Death is my go to Splinter for low mana battles.
There are several low mana cards available that pack a punch, many of which are common and rares.
The battle below illustrates this nicely:
The battle ruleset and mana
Mana - 18
Rulesets - no neutrals and Ferocity.
The lineup
summoner Thadius...
- Carrion Shade - really just an extra fluff card
- Crypt beatle - for shield
- Shadow Snithc, reaching and good damage
- Life sapper - 3 mana and life leach.
- Soul Strangler - one of the best low mana damage cards with poison!
- Corpse Fiend - mainly as a sneak soak...
The battle
- Round 1 - I lose my shade, and my Fiend, but that is what they are there for! Soaks! I take out my opponent's tank, a good exchange for me!
- Round 2 - I take out my opponent's second card. No losses for me.
- Round 3 - I lose my soul strangler, ouch! I take out my opponent's torrent fiend
- Round 4 - I take out my opponent's Pelacor
- Round 5 - I take out TWO of my opponent's cards.
- round 6 - it's all over and I am 3/6.
Final battle analysis...
My soaks came in handy, ultimately I won because my opponent couldn't get through my tank.
And I had a massive 16 health points to play with at the end of battle.
