“Intimidating the judge”: Expert says Trump Truth Social post put a “target” on judge’s daughter

Judge in New York hush money case places limited gag order on Trump

The order prevents Trump from making public statements about witnesses in the hush money case, prospective jurors, members of the court staff and their families, and lawyers other than Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
The partial gag order follows Trump's disparaging remarks about Merchan and his daughter after the judge set trial for April 15.

Florida Bans Social Media for Minors Under 14

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation Monday that prohibits people under 14 years old from having social-media accounts, regardless of parental consent, one of the most restrictive laws aimed at curbing social-media access for minors.
Under the new law, social-media companies are required to close accounts believed to be used by minors under 14. The platforms must also cancel accounts at the request of parents or minors, and all information from the accounts must be deleted.

If I’m reading that right, it only affects the size of the bond, not the size of the judgement.

Mike Gallagher Screwed GOP Leadership On the Way Out

Trump Will Go On Trial April 15

That hearing was bad news for Trump and not only because of the new trial date. That’s twice now that the judge, Juan Merchan, has seemed impatient with his lawyers, and seen through their attempts at delay and distraction. If the judge keeps the lawyers on this tight a leash during the trial itself, the former president will be in trouble.

How to Finally Outrun Trump’s Efforts to Outrun the Law

This is a story about the Supreme Court as much as it is one about Trump.

The Golden Age Of The Paranoid Political Thriller

Impeachment. Charges of sedition. A president with a very low approval rating. Treasonous members of Congress. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff leading a movement to oust the president in a coup.
All of those stressful plot points are from director John Frankenheimer’s 1964 political thriller “Seven Days in May,” and ably demonstrate why political thrillers are not only well, thrilling, but also sometimes predictive and all too believable.
