It doesn't make any sense for two reasons...
Don't they want to encourage engagement and excitement on their users posts?
This was actually an 'Inactive' account... a single comment could have sparked that account to life. Doesn't @pinmapple want to retain it's users?
I might be completely misinterpreting this aspect of Hive Groups... (Or the @peakd front end? - That's where I'm currently viewing from as I process Mission Reports.)
But I couldn't help wondering aloud.

I think that they would rather encourage engagement and excitement on the posts that fit their community. hehehe
It's similar to - DreemPort removing posts that plagiarize. I certainly want the post to not be associated with DreemPort - and i ALSO don't want a bunch of dreemers heading there to give MORE attention to the post , dropping comments and potentially tagging DreemPort in all the comments as well.
It's about shutting down activity on that post IN THAT COMMUNITY. As far as the blockchain - sure the data is still there. And there is nothing that the community can do about that. But that is not fair for the community to have people just dropping things there, unwanted, and continuing to bring attention to a post that didn't belong there in the first place.
