Point Break

This is one of those movies that will keep your face glued to the screen until the last second, and, if you’re lucky, you will be able to get its hidden message, and maybe even get inspired to try some new experiences. I stumbled upon it quite a while ago when one of you guys suggested it in the comments of an article from this series, so make sure to recommend more movies since I am keeping track of your suggestions.

Disclaimer: I have to note that these are my opinions, that I took from the movie, but I advise you to watch it yourself, maybe you will feel differently or pick up on something I missed.

Courage

If you look at most scenes from the movie you may think that all those people are very courageous, and they are able to do those insane stunts only because they are fearless but, that is far from the truth. Most people think that being brave means having no fear but, in reality, bravery means pushing forward, through the darkness even though you’re feeling fear in every bone of your body.

Courage means going against the basic human instinct that tells you not to leave your comfort zone because that instinct is flawed. Humans have lived under dangerous circumstances where they were facing tremendous threats to their lives on a daily basis, and that instinct developed to protect them, fear was saving their lives but, in our society, it is not needed anymore, we are not fighting for survival at that level.

You probably don’t want to jump off rocks, that might not be the best idea if you’re not appropriately trained but, you surely have in your day-to-day life normal things that you are afraid of, that you have to overcome. Regardless if that means building a business, talking to unknown people or, just pursuing your passion, you have to do it despite the fear you’re feeling because only then you grow as a human being. After all, what’s the worst thing that can happen? As long as you don’t die, you can always fix the situation.

Will you ever become fearless? That doesn’t seem so possible, and it shouldn’t be the goal, since fear is hardwired in our brains but, if you put yourself in stressful, fearful situations, you might just learn how to cope with your instincts.

Training

You are probably looking at the stunts those characters are pulling off, thinking how impressive they are but, there’s only one secret behind them. Those characters are not regular people, they are extreme sports athletes, they train day in, and day out, that’s their secret. They are not just lucky people that are jumping into risky situations brainlessly, they are trained and disciplined.

You probably don’t want to become an athlete but, regardless of what you desire to accomplish, the same principle applies to you too. If you train hard enough for long enough, you can become one of the best at anything but, you need to have the right mentality, you need discipline.

If you want more than just average, you will have to put in more work than most people, you will have to train regularly, without exceptions, without brakes. The difference between the top basketball players and the rest is that the first ones are training even in the off-season instead of partying like the others.

There will come some days when you will not be in the mood for working, training; thus you need the discipline to push yourself back into training mode but, you can only do that if you’re not missing days if you’re building a powerful mental muscle. If you have the stomach to give up on a lot of entertainment and the usual stuff, and train instead then, you can become one of the bests at anything.

Lifestyle

If you watched the movie, the lifestyle illustrated in it might resonate with you; you might wish to have a life like that because those people seem to be so free and happy, and those are two things we all want. The life those characters live is so out of the ordinary, so full of freedom that it becomes inspiring.

The sad truth is that most people are living like they are going to be here forever, they try to maximize their money, their choices only to have a better life in the future but, they forget that the only moment we have is the now, we live in the now. The past existed and the future might never come but, we are here, we only have this moment so live your life with urgency.

When I say live it with urgency, I don’t mean running around like a crazy man, trying to speed up everything but, to focus most of your time on the things that matter to you, to try to minimize the time you spend on the things that don’t contribute to your vision since your time is limited. Do what you love now, don’t waste your time on meaningless things, pursue your passions, live a life that you are proud of, a life that you desire, regardless what that means for you.

Many philosophers throughout history arrived at the same conclusion that, the lifestyle you live is what brings you great happiness so, take risks, gain freedom, don’t follow the crowd, and live the way you want to live because, as far as we know, we only live once.

Lessons Learned

Experiencing new things on a regular basis is the key to keep adding flavor to your life when things start to become normal, especially that at the end of this whole life-thingy, the only thing that might remain with us are our experiences, our memories. So, try to invest your resources, as much as you can, into new experiences and people since they will pay you back the most.

The lifestyle is one of the things that bring people the most happiness so if you build your life around something that you enjoy doing, and you become the best at it while you’re constantly taking risks and pushing your boundaries, sooner or later you might gain freedom.

These are the lessons that I have got from the movie, powerful lessons that will hopefully impact your life at a deep level. If you would like to see a film featured in this series make sure to tell me about it down below.

I recognize myself perfectly in this desire to abandon my current way of life, to get closer to nature I wish to develop a small activity permaculture (garden-orchard), where I will leave to obtain energy autonomy, with a house in earth. In parallel I will pursue a life-saving activity; a domain in accordance with my values.

I see what you mean, self-sustainability is amazing. I love the nature too; I have a small house that's away on a hill, I often like to stay there to clear my mind. Yours sounds like a goal worth pursuing, good luck. :)

focus most of your time on the things that matter to you, to try to minimize the time you spend on the things that don’t contribute to your vision since your time is limited. Do what you love now, don’t waste your time on meaningless things, pursue your passions, live a life that you are proud of, a life that you desire, regardless what that means for you.

That's literally my lifestyle!! And i love how steemit support that life style, you could go on a travel and post about it and get rewarded and with that reward go for another travel!!

Yes, it's quite amazing because you can blog under almost any circumstances, from anywhere, it's an amazing way to travel while working.

Very good movie! I actually saw it years ago. I’m pretty sure most of us know what the point of this movie is, or at least those “Thiefs”, at least to be called this way in government’s eye. For honest people, they are heroes. Eventually, even FBI undercover agent understood the point. Giving back what government took from the people. The movie is not called “Point Break” for nothing. It’s like once you cross this breaking point, you can do anything. Of course, you must have motivation and passion to reach beyond this point. These guys obviously reached it.

The lifestyle is one of the things that bring people the most happiness so if you build your life around something that you enjoy doing,...

I agree and as I already mentioned, motivation and passion is a must!
Great review of “Point Break” movie and thank you for sharing your opinion about lifestyle everyone should follow to at least get a chance to reach their own happiness.

Yes, even if I don't necessarily support what they are doing, their intentions and lifestyle are inspiring for sure. I am glad you enjoyed the post, thanks for your comment. :)

From a celluloid screen to reality. The things shown on movies are all material and fake set up. Done only with the purpose of pulling the audiences. If you aare a smarter person, you do not get attracted towards those show off and all fake stunts. But in case your jist opposite personality those fake things attracts you.
Already these celluloid world have spoil the new generation , from costumes to talking style everything have taken effect only by following the fame material show off. People need to understand that these movie are only for entertainment and not to adapt in reality.

Need to live and see the real world.

Actually, the scenes were shot with professional extreme sports athletes. Everything that happened in the movie was recorded by the crew; there were real people that pulled off those stunts. But, regardless, the idea of the whole post was not the stunts but the lessons you can take out from them and the rest of the movie.

I see it from a different angle...people get highly unfluenced with the professional makeover ans try to recreate in real life..thereby spoiling everything

@GuyFawkes4-20, Awesome, and sometimes for sure movies can give learning lessons, but yes, for that we have to watch movies with more Observatory Ways. And when we explore movies in observatory ways then for sure we can get the ultimate points of particular movie or any other aspects.

And specially which you've highlighted in this post are really important means, Courage is one of the inner Attribute which can play an magical role for sure, and courage help us to cross those obstacles which till now we are thinking as it's impossible.

Training or Discipline are those theories which implemented effectively in practical life then we can become like an Unmovable Rock because training push us to do one thing over and over and when we tend to do one aspect over and over then for sure we gain the perfection and we buildup the confidence. And discipline always remind us what is our daily Do's and Don'ts.

And in my opinion, everyone is striving hard in life to make an great Lifestyle, but it's an journey because, we are living in an highly competitive world and we have to cope up with all changes and dynamism of life so that we can be well prepared for the future uncertainties.

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂

What you highlighted in your comment is pretty much right, I think that to have a fulfilling life you need all these small elements. I see it as a puzzle; they combine with each other to create something bigger, better. Cheers for this epic comment.

Yes, that's why small moments are nothing but the combination for the bigger and brighter day. Stay blessed. 🙂

Movie works as the only vehicle to entertain, the movie can serve as the only vehicle for our entertainment, the only reason for us to create many movies is to convey the human race in different ways...

Good movie, excellent performance by Edgar Ramirez, VENEZUELAN PRIDE

GREAT POST. a very detailed description of this Break point from your point of view. This post not only elaborates on the beauty of the film but also gives us a refreshing soul so that it will inspire its readers well. many things can be learned from your potential and will inspire us all. We can know the ins and outs of moral values and mandates conveyed by a cinematographic work in this film.
A tontona film that is not only entertaining but there is a moral message that can be taken by the audience. When watching movies we feel invited to adventure in scenarios and storylines. We not only feel like watching the show but are emotionally involved in the film so that there are times when our tense scenes come in late. When the conflict arises we will be sucked in the flow of the story so that without realizing we become players who follow all the scenes.
After finishing watching, we think more clearly and understand the story in the film. We begin to realize the scene of the characters in the film is not the same in reality. Even though we also know there are danger scenes by players or stunts.
There is a sense of satisfaction watching scene after scene in Point Break. Behind it all there is a moral value that we pick.
As we have read in this post we know better that in life there are always challenges that require responsive and intelligent responses. With the right response will be able to answer the challenges in this life. As an illustration, in the midst of this hard challenge we need to have a good work ethic.

  1. The values of discipline must be held continuously so that we will be able to survive and be able to penetrate the boundaries so that we can successfully overcome problems for the sake of problems properly. This picture will be felt when we write in steemit, for example, we must be disciplined and may feel a little self-imposed or at least define ourselves always in anxiety if we do not work. For this reason, the discipline of writing with quality and original works becomes a frown that cannot be avoided.
  2. It takes courage to make a breakthrough. If we feel that we are in a comfort zone then we will not be able to progress anymore. We lose the passion to innovate and break the boundaries until we get out of the comfort zone. If we feel in a tight condition, ideas, ideas and planning will become more contained. We feel challenged and motivated to achieve success.
  3. awareness that there will always be risks that must be faced. In this life, wherever we are, working or doing activities there will always be risks that occur. Challenges, threats, obstacles are not things we should avoid. If we avoid the problem then later on another occasion a similar problem will emerge so that we inevitably have to face it. So instead of waiting for another problem that is more complex, it would be better if we just solve the problem after issue. As long as we don't give up there will definitely be a way.

Where there is a will, there is a way

Movie works as the only vehicle to entertain, the movie can serve as the only vehicle for our entertainment, the only reason for us to create many movies is to convey the human race in different ways...

I am an enormous fanatic of the first point break made in 1991 and now I have seen the 2016 reboot and kid this is one of the most noticeably awful movies of the year and one of the most exceedingly bad reboots ever. The preface of the film sees a youthful best in class FBI operator hoping to invade a pack of outrageous competitors who may likewise be culprits. Luke bracey plays johnny Utah in this film and this is conceivably a standout amongst the most stoic characters of the year and you won't think about him by any means. His character is simply so uninteresting that it truly slaughters each scene that he is associated with. Edgar Ramirez plays bowdie in this film and simply like bracey he is extremely stoic and isn't a fascinating character like his past manifestation. He is only your bland terrible person that Doesn't have any of the profundity to him that you need him as well. Additionally their science Together simply doesn't work and you just truly don't get it by any means...

And you used the exact same page as your friends. How clever. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2058673/reviews

Flag and Steemcleaners.

The first Point Break was for the most part known for its critical manly relationship amongst Utah and Bodhi and a portion of its most noteworthy activity scenes at any point put to film. In any case, this revamp doesn't convey enough equity to the religion exemplary. Its new approach, rather than a basic covert cop spine chiller, is currently a globe-jogging enterprise highlighting thrill seekers who are pulling off an amazing trick appear. Despite the fact that the tricks are noteworthy on occasion, regardless it could not hope to compare with the first. The characters are insipid, the plot has neither rhyme nor reason and each minute it endeavors to recreate with the first is simply horrendously constrained for what they trust it's called "fan benefit." Therefore, there isn't much purpose behind Point Break (2015) to exist.

So Point Break is presently about the tricks, however simply like most activity films today, it likewise needed to strip away identity. So at whatever point we see the cops, and even the thrill seekers, collaborate, it's simply not all that engaging. One of the charms of the first, while it had some extraordinary activity successions, even the characters are fascinating to watch. Regardless of whether it's play, it's as yet worth investing your energy. Presently, it some way or another ends up uninteresting filler, particularly the affection intrigue. Keep in mind when Utah needed to lie about his backstory to procure her trust? Indeed, now they just effectively attach and that's it, until the point that some wind happens or something to that effect. Utah and Bodhi aren't as drawing in, either. They're for the most part regurgitating work, while Bodhi is fundamentally acting like a farce of somebody from a New Age religion. Their aim of getting to be Robin Hoods is somewhat ambiguous also, however I figure nobody supposes it really matters.

Nonetheless, there are a few things to at any rate like in this film. The activity is somewhat dazzling; the way that they're outwardly more reasonable to take a gander at than most CG-fest that blockbusters tend to sustain us (with the exception of the epilog which is excessively self-evident.) Maybe the best among them is the stone climbing grouping where it goes from wide shots to grimy hand shots of perceiving the amount they'd hold. Luke Bracey isn't exactly terrible as an activity legend, however he truly needs a superior material than this. Edgar Ramirez is most likely simply stayed with a tastelessly composed Bodhi and truly stays stick-in-the-mud with whatever he says in regards to nature. Beam Winstone, however a decent performing artist, is simply not the importantly wonderful Papas that Gary Busey set up. Also, the motion picture wouldn't be any extraordinary if Teresa Palmer's part was composed off.

You and your buddy plagiarized reviews from the very same page. Made it pretty easy to see. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2058673/reviews

Flag and Steemcleaners for you too,

This is my contribution about this movie.
A Gen Z refresh to Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 religion great, this change is basically a scene of Fast and Furious in which the vehicular adventures have been supplanted with a combination of extraordinary games groupings. Developed with a disturbing measure of genuine film and physical trick work, the various activity set pieces are somewhat great; a high octane wing-suit floating scene and the pressure building rock climbing finale besting the rundown. However the effect of these adrenaline junkie stunts is squandered on a film that flops on relatively every other level @adsactly.

Coming from Kurt Wimmer's really terrible screenplay, consistently not spent navigating a mountainside, taking off through the air or surfing a mammoth wave is wince commendable as well as yawn prompting. Wimmer's exchange endeavors to be philosophical and Zen-like, however with stereotypical stinkers like "the main law is gravity" and "everybody kicks the bucket, it's simply an issue of how", it's completely unexpectedly entertaining. Supplanting the forever cool Patrick Swayze was continually going to be extreme, anyway Edgar Ramirez completes a strong activity as appealling eco-warrior Bohdi. The same can't be said for low-spending plan Chris-Hemsworth hunk Luke Bracey however, who is so wooden as Johnny Utah he makes Keanu Reeves look like Daniel Day Lewis. This advanced refresh flaunts a bunch of truly fabulous activity groupings, yet they're insufficient to warrant a suggestion in what is generally a limp and incongruous spine chiller.
