16 years ago, Tuesday, September 11, 2001 was a very traumatic event for most of us. On that morning the USA got attacked. The attacks killed 2,997 people, injured over 6,000 others, and caused at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage.
Investigating 911
I've investigated 911 for 200+ hours. This post is about giving an honest picture of why some people claim to have proofs the NIST report on the collapse of the WTC complex structures contain fundamental flaws, hiding some crucial facts about 911.
It is about providing some of those proofs, making them as clear as possible, providing some links to peer-reviewed studies on the subject, giving the subject some visibility and an opportunity for people to weigh in.
I've been wanting to write a comprehensive thing on 911 for many years now. It's not all encompassing but it's a start.
Lost Lives
Many innocent lost their life directly or indirectly due to 911. This event is a real tragedy no matter who were responsible.
People Who Lost Some Close Relative On 911
Many 9/11 survivors and many 9/11 victim family members have expressed significant criticism of the 9/11 Commission Report. Several even allege government complicity in the terrible acts of 9/11. [1][2][3]
9/11 Commission
"The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, also known as the 9/11 Commission, was set up on November 27, 2002, "to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11 attacks", including preparedness for and the immediate response to the attacks. The commission was also mandated to provide recommendations designed to guard against future attacks." [Wikipedia]
9/11 Commission Set Up To Fail
According to the 2 co-chairs of the Commission, the Commission was set up to fail.
"The two co-chairs of the Commission, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, believe that the government established the Commission in a way that ensured that it would fail. In their book Without Precedent: The Inside Story of the 9/11 Commission describing their experience serving, Hamilton listed a number of reasons for reaching this conclusion, including: the late establishment of the Commission and the very short deadline imposed on its work; the insufficient funds (3 million dollars), initially allocated for conducting such an extensive investigation (later the Commission requested additional funds but received only a fraction of the funds requested and the chairs still felt hamstrung); the many politicians who opposed the establishment of the Commission; the continuing resistance and opposition to the work of the Commission by many politicians, particularly those who did not wish to be blamed for any of what happened; the deception of the Commission by various key government agencies, including the Department of Defense, NORAD and the FAA; and, the denial of access by various agencies to documents and witnesses. 9/11 Family Steering Committee
"The 9/11 Family Steering Committee was an organization of twelve relatives of victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Members of the Committee included the Jersey Girls. It was part of the 9/11 Truth Movement and was set up to monitor the work of the 9/11 Commission."
According to the Washington Post and 2 senators, Joseph I. Lieberman and Susan Collins, it's family members' public complaints that pressured President Bush to drop his initial opposition to a Sept. 11 commission. [Wikipedia]
The 9/11 Family Steering Committee ended up being dissatisfied with the commission created and madate. More can be read about some of their complaints here.
Some Polls On 911
First I want to begin with some of the polls that has been done regarding where people stand on 911. Below, I quoted Wikipedia about one of this poll. Many more of these kind of poll can be found on this wikipedia page.
Yougov Poll
One of them carried out by the company yougov in 2012 finds most Americans open to alternative 9/11 theories. Reports on the poll can be found here and here and the actual poll can be found here.
World Public Opinion Poll
"A poll taken by WorldPublicOpinion.org, a collaborative project of research centers in various countries managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, College Park, polled 16,063 people in 17 nations outside of the United States during the summer of 2008. They found that majorities in only 9 of the 17 countries believe al-Qaeda carried out the attacks."
"46 percent of those surveyed said al-Qaeda was responsible, 15 percent said the U.S. government, 7 percent said Israel and 7 percent said some other perpetrator. One in four people said they did not know who was behind the attacks."
"The summary of the poll noted that "Though people with greater education generally have greater exposure to news, those with greater education are only slightly more likely to attribute 9/11 to al Qaeda." Steven Kull, director of WorldPublicOpinion.org, commented "It does not appear that these beliefs can simply be attributed to a lack of exposure to information." Of those who said the United States was the perpetrator, Kull says many believe it was an attempt to justify an impending U.S. invasion of Iraq."
The NIST Report
"After the FEMA report had been published, and following pressure from technical experts, industry leaders and families of victims, the Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) conducted a three-year, $16 million investigation into the structural failure and progressive collapse of several WTC complex structures."
"The scope of the NIST investigation was focused on identifying "the sequence of events" that triggered the collapse, and did not include detailed analysis of the collapse mechanism itself (after the point at which events made the collapse inevitable)." [Wikipedia]
Peer-Reviewed Studies On 911
The link below list 22 peer reviewed studies with links. The authored are qualified scientists, including PhD graduates from Harvard, Cambridge, and Cal Tech published in Peer Reviewed Independent Scientific Journals (PRISJs) including 10 engineering related journals. It's over 500 pages of peer reviewed papers.
Many People Doubt The Official Story
Many hundreds of people doubt the official story, among them 1500+ verified architects and engineers who have investigated the WTC collapse have sign a petition to have 9/11 investigation be re-opened and include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that may have been the actual cause behind the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers and WTC Building 7.

9/11 Control Demolition In Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journal
Published by the peer-reviewed journal Europhysics News, the study entitled: "15 Years Later: On the Physics of High-rise Building Collapses" concluded that the evidence points overwhelmingly to controlled demolition as the real cause of the building destruction, the Twin Towers and WTC 7.
Explosive Material Found In WTC Dust
In a study published in the Bentham Open Chemistry and Physics Journal, authors concluded: "Based on these observations, we conclude that the red layer of the red/gray chips we have discovered in the WTC dust is active, unreacted thermitic material, incorporating nanotechnology, and is a highly energetic pyrotechnic or explosive material."
The dust contained some iron spheres having some specefic characteristics which could have only been attained by temperature much higher than the fire from the kerosene from the planes or office fires of the WTC complexe.
Testimonies Of Secondary Explosions
Many secondary explosions have been heard and felt during the event. There are also recording of some of those explosions. There exists many reports of those explosions on live TV by journalists. NIST Didn't Investigated For Explosives
According to NIST there was no evidences for explosives so they excluded explosives from any of their investigations. The rational of NIST is explained and refuted in the video above by David Chandler, retired physics teacher.
Molten Steel
There are testimonies of people who have witnessed molten steel days after the collapse of the towers. Some of those testimonies come from the rescue workers in charge of cleaning up the after math of 911. Some of those testimonies have been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Note: to melt steel necessitate much higher temperature than what fires from kerosene or office building can achieve and thus those molten steel can't be explained by the NIST report which state there was no explosives or more precisely didn't look to see if there was any explosives.
Video Evidences From The Collapse
The video above explain many aspects of the collapse that cannot be explained by a gravity lead collapse.
- Large multi ton beams were hurled laterally.
- Lateral ejection of free-flying heavy steel sections up to 70 miles per hour not congruent with gravity lead collapse.
- Explosive squibs at 100+ miles an hour.

World Trade Center Twin Towers: Constant Acceleration
Rigging The Towers With Explosives
According to many experts it seems it would have been possilbe to rigged the towers with explosives even as those were still occoppied and in use. The section below is copied for an article that can be found here.
- The Twin Towers had been evacuated a number of times in the weeks preceding 9/11
- There was a power down in the Twin Towers on the weekend before 9/11, security cameras were shut down, and many workers ran around busily doing things unobserved (confirmed here)
- A tenant of the World Trade Center hired a "sprinkler repairman" shortly before 9/11, and gave him access to 6 underground levels at World Trade Center building 1
- A Bush-linked company ran security at the trade centers, thus giving it free reign to the buildings
Accessing The Core Columns
The chief electrical engineer who wired the World Trade Centers (Richard Humenn) says that people working on the elevators could have planted explosives: Video.
Mechanical engineer Gordon Ross, in his talk on the destruction of the Twin Towers, pointed out that:
"Those [core] columns which were situated adjacent to and accessible from inside the elevator shafts failed at an early stage of the collapse. Those columns which were remote from the elevator shafts, and not accessible from the elevator shafts, survived the early stages of the collapse."
Demolition Expert Weigh In On The Subject
Tom Sullivan demolition expert explain how this rigging could have been done and why he knew from day one that 911 was a control demolition event. I've also read the company working on the elevators would have had direct access to the perimeter columns. If I remember correctly these accesses would have been through space between each floors and ceilings. According to Mr Sullivan access to perimeter columns were unnecessary.
"Indeed, a top demolition expert says that with access to the elevator shaft, a team of loading experts would have access to the columns and beams."
"According to USA Today: "On Sept. 11, ACE Elevator of Palisades Park, N.J., had 80 elevator mechanics inside the World Trade Center". And the U.S. government agency (the National Institute of Standards and Technology) itself says that, on 9/11, "Elevators 6A and 7A were out of service for modernization". (NIST NCSTAR 1-8, p.97). In addition, Ace worked in and around structural steel at the Twin Towers."
911 Terror Drills
Bush lied when he said no one of his administration could have envisioned hijacking planes and using them as missiles as reported by ABC and USA Today. Some of the targets of previous military drills were the WTC and the Pentagon.

Building 7 (WTC 7)
WTC 7 or building 7 was a 47 story building part of the WTC complex.
"On September 11, 2001, 7 WTC was damaged by debris when the nearby North Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. The debris also ignited fires, which continued to burn throughout the afternoon on lower floors of the building. The building's internal fire suppression system lacked water pressure to fight the fires, and the building collapsed completely at 5:21:10 pm, according to FEMA, while the 2008 NIST study placed the final collapse time at 5:20:52 pm." NIST Report On WTC 7
In the NIST report it is stated that WTC 7 fell at free fall speed for some time. Free fall speed collapse isn't explanable by anything other than controlled demolition. The 3 minutes video above explain all of this very well.
Mike West of metabunk.org try to explain this free fall speed. Mike West is not using the scientific method. His demonstration doesn't explain the free fall speed the NIST reported.
WTC Owner On WTC 7 Collapse
Larry Silverstein was the owner of the WTC complexe. The quote below is from an excerpt from a PBS interview.
"I said, "We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it." And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse." - Larry Silverstein
In 2005, Dara McQuillan, the spokesperson for Silverstein Properties, gave the following explanation for Silverstein's remarks:
"However, according to Fox News journalist Jeffrey Scott Shapiro, a 9/11 eyewitness and ardent defender of the official 9/11 story, Larry Silverstein had controlled demolition on his mind on September 11, 2001, and it was no secret to the NYPD and others on the ground that day."
"Later in the day, the Fire Commander ordered his firefighters out of the building and at 5:20 p.m. the building collapsed. No lives were lost at Seven World Trade Center on September 11, 2001."
"This statement contradicts the FEMA report on WTC7 (Chapter 5, section 5.6.1), which indicates that no manual firefighting actions were taken at WTC7 on 9/11." [Source And More Details]
What is the truth on this has no bearing on the evidences already presented but I felt those trivia were interesting enough to be included.
BBC And CNN Reports WTC 7 Collapsed Before it Happens
It was not explain why Reuters incorrectly reported WTC 7 had collapse before it had.
"On 11 September 2001 Reuters incorrectly reported that one of the buildings at the New York World Trade Center, 7WTC, had collapsed before it actually did. The report was picked up from a local news story and was withdrawn as soon as it emerged that the building had not fallen." [BBC]
Emergency Workers Announcing WTC 7 About To Blown Up
Danny Jowenko on WTC 7 controlled demolition
Danny Jowenko was a Dutch expert in controlled demolition who testified that WTC7 collapse could only be due to controlled demolition. He had never heard about WTC 7 before seeing the video of the WTC 7 collapse. He only learned about the fact that the video he was seeing was filmed on 911 and was from a third tower that fell that day in New York City after answering if the video he was shown was showing a control demolition or a collapse due to fire. His reaction is priceless. [Mr Jowenko later re-confirmed his stance on the matter.]
Insiders Knowledge Shown By Abnormal Trading Activities in Option Markets
At least 3 peer-reviewed papers have concluded there was evidence of unusual option market activity in the days leading up to September 11 that is consistent with investors trading on advance knowledge of the attacks.

Larry Made A Lot Of Money From The Attacks
"In January 2001, Silverstein, via Silverstein Properties and Westfield America, made a $3.2 billion bid for the lease to the World Trade Center.[16] Silverstein was outbid by $30 million by Vornado Realty, with Boston Properties and Brookfield Properties also competing for the lease. However, Vornado withdrew and Silverstein's bid for the lease to the World Trade Center was accepted on July 24, 2001.[17] This was the first time in the building's 31-year history that the complex had changed management."
"The insurance policies for World Trade Center buildings 1 WTC, 2 WTC, 4 WTC and 5 WTC had a collective face amount of $3.55 billion. Following the September 11, 2001, attacks, Silverstein sought to collect double the face amount (~$7.1 billion) on the basis that the two separate airplane strikes into two separate buildings constituted two occurrences within the meaning of the policies." This is not a proof of guilt by any measure but some very interesting facts nonetheless.
WTC Insurance Payout Totals $4.55 Billion (1+ billion $ in profit.)
Bush Impossible Account Of 911
Bush said on CNN that he saw the first plane hit the first WTC tower on 911 before being informed the second plane hit the second tower. His account of the event is impossible. Footage of the first plane hitting the WTC was not shown on TV prior to September 12.
911 Timeline
These detail accounts of some of the early event shows some failure in the protocols followed that day or lies about what happened.
NORAD Learns About A Plane Being Hijacked
NORAD first learned about a plane being hijacked at 08:37. [Wikipedia]
"8:46: Two F-15 fighter jets are ordered to scramble from Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts, intended to intercept Flight 11. Because Flight 11's transponder is off, the pilots do not know the location of their target. NEADS spends the next several minutes watching their radar screens in anticipation of Flight 11 returning a radar contact."
The First Plane Crashs Into WTC
"8:46:40: Flight 11 crashes at roughly 466 mph (790 km/h or 219 m/s or 425 knots) into the north face of the North Tower (1 WTC) of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99."
Bush Arrives At The School
"8:55: President George W. Bush arrives at Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida, as part of a scheduled visit to promote education when White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card, who is with Bush, informs him that a small twin-engine plane has crashed into the World Trade Center. Before entering the classroom, the President speaks to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, who is at the White House. She first tells him it was a twin-engine aircraft—and then a commercial aircraft—that had struck the World Trade Center, adding "that’s all we know right now, Mr. President." [NORAD knew about planes being hijacked for at least 7 minutes already.]

"9:05: After brief introductions to the Booker elementary students, President Bush is about to begin reading The Pet Goat with the students when Chief of Staff Andrew Card interrupts to whisper to the president, "A second plane has hit the second tower. America is under attack." The president stated later that he decided to continue the lesson rather than alarm the students."
Bush Is Brief On The Situation
"9:14: President Bush returns to a holding room commandeered by the Secret Service shortly before 9:15. The holding room contains a telephone, a television showing the news coverage, and several senior staff members. The president speaks to Vice President Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, New York Governor George Pataki, and FBI Director Robert Mueller, and prepares brief remarks."
Bush Briefs The School's Staff
"9:29: President Bush makes his first public statements about the attacks, in front of an audience of about 200 teachers and students at the elementary school. He states that he will be going back to Washington. "Today, we've had a national tragedy," he starts. "Two airplanes... have crashed... into the World Trade Center... in an apparent terrorist attack on our country," and leads a moment of silence. No one in the President's travelling party has any information during this time that other aircraft were hijacked or missing." [Wikipedia]

"9:35: The President's motorcade departs from the elementary school, bound for Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport and Air Force One."
The Sphere
The Sphere is a large metallic sculpture by German sculptor Fritz Koenig that once stood in the middle of Austin J. Tobin Plaza, the area between the World Trade Center towers in Manhattan. The artwork was meant to symbolize world peace through world trade, and was placed at the center of a ring of fountains and other decorative touches designed by trade center architect Minoru Yamasaki to mimic the Grand Mosque of Mecca, Masjid al-Haram, in which The Sphere stood at the place of the Kaaba. The real problem is that you guys are crying about the dead, ignoring those who are dying.

Millions have died as a result of the events of 9/11. Most of our military 'engagements' are due to this event.
Plenty of people are still dying as a result of the lies of 9/11, which is why the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
Poverty is the result of the same beast that facilitated this event. Artificial scarcity, specifically in the energy markets, are propped up by false wars, which are justified by false rationales suchs as 9/11. Issues of poverty relate to 9/11 directly and indirectly.

The issue i have with 9/11 is every year even in Australia its brought up and pasted everywhere and we're all meant to feel sympathy and pay homage to those who died. yet the U.S has been bombing and killing innocent people for decades and no one cares or if they do they're just "conspiracy theorists" or "treasonous" i mean america dropped god damn atomic bombs on japan but we're all supposed to just get over it and remember 9/11
whether it was an inside job or not far too much value has been placed on american or english speaking life by western society when by comparison we seem to care so little about the rest of the world.
Yeah, that's a valid point. Western life is seen as being more valuable, and that's not right.
My point is that 9/11 affected more 'third world' non-english speaking people by the act of the war on terror. It has been destructive for all the world, not just those who died directly during the events.

You have said it all @teamsteem, one of those who really researched themselves and showing the culprits to the world. Having said that, whoever did this doesn't belong to any religion or race. Why would a normal person kill thousands of people? Being a Muslim, I was always taught to be nice with non Muslims. Infact, I have more non Muslims friends than Muslims and we live like brothers here in Pakistan.
I was actually impressed when Americans came out on streets to protest against the war on Afghanistan and Iraq, it showed the world that people of America can't be made fool!
Killing one person is actually like killing the whole humanity and that's what I believe. Can't believe that politicians could kill anyone just to get money and power. People are innocent and they are being controlled!

i support your viewpoint and infact i believe that there may not be complete reality with what religion do culprits belong to.. i mean have anyone given a thought that from how long those culprits have been taught for all such wrong acts... and when they are too small they may not be even knowing the meaning of the term religion... then how can religion be even talked about under such matter... i am a non muslim and i have muslim friends in here India too and i must say my dear that muslims are so true by heart that i have learnt alot of things from my friends... We all are educated now so must teach our children and our students to live peacefully with healthy mentality... :)
Exactly, this is what we have to do, unite and defeat all those who want to divide us. Humanity comes first, not the religion and that's what we all have to understand!

We should not fool ourselves though. The current model has existed for thousands of years. Those who benefit from it will not go quietly into the night. They would rather cull the herd and reset everything.
I will continue to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Good people have to act however. We cannot sit by idly and expect individual liberty to further on its own.
Religions are like economies and nation states. They are just pieces on the chess board to the rulers. They use those things to play the game (control the masses, maintain their power).

I do not believe that religion can be anyone's excuse for murder. I am never for war or the further loss of life. I know quite a few Muslims, and never have they treated me in any other way than with respect, and I them. We must all learn to respect that we have different beliefs. I taught my children that respect for people from all walks of life is what makes the world a better place.
My son's best friend signed up for the US Army right out of high school because the family couldn't afford college. He saw it as his only opportunity to further himself. Sadly, he was killed by an RPG on Memorial Day in Afghanistan a few years ago. My son didn't hate the people that killed his best friend. He couldn't understand why our nation was still involved so many years later in other's affairs. He was only a small boy when 9/11 happened. To this day he still treats people from all walks of life as he was raised to, with respect.

I was in 7th grade Spanish class when the classroom TV's were turned on and televised what was happening to a room of naive, sheltered, confused children. It was the first time I remember being fearful of my "normal" surroundings and it left a pretty huge impression. Years later, I still find myself being confused and somewhat fearful of my "normal" surroundings and growing more so everyday.
Fearful people are way easier to control. I believe this is what is really meant by the term "the truth will set you free." Truth inoculates a person against fear. We fear the unknown because it can be dangerous. Therefore, seek and know the truth, and change that fear into righteous anger. Then use that anger to further good.

Nice post @teamsteem. 911 tragedy has too many mistery. If I read, listen, and watch from any media there is some aireplane hit that building. Some body tells us they are terrorists. But there are too many videos recorded and spread across many media including youtube, no plane at the time of the explosion. I'm not sure which one is right?
This brings back so many memories. So much details I had no idea about.
I still remember the day we were getting ready for school and suddenly the news show videos of towers collapsing. Everything just went numb for a moment.

I lived up there when the attacks happened. My father in laws construction company was one of the first to start removing debris to staten and Long Island where they had people sifting through it looking for body parts.
My opinion by looking at Wtc7 and the way BBC covered it 20 min before it colopased is that, that building was definitely an inside job. As far as the towers I just have to say we found the passport of one of the highjackers in pristine condition C'mon!

That was thrown there and didn't even match the planes! Have you heard of Dr. Judy Wood? She is a bit annoying but she thinks the towers were hit with some device that just evaporated them. Like the Hutchinson effect.
I know her. Her theory violate the laws of physics. I don't know much about her theory but that's my preliminary take on it. I haven't delve deeper into her stuff.

Great post. I thought about including this fact in my post too. I'm not sure I realized it was the A&E911 who were behind it. I wish it would have been fully submitted before 911 this year. I can's see what will happened when it's get fully release in October.

It is a moment I will never forget. Was performing an exam and wasn't doing well. It all seemed useless afterwards. Luckily it was my last exam and I passed...It was a very strange time. Luckily later attack were much smaller scale

I would just like to say this is one of the best steemit posts I have seen in a long time. The way its laid out very informative and a must place to start for anyone researching the truth about 911 . You must have spent such a long time with your investigation gathering so much information to pass on to everyone . Well done great read great start to the never ending rabbit hole of crime corruption and cover up that will blow anyones mind and keep them hooked on thier pc searching for the truth for many years to come. I remember watching it on TV my mind was totally blown and ever since that day its been a never ending unfolding of lies and deceit by many parties involved. I remember it like it was yesterday. Even though I'm european , I had a friend in the us call me to turn on the news.. and then time stood still for a few hours while I was stuck to the TV on cnn. I couldn't believe it was real... I didn't want to believe.
Then I read 2 books on the events and watched all the documentaries, including The Jumpers... a piece of me died with that.
Unfortunately that was only the beginning of modern day terrorist attacks .
That was one thing I remember more than anything, the jumpers. so sad :(

Wow @teamsteem, you never cease to amaze with your in-depth reports on the topics you take on-- this is certainly very thorough, and well put together.
I remember standing in my kitchen, watching the first tower burn... and listening to to the report that an airplane had crashed into the tower. Seemed so odd. Then came a second plane... followed by the "goosebumpy" sensation at the thought that I was witnessing the start of World War III-- live.
We were all watching... mesmerized. And then I distinctly remember my first sensation that something was "fishy," when WTC-7 fell. I don't know a LOT about civil engineering and architecture... but it seemed impossible. I remember thinking that it was a "very well orchestrated attack" because the "terrorists" had also managed to get bombs inside WTC-7, and set them to detonate in connection with the planes.
It just never fit.
All these years later... the "answer" that seems most likely to me remains that "someone" in government-- US or global-- observed that the US (and world population) wasn't "afraid enough" anymore. The Berlin Wall had fallen. Communism in Eastern Europe ended. There was no more "red menace" to scare people...
.... and people HAVE to be scared in order to be easily controlled. If people are content and happy, they are far more difficult to manipulate and control. And so-- even though there was little doubt that extremist terrorism EXISTED-- a new "unseen menace" had to be created... or the broader population might become too difficult to control.
"Let's blow up something iconic, INSIDE the US, and make it the 'responsibility' of unseen and largely unseen terrorists!"
It has worked pretty well, so far....
We all pretty much remembered where we were when we learned about it.
As for the mystery surrounding the events, they seems to multiply the more your look into it.

That day was a black day for all humanity. Stil some part of the world is burning, we need to heal our planet. We can reduce this kind of inhuman threat by providing humanitarian education along with modern science. Politicians should stop lying.
