RE: She was my first

in #memories2 years ago

It must be a guy thing but from the title I knew you were talking about the car. Oh man my first car was a 1992 Holden Commodore VS HSV. Think it was a 92 model or a 97 I always get confused between VR and VS.

Fark I loved that car my first and only V8. A friend pulled out onto a main road and it got ridden off. I could never come to grips of cheating on her and owning another V8. Fuel was 70-80c a liter back then. We drove the east coast of Aus then cut across to Darwin and down the Stuart Highway to SA. We had plans to go to Alice Springs but down the centre is long, boring at hot so we kept driving. I think I was 19 at the time.

I loved that trip, first and last time I'd do central though.

Sort:

VR went through to 1995 so VR it was.

That's a decent first car indeed but I htink my 1964 Beetle would have taken it at the lights...All 1.2 liters of roaring beastly engine and all.

I always wanted a Beatle because of the TV show, Herby was it? Be honest did she talk?

Remember the old Minies oh man those things were epic to fang it in and rip the hand break on.

Herbie: The love bug. Yeah.

Reading I totally imagined that poor old Herby at the start of the movie, haa!
Nice one :)

Hahaha that's quite funny.. ah man, showing my age now.

V8 as first car is a dream.

My first car was GM 1.0 Corsa. love it, and clean every part all weekend too...

My favorite was GM/opel Astra 2.0. my longest relationship ever, 10 Years. Best car ever.

We had Astra's here. I've always gone for commodores which I believe are buiks in the US? I have an SV6 Sports wagon currently. Actually goes harder than older model V8s and costs less on fuel.

Saving fuel is great!
