Direct TV incompetence.

While I've seen many customer demands for Direct TV to drop Fox News and the Fox Business Channel, I would have expected changes to happen with some sort of notice. Flat out dumping their channels while still advertising them as part of their channel lineup speaks to some pretty serious incompetence at Direct TV.

I know they were contract squabbling for some time, and that possibly accounts for some of it, but those of us who insist that watching both sides of the issues are emphatically NOT automatically Republicans, Trump supporters or insurrectionists, which has been the claim of those DTV customers howling for Fox's demise. Assuming that just hearing another side of an issue automatically triggers some sort of evil response is completely insulting.

We seem to be in a time when some folks believe it is their right to dictate to everyone else what they get to see or hear. Contrary to the narrative, it's not about saving us from what they believe to be our clearly mindless selves, it's about forcing others to conform to a given worldview. And companies that don't have the guts to defend their own decisions against extreme bias don't deserve customers.

We had a similar kerfluffle between Altitude which showed the hockey games and Comcast, which is why we moved to Direct TV. The bizarre thing here is they had no trouble sorting out the sports channels, but carved out a separate squabble over the news and business parts of Fox -- you know the ones with differing political opinions, which seems to be a response to biased subscribers.
