I always have a cardinal couple flying around my yard- all year long! I think cardinals mate for life? Chime in you bird lovers.
Here's the big guy atop the Kousa dogwood in my front yard taken a week ago. THe buds were just barely out. Can't wait for the blooms, but that will be for a future treetuesday!

We had 4 males and 2 females here all winter. We see them around, at least a male and a female sometimes during the rest of the year.
I like to think that it's the same couple who is here year round!
