Krumov Airport is located in Plovdiv. It can also be called "Plovdiv Annals." By the way, the Sofia airport is called "Enmity".
Krumov is located 10 km southeast of Plovdiv itself and 130 km from Sofia. A kilometer from the airport is the railway station of the Plovdiv-Asenovgrad line. For accuracy, I’ll say that the Bulgarians call it Letishte “Krumov” because it is located at: Plovdiv Region, Rhodope Community, Krumovo Village.
Charters fly to Plovdiv - this is the airport which is also regularly hosted by skiers, because from Plovdiv it is only 60 km to Pamporovo and 90 to Borovets. To get to Bansko it is better to fly to Sofia. Also from Plovdiv it is very convenient to get to the balneological resorts, which are located within a radius of 50 km from it: Hisar, Pavel Banya and Narechen.
Plovdiv Airport is very small, but modern, clean, beautiful and comfortable. There is even a church - on the second level of the waiting room.
The airport is designed to serve 1,000 passengers per hour. There is free parking for 50 cars and 20 buses. This airport is used as a reserve in case of adverse weather conditions - it is equally convenient to get from it to the coast and to Sofia, and besides, everything is provided for emergency meetings.
And they also make films here😊 After all, this is the most unloaded airport terminal in Bulgaria.
One or two aircraft can fly here a day.
Passengers themselves go across the field to the station to pass passport control. This, by the way, is even good. Firstly, there are no lines and secondly, suitcases very quickly appear on the tape. Unfortunately, there is no duty free. But personally, I am not fond of such things, so I do not care.
If you arrived early in the morning, then there may not be a single taxi in the parking lot - they are still sleeping. In the hall there is a stand with a telephone of the taxi service, Vialet, you can call there. I do not recommend using the airport security services for this - they will call their brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and so on, and he will definitely heat you up. A trip from the airport to Plovdiv should cost no more than 12 levs (6 euros). On the counter there will be, in general, 10 levs (5 euros), but a rare taxi driver will tell the Russian tourist the real amount. Especially in poor Plovdiv, where planes fly so rarely, and even then in season.
The planes of Bulgaria Air company fly exactly to Sofia, and Siberian Airlines and others fly to Plovdiv.
All these autumn photos were taken by me personally.
