That's pretty much what happened in China and Hong Kong as well, but even more obvious that it is untrue, since the supply of ivory here is a lot lower.

But it's good to hear that Thailand is also cracking down on the ivory trade! I agree that China needs to step up and set an example here; they are really the ones responsible for most of the illegal wildlife products in the world.
