It was amazing that there existed the drawings under the eaves.
It was not easy for me to see the drawings under the eaves in such an old buildings.
So I was so happy to see the paintings on the wall of Daewung-jeon hall of Bongjeong-sa temple.
The drawings looked like including the story when it comes to the like and the enlightenment of Buddha.
In many cases, such drawings were erased by the passage of the time.
But Bongjeon-sa temple seemed to preserve those drawings very well.
I’d like to introduce some pics among those drawings.
Wow..oh my God old work..really these painting so cool.
I enjoy lot..thanks.for sharing with us these awesome old art work in building..
Have a nice day..Sir. @slowwalker
@slowwalker,
It's great to see those ancient artworks are well secured in this temple! Sometimes it's colors can be shaded, but those drawings are clearly visible! Excellent photography and really valuable contribution to people who wish to visit those ancient places of Korea!
Cheers~
very good drawings, all credits for the artist
beautiful photos, @slowwalker.
So much of the beauty and wonder of life is 'beneath the eaves'
Oftentimes, it's the unexpected discoveries that amaze us - things endure that are unexpected either because the climate is arid or the artifacts are cached in a place that is inaccessible to the ravages of rain.
Art helps us to shelter from life's storms but sometimes we need to protect that same art that helps us endure.
Enjoy your Sunday, my friend :)

Such wonderful drawings and you can so see how much the West was influenced by the linework of this style and time period.
Wow, these are beautiful. Are these open to the public during temple hours, or did you have to have special permision to view them?
