version looks really awesome. I checked the link given by @michael11, and I like the way it looks somuch.
But I have a little question please.
Should I login with my Active Key?From their post, I know busy.org are using steemconnect, but Is it safe giving my active key safe?
Thanks for reading my comment @blessing2002, and am glad the link was of help.
Okay to answer your question, It looks like it's safe, since Steemconnect was a joint colaboration, developed by both teams of Steemit.com and Busy.org. And also, I've been using busy.org for sometime now, and I have not had any issues with my account.
They've proven to be reliable. But I can only say this for busy.org. Make sure to confirm carefully especially from other steemians you trust before releasing your active key to anybody.
Have a lovely day
Thanks a lot, this was really of tremendous help. I feel better now releasing my active key, but like you said, I'll surely make enquiries before doing so for other sites.
Thanks a lot, youve been of help
My pleasure, just watching a fellow steemians back. We are family here
Atm, there is no other way. I'm not a big fan of using my active key either but I don't hold much liquid steem atm so I decided to go for it.
Not holding much liquid steem is surely a safety measure.
Another one will be to transfer your SBD to your savings account, since it takes 3days before it can be withdrawn, and that gives you time to notice the scam, and make necessary actions.
Another safety measure would be to power up your steem or steem dollars, since it takes 3months to power down, hence protecting you from scam activities.
Wow! If I ever needed an example of Steemit having competition coming up the ranks, Busy v2 is it.
Yeah the private messaging is a game changer for sure.
Not tried to create a post as yet, only had a quick fiddle with the text.
But I did import a pic from my hard drive instead of having to link it a facebook album. This is also a huge step forward in my opinion.
I like this 2.0 bcos it the the platform you can get enough information about almost everything than on steemit.com. With busy 2.0 there’s no need to go to different steem blockchain platforms like steemd.com to check a user current steem power percentage, or the voting percentage a user uses to upvote a particular post. Everything Is provided on the busy platform.
Thanks once again @exyle. I really love busy 2.0. I cant stop talking about it.
I am not active on steemit.chat because i find it difficult using two necessary platforms on two different platforms. What i mean is that both steemit.chat and steemit.com were suppose to be built together on one platform. They are separate and that makes it difficult to use them both. Busy makes this possible and it's interesting because i have been getting personal with some of my steemit friends on steemit.chat than i use to before now.
congratulation bro i really appreciate your effort best of luck n have nice other crazy days.
@exyle,
Hope one day you are your team will bring more powerful platform that Utopian and Busy.org! I feel your team got that ability to do!
Cheers~
Very well explained thank you. I also found your interview with Terry yesterday on youtube. It was good to know you better and thank you for sharing :)
That's cool. I liked doing that interview, it was fun!
Yes it was nice and very helpful. Have a nice day :)
Wow. Didnt know there was a new version. I want to know if the dislike button is still anonymous,
meaning that if someone dislikes your post, thereby reducing your rewards, you cannot tell who did it. This will help me use the new version properly. I must say, great interface there. It looks really fascinating. Thanks for bringing this to my knowledge.
Thank you @exyle for the update on the 2.0
It sure is a must try.
@georgechuks, Disliking a post is not anonymous. You can see it by clicking on Dislike button. Have a great one
.When you click on 'likes' you can see the list of all users who liked the post, you can even see the weight of their votes. If you scroll all the way down to this list you will see the users who disliked. I'm not sure if that exactly answers your question.
Who doesnt love busy.org
I cannot cope on a social network without private messaging. Busy has it. Steemchat need to work on that. Busy also has a public messaging chat board, too. This helps newbies get their questions answered when they first join. That is a good factor i consider. The interface has great icons and i really love it.
Thanks a lot @exyle for this information. I never knew the difference between the steem block chain, steemit.com, and busy.org.Now am well informed. Thanks
I use busy.org alot, and I'll just like to add just 1 little thing to the wonderful things you've said about busy.org.
Busy.org also offers an open-source and secure social network layer to bootstrap any Apps (like Facebook Apps does, or WeChat services), games, community tools, marketplaces for good or services, using Steem.js API, SteemConnect and the Busy.org 'framework.'
So it's not only about posting and commenting, but also making your social media experience, and gaming experience much more fun.
Thanks @exyle for the update. I really like your review of how it has been going.
I really appreciate all your explanation. I still love the flexibility there. I have to agree with @princesson on the private messaging.
These private and public messaging chat functions are like the food we have been missing. It allows us to get our issues resolved instantly without having to go anywhere else online. Glad i am a member . I must say that the new look is dope. Cute icons. It is sure makes it easy just like steemify.
Awesome. Thanks @exyle for this wonderful explanation and clarification. You saved us hours we would have spent searching Google for these differences.
I use busy.org v2, and those developers have done a really superb work. It's really awesome, from the drag and drop image option, to seeing the current price of steem next to your balance and wallet, etc. It's really a wonder. but there are still some stuffs which needs to be looked into, like not able to delete a post or a comment, or edit your profile. Apart from these, busy.org is a must try for all steemians.
I have tried logging into busy.org before, it didn't work. When you log into busy.org, what are you supposed to see?
Steemconnect
very nice blog... i guess it will not take that long to pass me in the witness list.. but you deserve it.. I hope I can be of any help once for this dutch team someday
Thank you so much!. You are doing great as a witness! 45 is impressive!
Thx I will keep doing my best and prove that I keep continue for this great blockchain. As relative newcomer I am happy what I achieved
Great update i must say @exyle.
You really explained it all. Didnt know the distinction earlier. I love this alternative interface to Steemit.com. Really lovely and easy.
There is no downvote button, would really like that just incase i dont just like a content. It breeds productivity and alerts people posting to know how much people love and at same time dislike their post.
Its so easy to read all your Replies. Bookmark your favorite contents.
You all should check it out
A wonderful and well broken down explanation @exyle. This is really Kool. You know this new busy.org version 2 is a very lovely site. It makes your steeming experience really worth while.
You know all these sites and apps like steemify and busy.org are not in competition with each other, but rather they complement each other. There are stuffs that busy.org can't do, and steemify can do that, for example busy.org does not give notifications, and steemify does this so well, bringing it to your notification bar. Busy.org can help you make posts and send to the steem blockchain, but steemify can't do that. So these all complement eachother, with the final aim of making the steemit community a better and more efficient place.
Thanks guys for all your effort towards this community. We appreciate
Nice one @exyle. You broke it down well.
How can I redeem rewards in my wallet on busy.org? could not find that. I don't know if i missed that. Will be glad if you have found that. I have checked, but to no avail.
Interesting question i must say, i had same. But going to the feed/home You have a link on your left side that says wallet and will bring you to your steemit wallet straight away where You can do that.
Good to know you are a witness now!
cheers bro have a nice days best of luck .
Thats a great sharing ,thanks for very good writing
very nice writing bro.keep it up
Yes for sure that has been some crazy months for you ^^
Congratulation!
Kool @liftu. I was reading all the comments here, and I got to yours, and decided to make a little statement. The post is not about the crazy two months, but about the new version of busy.org.If you read the post again, you'll see some awesome things busy.org 2.0 has to offer, and I know these stuffs will surely make your steeming experience much better and much fun.
Have a lovely experience. All the best
Yes don't worry, I know what the article is about. But my comment was just about his first phrase, because since I joined the site, I always see him in the top of the site or references to him.
Have a nice day.
Oh, wonderful then. The main thing is that you were impacted by the post, and thats what truly matters.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, it was truly appreciated.
Congratulations on what specifically?
If you read through @exyle post, you would have enjoyed the post and probably wanted to try out the busy.org 2.0(doubt you even cared about).
It wont take more than a minute from you to read the quality content others have. And i see you are still a minnow(i dont blame you though). The more time you spend on steemit, tthe more you will love it and tend to appreciate peoples content. Have a nice day my friend.
What is going on here?
Are you blaming me just because my comment was not about the full article?
The congratulation was about the launch of Steemify.
And yes, I have enjoyed his post, that made me discover busy.org by the way.
Have a nice day.
Glad you discovered busy.org. That was the aim. We are on the same page here.
Have a nice day
Thanks for giving the chance to enjoy this beautiful news!!
Best of luck to your team and seems like busy.org is indeed pretty good !
Interesting projects!
Upvoted and resteemed. Do you want to know why? Visit @pf-coin.
Thank you very much, finally, I understood the difference between Steem and Steemit.com
For the some other cool exciting features that steemit does not have. I will give busy.org a sure try.
blockbrothers is my new witness!!
Do a good job and help the community move in the correct way :)
good work
Thanks for giving the chance to enjoy this beautiful news!!
Thank you very much, you've talked about a very important thing. I've seen your video full and I liked it very much
so busy has gone a long way too wow i not use it that frequently but looks pretty awesome from the first impressions great to see
as a newbie still trying to learn a lot about steemit ecosphere thanks for highlighting this thing
With together and team efforts you will achieve a lot for this platform my best wishes
busy front end is good but still the steemit UI is better
