It’s a dark and wet vlog this week and we head back into the Tesla for an evening vlog. With a crippling work load of big orders the last week has been manic and fitting in time for the vlog has just not been there.
It’s all good business of course, shipping loads of roasted coffee both locally and across the country, but the green has to come in first to be roasted and co-ordinating mass deliveries of 5 pallets last week, and two this week can be hard going when you have to lump the 60kg sacks around before you even start dosing it out to roast.
So all go at work and now it is full throttle into what is always the busy period in the run up to Christmas, so much to do and so little time.
Over on Hive the UK meet-up went well and brought up some interesting ideas which I still have to work on - only my actual job is kind of holding that back for now. My Hive Engine witness has been bouncing up and down the ranks as big voters start replacing the votes taken away by the new vote - decay - where if no voting action takes place for a period of six months the votes are removed and have to be replaced. I’m having to dig deep and garner more votes where I can, which is why on my Hive post you will find a extra snippet on Hive Engine Witness voting.
Voting Hive Engine Witnesses explained
While everyone is using Hive Engine all the time to keep track of and trade their variety of community and other tokens, not everyone realises it is running off a side chain with it's own Witnesses to vote. The Governance token on Hive Engine is Workerbee - and you have to own staked Workerbee to influence a Witnesses rank. Anyone can of course vote for Hive Engine Witnesses - and they well get a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing they have your vote - even if you have zero Workerbee to raise their rank.
One reason you might want to consider buying and staking Workerbee is because there is a lottery for Bee mining rewards - so staked Workerbee holders will get random 1 Bee rewards just for staking the token - and they quickly add up. The more you have staked, the more likely and often you will get the reward - so just buying and staking 1 Workerbee will not get you the 1 Bee mining rewards very often.
When you have staked Workerbee you can head over to tribaldex.com and log in with Keychain, select the Witnesses tab and start voting. Red X means you already vote that witness - but you can click it to unvote them. Blue ticks mean you do not vote for that Witness - and you can click that to vote them. Obviously there are a wide range of Witnesses to choose from, and you have to make your own choice on which of them to support.
Of course I would really appreciate anyone considering my Witness for a vote, I run two Hive Engine Witness nodes which of course incur server costs for each, plus I keep upto date with developments in the code and always quickly update to newer versions. When combined with all the servers I run for Hive with two Witnesses nodes running, back up servers, Full API node for Hive - supporting the Hive ecosystem is costly and any rewards contribute to those costs - so any votes will help if you have them spare.

This is completly new for me, I didn't know this existed, I learned about the Peakd witness side but not the workabee stuff.

It's quite complicated to work out for sure, basically hive-engine was set up as a side chain to handle the communities side and their respective tokens - it works side by side with Hive and the rounds a Witness generates (which is a block of Hive-Engine transactions) are posted to Hive blockchain as a secondary layer of confirmation. But it also has it's own Witnesses running it's specific code and blockchain database - and they can be voted for. But to be honest hardly anyone knows about it, and even less have staked workerbee - so getting votes and position is an uphill struggle. Thanks for the support as always.
