For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building (1 Corinthians 3: 9)

In explaining to the church of Corinth, how God is working in this world to fulfil His purpose and will for mankind, Apostle Paul used a common and familiar activity of his day, that of farming. And we are grateful for the facts and truths he conveyed to us.
Paul's central theme was that we are all workers in God's field, and that we are in partnership with God.. He indicated that Apollos and himself work together for God and the place of their work is among the Corinthian Christians, who are God's field or vineyard. Paul planted the seeds of the gospel, and Apollos watered them, but God made them sprouted and grew. So the one who planted is just as important as the one who watered, though each has a different work. And each one will be paid for his labour according to what he has done.
And this truths apply to each one of us as God's people. Wherever we find ourselves, we must know and understand that we are not just making a living, or just making money, but the purpose and the ultimate goal is bigger that just earning salaries. We are fulfilling God's purpose and manifesting His will for us. We are at work in God's vineyard. And that we are in partnership with Him to bring about His ultimate purpose on earth. And what makes it worth doing what we are doing is the fact that it is the Lord God, the Creator and Maker of all things, we are serving and it is He who will one day judge each man's work and reward him or her accordingly. This is something.

Moreover, the Lord Jesus sounded a caution to us, and is worth noted here as we go about our daily life and activities, that if we are not working with Him, then we are working against Him, and if we are not gathering with Him, then we are scattering (Matth 12: 30, paraphrase). So let's give thought to our ways and doings, so that we don't work contrary to the God's purpose in the Lord's vineyard through our ignorance, selfishness and immaturity. So that we can greatly rejoice when the paying time is due.
May you become a good fellow worker with the Lord and may you gather with Him and not scatter because it is dangerous to do that. And may His grace and power abound to you and bring to you fruitfulness and good rewards both now and in eternity in Jesus's name. Amen
