Lost Dog - Show Us Your California

in #mycalifornialast month

Hi friends,

This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @thesocalhive where we share an aspect of our California.

My family has two outdoor cats as pets, though we didn’t intend for that that to be the case. My kids and wife befriended one neighborhood cat, which then decided to live with us - we have no idea where it came from but it was not fixed and not chipped. Given this, we adopted it but it was pregnant at the time - it had a litter of kittens, and we gave all of them to new homes, except one, which is how we ended up with 2.

We were outside playing recently and a lost dog came into our cul de sac. It looked friendly and I called it over - it was a bit scared as there was thunder and lightning in the area. It had a tag to a pet clinic but it did work, so my wife went online and started posting it to community groups. Here is the dog:

After a few hours of waiting and hanging out with the dog, a neighbor a couple streets away was thrilled that their lost dog was safe :). They came over and picked up the dog, which was very happy to see them.

A happy ending in my California.

Thanks for coming by,
Brian

That's awesome. A happy ending with pets is always welcome in my books. I hope they are able to fix their tag in case this happens again.

Many people have adopted animals after pandemic, especially cats :)

I still wish to have a dog as a pet

it's so cute

I myself am very fond of keeping dogs like this and I will definitely buy one like this in no time.

We have microchips on dogs, so you Always know whos the owner

Yay! 😍

This is very good of you because a lost dog is lost but you can foster it until its owner is found.

Can nurture it. Until its owner comes. After that you can give the dog to the owner. If you know how to become a dog friend for some reason, it can be easy. thank you

So you mean that there are some dogs that won’t bark or bite when they see strangers just like this friendly dog
Right?

Thank you for participating in this weeks Show us Your California contest!
