VR might not yet be in mainstream due to high prices and lack of uses but the latter is changing fast. 3D modeling has always been pain in the ass, mouse and keyboard just can't mimic sculpting in level that could feel satisfying to the user. However with VR you can use your hands like you would naturally do in sculpting, I've seen several programs like Blocks from Google that try to make modeling more enjoyable, faster and easier but Gravity takes the cake with this trailer.
Now anyone could bring designs from their mind to the reality, as you can use 3D printers to print out objects you create in Gravity! Yes, we live "in the future". Can't wait to see what people come up with!

VR is cool and all but it's stuff like this that really makes me want to have it. I think these guys are doing a kickstarter and their product is not out yet. Imagine this tech combined with 3d printers that could switch materials, maybe someday we can print out clothes that we have ourselves designed. Combine metals to the mix and we have something wild in our hands.
My wallet already cries knowing I eventually just must get VR, this program and a printer... I hope you get yours for christmas! Artist like you could make a business out of it, I bet.
I bet I could make some wicked clothes ha ha. First clothing line via VR by HR I see it now.
Of course they wouldn't even have to be printed out, people could use them with their avatars in virtual worlds. Modelers have been making huge bucks selling their creations for some time now but we haven't seen anything yet.

I've been reading your other accounts stuff every now and then. Usually they just leave me speechless so I don't comment anything (I tried).

Thought like that didn't cross my mind, rather I'm just in awe how open you are.
What are you doing these days?
It's been a long time, arty, too long it feels like. Majority of my free time is spent on Steemgar, it's an ongoing struggle onwards but it is getting there. I just need to get through one more stretch of learning couple new things and applying them and I'd be in a good place with it, a place where I could actually get more hands in deck and not have my mind on it daily.
How about you? What's been on your mind?
Just getting to some long over due projects lately. Miss our nerdy rants. If you ever need an artist for the project , would love to help out in a month or so.
