It would be rather ironic if they start printing SBD again if it goes significantly above $1.00... given how much effort has gone into burning SBD...
Starts to look a bit like a government bureaucracy: lot of people doing lots of work, all to we can end up in exactly the same place.
Busybodies are going to busybody. SBD shot up multiples of $1 on its own in the past.
Isn't that the plan though? What is the point of sbd if it's not being printed?
This is why I am not as exuberant about crypto as a lot of people here. It may be a step up from what we have, but then again, who knows what problems we will run into. I feel as long as people are working on building trust and decentralizing power we will be ok though, regardless of what form it takes
Not to mention the fat salaries earned by doing that heavy work.

If SBD goes significantly above $1.00, according the known old 'rules', they will have to start printing SBD once again. To end up in exactly the same place. Rinse & Repeat!
Well, unless all these Burnt Potatoes initiative is no more than a newish evil complot of the government bureaucracy & elites to reserve the SBDs exclusively for witnesses, devs & SPS own use and eventually fishy future maneuvers. LoL

Because to tell the truth. All the intention to create this post. It was exclusively to hijack part of their donations, delegations and upvotes towards my own posts an then place the conversions and burn the SBDs by myself in my own humorous style. };)

Probably less potatoes for now. Who knows if the burnings have helped the price recover, but I’d rather be at a dollar than 50c SBD-wise.

That's a good question my friend. For some brief minutes I've also asked that to myself. But nah, short after I recalled I don't believe in rosy unicorns, philanthropic leprechauns nor fairy tales. The price recover surely must have been a job of surreptitious Cranky Gandalfs instead. };)
All the potatoes have been a hidden witness-campaign for one of its makers. At least this is the only visible effect I can see.

Not sure he runs that account, but does have a few burn proposals in. But yeah, I think he has, although not due to my vote.
Yeah, apparently thecryptodrive actually is the father, the creator and the custodian of the potato creature and Smooth the Godfather. Godfather who btw, is also the stallion that fathered the burnpost account.
