Facebook was my best social media platform before the dApps due to the fact that i had been on it for a long time. I liked the fact that i could connect and relate with very many people who are my friends, relatives and even make friendship with those i did not know all over the world.
I was so addicted to it in a way that i could spend roughly 2 hours on it every day. I liked the other fact that i could store my photos on it. I also loved checking what my followers were always upto through the different things they kept on sharing.
Facebook is so famous and trending in my country and Africa as a continent. It puts every one in a place where with out having a facebook account you are not upto date.
Despite of its benefits it never satisfied me to the fullest being that i wasn't earning any single coin from it. I remember it was at one point last year. I was looking for a job to do online rather than spending my valuable time on social media such as facebook that was not adding value to me. J was by then struggling so much financially
after my graduation and was so willing to do any legal job that could fetch me something.
I tried several online business platforms such as build something great but it was a tough one to understand.
Steemit came to my attention through a friend who shared it with me and this has been a great one ever since the begining of this year as it has revolutionised my life.

My favorite social media before the advent of steemit which is now the most profitable social media and business alike site in existence is Facebook. I have been on Facebook since my highschool days.
The main reason I joined Facebook then is because everyone else uses it. This shouldn’t come as a great surprise to anyone, since over 1.3 billion users are on facebook, Facebook is a social media where my friends are likely to be, it aids good communication between friends and family, meet new people that you can't even imagine you could ever meet in your entire life.
Facebook has always be carrier of different news home and abroad work, I don't have to hold newspapers before I could know what is going on in my community and community of the world.
Another reason is because i can use it to build a professional profile such as creating awareness to my business through advertising my products. It is easy to use while sharing one's photos and it offers free video messaging where I could be able to see who I'm chatting with for real unlike other social media .
it’s an easy way of organizing events for people to reach be it naming ceremony, birthday and even funeral.
There are a lot of groups on facebook that offer information on any field of knowledge better than bulletin boards.
One amazing fact I like about it is because it’s the easiest method for me to remember the birthdays of my friends and family through their profiles.
Another interesting things is that facebook always get hold of other site which happens to be the alternative This explains why Facebook has been so quick to acquire potential rivals such as Instagram and Whatsapp.
I know that is not the case with my new found social media STEEMIT. It is a matter of time we reach the top through my support and yours, we surely win together. Wow, I like your choice, there is no site that could be compare to steemit right now for the fact there are a lot of app working differently for different purposes, such as steepshot which is meant for taken various picture of someone choice, and dtube which I believe it is a replacement for YouTube, we have discord which is meant for smooth communication amongst steemians, we have vlog, dlive e. t.c all these apps perform the functions of these of site I have ever seen. I believe STEEMIT is evolving everyday. There is the app that I had about of recent #steemmonster, it is a game. Have you heard of it brother. It is made by our amiable witnesses.
Yes STEEM is evolving everyday! So many innovations yet to be build and so many user friendly app will be released soon. I'm very excited and we must be patient for 2-3 years and contribute what we can.

My favourite was Facebook until steemit came along.
I loved facebook as it was a medium to reunite long lost friends. Personally i dont really have real friends so most of the friends i had is via facebook and my girlfriend now i met her on facebook and we are still happy 1.6years later.
In respect to value added. I don't really know about others but the platform was not adding to me financially or intellectually. It was just a place people go to live a fake life, fake smile and fake everything.

Facebook, I just buy internet quota and always be able to communicate with distant family through video call without having to spend credit, because my college location is far from where I live. Playing Facebook is part of a growing world. Humans are social beings, and with its various features, Facebook makes it easy. People can more easily make new friends, get to know new friends, at home or abroad.
With Facebook, I do not feel alone anymore. There are many online friends who are ready to talk, tell stories, or just joke with me.

I'm using Facebook for a couple of reasons, the main one being that I am home bound and Facebook allows me a place to interact with friends and family in a single arena. It allows me to interact and “participate” in their lives even though i am physically unable to be with them, wherever they may be.
Also, because I am a shut-in, I play a lot of “social” games, games that depend on friends and “neighbours” to complete goals. Facebook, is the only place that offers some of these games (8ball 🎱 , for example) and, having met and becoming friends with some of my co-gamers nearly five years ago, they have become very important to me. Our friendships have developed far beyond the constraints of the gaming world and they have become very real friends – friends that, often times, will notice my absence way before family or so called “real life” friends.
There is another reason , it is more secure and widely accepted way to keep up this same sort interaction with those people that make a difference in my life, I will remain on Facebook, guard myself and my life as diligently as possible. im saying this before I joined steemit.
Hello @nathanmars, I have used a lot social media apps and I have to say this, that steemit is way above any of them.
Well my favorite before steemit is a bit difficult, as I never was so active on any of them.
I will say Twitter and Instagram both of them are better than other social media.
Instagram allows you access to photos and videos from many different people and also it gives you an open ground to look for people who have similar interest. And facebook can only show things about people you follow.
Although Twitter is a whole different story.
I see you have started question answer blog, well that is quite interesting I would love to see more questions.
I likeed Instagram and youtube before steemit. I didn't use Insta for money though. On instagram I liked to see photos of my favorite people and on youtube I like watching various videos like how to, some web series, workouts, yoga, mediation and sometimes various lectures on different things from IT to religion. Youtube is my all time favorite. :D

To me I find facebook having very many users compared to the rest of the apps and it is much more affordable compared to the rest. It takes less data and so if someone is a low income earner and can't afford data they would rather facebook. So it having a lot of people, I basically use it for advertising my personal stuff. Am a business lady that sells bags and I use facebook to advertise my products. Then the other reason why facebook is my best, it is much easier for one to find their old friends on facebook than it is on other social media platforms. Again facebook summarizes all the other activities of other apps for example you can post pictures and videos just like you tube and instagram. You can do a lot. Facebook also is a social media platform for everyone, what do I mean, it can be used by different age groups unlike most of the rest. I think I have said it all, to me facebook takes it all. Both social medias for me connect around the world friends. I known some world wide naturalize places via their posts of FB. Also I looked naturalize safari, animals, forests etc... videos who's uploaded youtube. I'm a big nature lover in this platform and I love to read and watch naturalize once. For my objectives was most useful both media parties.

Hi @nathanmars before steemit I was so addicted to facebook because I was selling ladies bags and I did not have a location so with facebook I would run free Ads on the buy and sell groups and reach a huge community since most of the Ugandans are on facebook .Though when I got steemit I rarely do visit facebook like once in a month

Before 'Steemit' my favorite social media app was facebook.
-It was helping me connect to my friends of course
-To share moments and feel a connection with their lives
-To instant messaging to anyone whom i didnt know any other contact of.
Steemit came and it has changed me:
-I like to interact more with unknown people who give valuable and positive input
-Instead of getting fake likes and comments just because you are their friends.
-Even though it is good to get them, but feeling like people who only know you from your words, matter more :)

Before Steemit came to the scene or more appropriately before I came to the Steemit scene the most frequented and used website for me was YouTube.
YouTube - I feel like it is the most convenient video archive ever created in the digital history by mankind. I could have said the biggest but I will go with convenient. The truth is that it still is.
I have never been on Facebook, twitter, Instagram, rss.......etc. but I will freely admit that there is no moving away from YouTube for me. It is not just about casual fun - I am an academic, an entrepreneur and a researcher and I find that YouTube serves me well in my work and as well my private life.
Blockchain based video platforms have a long way to go before they can stand at par with YouTube.
Oh definitely. I am just referring to the ease of use and the fact that most of us use the video services for watching videos and not as content creators.

Before I find steemit, my best social media app was facebook for all of the following reasons.
It is very easy to use... I opened my first facebook account when I knew nothing about internet. Facebook was the one that created the passion to develop myself on internet in me. I don't need anybody's service to do this successfully, I learnt it on my own with facebook.
It's a place where I made friends and hooked up with friends... I lost connection with some of my secondary school friends over 10 years ago after graduating from school. But, with facebook I've been able to connect with some of them. I've made some amazing new friends on facebook as well
I browse through facebook for inspiration..... Though, what you see on facebook might not be one hundred percent true. But, each time I check, I see pictures I see posts that are enough to motivate me to keep going, I think that's all I need.
It helped me to keep some of my important pictures.... Each time I take pictures that are precious to me, I posted them on facebook so as to keep them forever. The other time I celebrated my birthday, I visited my facebook account to retrieve some of this pictures... It was great having those pictures intact
My writing skills was tested..... I was operating two pages on facebook where I write consistently. In fact, I used the name of one of the page to open my first steemit account @emmakwisequote, though, I've lost key into that account now..
If I do all that on facebook and enjoyed it without any monetary reward, no wonder I am well motivated to give steemit my all. Smile

I hope you are doing good bro.The very first social media app that I can say I was infatuated with was Facebook.The very day I opened facebook I realized how easy distant communication became but with time I was addicted to it and hence it destroyed my real social life.
Since am a photographer and painter I shared every artwork of mine there but it was of no use because I hardly ever was able to make my name.I had value to share with others but it was not reaching the masses and to do that fb asks you money for promotion.
Then I came across steemit and my life changed .I met people who are talented as hell just like you , trying and hustling to share their knowledge and also getting rewarded for the same.My knowledge is respected here and am still learning from you and many others and taking that in mind I write everyday.

Good day sir, i must confess, my best social media platform before steemit for me was youtube, i loved to use youtube and still love using the resource, why?, because i learn to search online for video tutorials , some pertaining to my academics, some pertaining to my devices(how to maintain them and improve and get the best out of them). I also use youtube for fun, i watch comedies and some movie trailers anytime i am bored or tired, i also make tutorials for people about devices, sharing my knowledge to the world. Thank you sir

I was never really a social media person but if given a choice, i would pick facebook. It was a way to keep in touch with friends and connect with new ones. I could keep up to speed on happenings in my friends' and family life. I met new people too.
I choose twitter. many of them that keep playing twitter until now is out of date. but I do not think that's true. I like twitter because I can freely tell stories with 160 characters, and sustainable. and also people will not comment not good as in instagram or facebook.

One major value Facebook offered me for my time and data was the value of keeping me informed and updated of happenings around me and my neighbourhood.
I normally dont have time to read news or discuss the trend of things in the society with people but going through my facebook feed I get these updates and trend.
From Facebook I could see the latest happenings with friends and family, from their updates and pictures I can relate with their present state and activities.
Through facebook, i do hook up with friends and also reunited with lost friends. I also get to make new friends and meet certain people.

I know many are of the opinion that facebool is outdated and has become total crap but the truth is. Facebool has a way of reuniting people and making you keep friends for a longer time without loosing gheir contacts.
Facebook os obviously a slow social media app in the sense that, it shows new when it has already trended and gone. Its not as current and fast as twitter or instagram in showing trending news but it still shows it anyways.
I am quite a stereotyped individual who hardly tries out new things, and this coukd be the reason why i havent tried out twitter or instagram till date. I just love my facebook and stick to it because it still gives me the information i need, links me up with old and forgotten friends and at the same time, very easy to use.
Anyways, steemit came along and changed all that. I rarely go to facebook these days unless once in a while.
As for instagram i've not been a fan since day one but i still have an account with them. People share pictures of what they are not "happy" what they don't have "luxury"

My favorite social media before the advent of steemit which is now the most profitable social media and business alike site in existence is Facebook. I have been on Facebook since my highschool days.
The main reason I joined Facebook then is because everyone else uses it. This shouldn’t come as a great surprise to anyone, since over 1.3 billion users are on facebook, Facebook is a social media where my friends are likely to be, it aids good communication between friends and family, meet new people that you can't even imagine you could ever meet in your entire life.
Facebook has always be carrier of different news home and abroad work, I don't have to hold newspapers before I could know what is going on in my community and community of the world.
Another reason is because i can use it to build a professional profile such as creating awareness to my business through advertising my products. It is easy to use while sharing one's photos and it offers free video messaging where I could be able to see who I'm chatting with for real unlike other social media .
it’s an easy way of organizing events for people to reach be it naming ceremony, birthday and even funeral.
There are a lot of groups on facebook that offer information on any field of knowledge better than bulletin boards.
One amazing fact I like about it is because it’s the easiest method for me to remember the birthdays of my friends and family through their profiles.
Another interesting things is that facebook always get hold of other site which happens to be the alternative This explains why Facebook has been so quick to acquire potential rivals such as Instagram and Whatsapp.
I know that is not the case with my new found social media STEEMIT. It is a matter of time we reach the top through my support and yours, we surely win together. There are a lot of activities we have to put in place on STEEMIT, to make it a better site for us all. What is yours my friend and how can we make STEEMIT everybody favorites ?

Wow, I like your choice, there is no site that could be compare to steemit right now for the fact there are a lot of app working differently for different purposes, such as steepshot which is meant for taken various picture of someone choice, and dtube which I believe it is a replacement for YouTube, we have discord which is meant for smooth communication amongst steemians, we have vlog, dlive e. t.c all these apps perform the functions of these of site I have ever seen. I believe STEEMIT is evolving everyday. There is the app that I had about of recent #steemmonster, it is a game. Have you heard of it brother. It is made by our amiable witnesses.
Yes STEEM is evolving everyday! So many innovations yet to be build and so many user friendly app will be released soon. I'm very excited and we must be patient for 2-3 years and contribute what we can.

I loved facebook as it was a medium to reunite long lost friends. Personally i dont really have real friends so most of the friends i had is via facebook and my girlfriend now i met her on facebook and we are still happy 1.6years later.
In respect to value added. I don't really know about others but the platform was not adding to me financially or intellectually. It was just a place people go to live a fake life, fake smile and fake everything.

Playing Facebook is part of a growing world. Humans are social beings, and with its various features, Facebook makes it easy. People can more easily make new friends, get to know new friends, at home or abroad.
With Facebook, I do not feel alone anymore. There are many online friends who are ready to talk, tell stories, or just joke with me.

I'm using Facebook for a couple of reasons, the main one being that I am home bound and Facebook allows me a place to interact with friends and family in a single arena. It allows me to interact and “participate” in their lives even though i am physically unable to be with them, wherever they may be.
Also, because I am a shut-in, I play a lot of “social” games, games that depend on friends and “neighbours” to complete goals. Facebook, is the only place that offers some of these games (8ball 🎱 , for example) and, having met and becoming friends with some of my co-gamers nearly five years ago, they have become very important to me. Our friendships have developed far beyond the constraints of the gaming world and they have become very real friends – friends that, often times, will notice my absence way before family or so called “real life” friends.
There is another reason , it is more secure and widely accepted way to keep up this same sort interaction with those people that make a difference in my life, I will remain on Facebook, guard myself and my life as diligently as possible. im saying this before I joined steemit.

Hello @nathanmars, I have used a lot social media apps and I have to say this, that steemit is way above any of them.
Well my favorite before steemit is a bit difficult, as I never was so active on any of them.
I will say Twitter and Instagram both of them are better than other social media.
Instagram allows you access to photos and videos from many different people and also it gives you an open ground to look for people who have similar interest. And facebook can only show things about people you follow.
Although Twitter is a whole different story.

I likeed Instagram and youtube before steemit. I didn't use Insta for money though. On instagram I liked to see photos of my favorite people and on youtube I like watching various videos like how to, some web series, workouts, yoga, mediation and sometimes various lectures on different things from IT to religion. Youtube is my all time favorite. :D

To me I find facebook having very many users compared to the rest of the apps and it is much more affordable compared to the rest. It takes less data and so if someone is a low income earner and can't afford data they would rather facebook. So it having a lot of people, I basically use it for advertising my personal stuff. Am a business lady that sells bags and I use facebook to advertise my products. Then the other reason why facebook is my best, it is much easier for one to find their old friends on facebook than it is on other social media platforms. Again facebook summarizes all the other activities of other apps for example you can post pictures and videos just like you tube and instagram. You can do a lot. Facebook also is a social media platform for everyone, what do I mean, it can be used by different age groups unlike most of the rest. I think I have said it all, to me facebook takes it all. Both social medias for me connect around the world friends. I known some world wide naturalize places via their posts of FB. Also I looked naturalize safari, animals, forests etc... videos who's uploaded youtube. I'm a big nature lover in this platform and I love to read and watch naturalize once. For my objectives was most useful both media parties.
But now, I know the most popular and valuable media platform is steemit. It creating opportunities for us, earn rewards, meeting best peoples around the world and letting know cryptocurrency markets. Thank you for giving opportunity to tell my ideas.

Hi @nathanmars before steemit I was so addicted to facebook because I was selling ladies bags and I did not have a location so with facebook I would run free Ads on the buy and sell groups and reach a huge community since most of the Ugandans are on facebook .Though when I got steemit I rarely do visit facebook like once in a month

-It was helping me connect to my friends of course
-To share moments and feel a connection with their lives
-To instant messaging to anyone whom i didnt know any other contact of.
Steemit came and it has changed me:
-I like to interact more with unknown people who give valuable and positive input
-Instead of getting fake likes and comments just because you are their friends.
-Even though it is good to get them, but feeling like people who only know you from your words, matter more :)

When I came to steemit before I used most of Facebook. It connected me world wide friends with awesome places, awesome videos included. And with chatting improved my English knowledge. Also my husband went Dubai those days, I have to connected with him without massive IDD rates and could be video calling. I loss my past colleges friends after finished my school journey. Because facebook media I could had keep affair them better and I had opportunity to attended their big moments.

Before Steemit came to the scene or more appropriately before I came to the Steemit scene the most frequented and used website for me was YouTube.
YouTube - I feel like it is the most convenient video archive ever created in the digital history by mankind. I could have said the biggest but I will go with convenient. The truth is that it still is.
I have never been on Facebook, twitter, Instagram, rss.......etc. but I will freely admit that there is no moving away from YouTube for me. It is not just about casual fun - I am an academic, an entrepreneur and a researcher and I find that YouTube serves me well in my work and as well my private life.
Blockchain based video platforms have a long way to go before they can stand at par with YouTube.

Before I find steemit, my best social media app was facebook for all of the following reasons.
It is very easy to use... I opened my first facebook account when I knew nothing about internet. Facebook was the one that created the passion to develop myself on internet in me. I don't need anybody's service to do this successfully, I learnt it on my own with facebook.
It's a place where I made friends and hooked up with friends... I lost connection with some of my secondary school friends over 10 years ago after graduating from school. But, with facebook I've been able to connect with some of them. I've made some amazing new friends on facebook as well
I browse through facebook for inspiration..... Though, what you see on facebook might not be one hundred percent true. But, each time I check, I see pictures I see posts that are enough to motivate me to keep going, I think that's all I need.
It helped me to keep some of my important pictures.... Each time I take pictures that are precious to me, I posted them on facebook so as to keep them forever. The other time I celebrated my birthday, I visited my facebook account to retrieve some of this pictures... It was great having those pictures intact
My writing skills was tested..... I was operating two pages on facebook where I write consistently. In fact, I used the name of one of the page to open my first steemit account @emmakwisequote, though, I've lost key into that account now..
If I do all that on facebook and enjoyed it without any monetary reward, no wonder I am well motivated to give steemit my all. Smile

Since am a photographer and painter I shared every artwork of mine there but it was of no use because I hardly ever was able to make my name.I had value to share with others but it was not reaching the masses and to do that fb asks you money for promotion.
Then I came across steemit and my life changed .I met people who are talented as hell just like you , trying and hustling to share their knowledge and also getting rewarded for the same.My knowledge is respected here and am still learning from you and many others and taking that in mind I write everyday.

I was never really a social media person but if given a choice, i would pick facebook. It was a way to keep in touch with friends and connect with new ones. I could keep up to speed on happenings in my friends' and family life. I met new people too.

Before coming to Steemit I usually use facebook and instagram to communicate with friends. In particular, when I go to school away from home, I often call home videos, so my family can be assured where I live and study.

i'm a satellitedish installer in real life. i learn so muvh about satellitedish on Facebook. there are so many group satellitedish in Facebook. i join the groups and make friend with so many talented person of satellitedish.
i also help new comer to the group. because i relize. i was like him before. i know how is it feel if no one answer whrn you ask something.

For me, I was not really a social media frick, so I was just active on Facebook among all other social media platform.
One major value Facebook offered me for my time and data was the value of keeping me informed and updated of happenings around me and my neighbourhood.
I normally dont have time to read news or discuss the trend of things in the society with people but going through my facebook feed I get these updates and trend.
From Facebook I could see the latest happenings with friends and family, from their updates and pictures I can relate with their present state and activities.
Through facebook, i do hook up with friends and also reunited with lost friends. I also get to make new friends and meet certain people.
Facebook was one of the best.
Let’s make Steem based Dapps better than Facebook.

I had an indecisive because I have a favorite but others have given me better contributions as a user. My favorite is instagram, because here I can share important moments of my life. Well, fummy enough, before steemit, my best was facebook
I know many are of the opinion that facebool is outdated and has become total crap but the truth is. Facebool has a way of reuniting people and making you keep friends for a longer time without loosing gheir contacts.
Facebook os obviously a slow social media app in the sense that, it shows new when it has already trended and gone. Its not as current and fast as twitter or instagram in showing trending news but it still shows it anyways.
I am quite a stereotyped individual who hardly tries out new things, and this coukd be the reason why i havent tried out twitter or instagram till date. I just love my facebook and stick to it because it still gives me the information i need, links me up with old and forgotten friends and at the same time, very easy to use.
Anyways, steemit came along and changed all that. I rarely go to facebook these days unless once in a while.

As for instagram i've not been a fan since day one but i still have an account with them. People share pictures of what they are not "happy" what they don't have "luxury"

To be honest my favourite social application is facebook(fb) before i known to steemit for the below two reasons-
1)Interconnecting the world and making it easy to reach one another.
2)By giving an opportunity to know each other from different locations ot the world and also providing them a platform to communicate.

facebook was my best social platform before the arrival of our dear @steemit. i so much create interest in facebook then because i see as a platform to connect with people all over the world, i have been able to locate many of my child hood friends through facebook, i read news through face book and enjoy myself by looking at people's pictures and lots of awesome post by great people. i also express my feelings and some motivational article to help some discouraged people.
but since ever steemit came to us, it has replace the value of facebook and now i addicted to steemit. steemit is now my no1 love. long live steemit. thanks for this @nathanmars
