Anyway, some of the things may be a bit controversial what I may be talking about in this video, but figured I get some gears going potentially with it. I need to emphasize that I'm not "into" downvoting, it's the last thing I like to do so hopefully that's not going to be the focus of what I'm trying to talk about here for the future of Hive and how I see things potentially going with mainstream adoption.

I get a bunch of those scam ads too... One pretending to sell X tokens is right now all over my feed.
Entitlement is a thing here, always has been. But you know, Medium is not any different. I recently opened an account there. I'm trying to sneak links back to here. I see the same complaining. (Why is nobody clapping my stuff) - It's a human issue.
Its very true, you can post anything in here. But also, if you post something a lil toooo cray cray, you will get downvoted. Antivax content gets squashed. I'm ok with this happening btw, because in the end making money is not a guarantee, but I find it to be an important piece of information to divulge when inviting someone here.
As you know, I fully believe Blogs won't be "a thing" very much longer. But I'm also sure there will be survivors, so to speak, that will be a lot bigger than they are now. Meaning, when this takes off, maybe users like tarazkp will be the Mr Beast equivalent on here of blogging (whatever that means), and everyone else making pennies a month.

and yeah, honestly I wouldn't even want that kind of conspiracy stuff downvoted fully to 0, it's enough that it gets some adjustment since some people, I assume from the early days, like to overreward it. It's enough it gets some downvotes so people at least understand that hey this is probably a bit controversial - that said I haven't even downvoted those for the content in my years, it was mostly about the lack of attempting to grow their audience here or bring their followers here. Value4value basically, I saw none coming in just a lot of stake going out.
And yeah, if we can't get people to join, maybe we should make an effort to try get a voice out there (I've tried on X of course, had close to 0 followers before I started and only started cause of the chain but not so hopeful about its future any longer). Have some plans on how to help our hivers content out there get some more traction and earn some rewards for it here as well to be announced shortly.
I'm trying to sneak links to hive from medium. Dunno if it will work, but I'm trying.

Hive is still like that first 2 years of YouTube. No one big there, everyone just having fun, talking about whatever they wanted to, just there to make some friends and get their thoughts out in video format.
That's why I'm on Hive, just to make a few friends and keep up with them and what they're up to. I stopped caring about post rewards after the first few weeks here. I'm not much of a writer even though I was a "blogger" before I came here. I do like to promote to whatever extent I can some of what I like on YouTube for others to see, like YouTube vloggers back in the day, and mostly YouTube music videos these days.
Blogging is a niche thing, most people don't care much for it. But I think it will be around a long time. Hive may gain more users but as we know, most of the people using the blockchain will be for gaming (Splinterlands was using the chain more than writers at its peak), or maybe other new uses we don't even know about yet. I'm fine with Hive staying small. There's only a certain number of people one can keep up with anyway. Being here since the start, it takes me an hour every day to read posts in my feed, decide to vote or not, comment or not, and write one simple post myself.
But whatever happens, I'll probably still be here. I'm coming up on 9 years, and it's been fun and educational. I'll be an Orca any day now, and that was my goal. Happy to almost be there. I'll just keep doing what I do.
I thought you did well on your first video on this new channel. The audio seems a little low, but aside from that, everything was good. Nice to hear a vlog from you which reminds me of the old days when that was most of YouTube, just people putting their thoughts out there in video form. Good luck with your channel!

it's true tough that it's hard to catch all people interests in hive, we have good food, photo, finance stuff but lacks the rest, for example there's no community to talk about news/geopolitics from the world which is something i like... so yea we would need some more different communities with someone willing to spend time on it

El mundo y la sociedad son algo extraños, yo poco Hago publicaciones escritas en Hive pues no tengo mucha suerte con ellas, por eso mi nicho es la música , pues en mi país no se puede dar uno el lujo de invertir tiempo solo por diversión, la economía es salvaje y la inflación nos tiene presos en modo supervivencia.
