#WednesdayWalk by @tattoodjay challenges us to go for a short walk and see what we can see.
Apart from the beaver family that has recently moved into my neighborhood, there is not much that is exciting going on around here to take photos of these days!
Sections of the river have a thin coat of ice, and everything is bare and brown. There are still fallen leaves on the ground that are not yet covered in snow, although the weather forecast is predicting that we will get some snow tomorrow.
Up on top of the hill at my daughter's house they had a beautiful frosty morning.
But down here in the river valley I had to look much more closely to find a bit of frost. It always amazes me how different the weather can be just in that drive up a rather small hill!
It will be nice to have a bit of snow to give everyone a White Wisconsin Christmas!

They have now changed our forecast to rain. Wouldn't you know! The one time of year that I would love to have snow.
Same here, unfortunately. Freezing drizzle and rain 🌧️☔ and if it's below 0 at night, then ice skating ⛸️ in the morning. Orthopedic surgeons are going to be really busy.

Buenos días mi amiga @melinda010100 deseo que se encuentre bien al igual que su familia . Donde usted vive hace demás de frío amiga yo estando allí no soportaría el frío , ya que donde yo vivo el clima es caliente entre 28° a 35° , en diciembre es un poquito más frío porque la mayoría de los diciembre hay lluvia deseo que tenga un hermoso día .
It is so different here with the changing seasons. It is fun to watch Mother Nature in all her different moods!
Brrr looks so cold and yet still is so beautiful, it amazes me how a short trip up or down a hill can change the feel and climate so much Mother natures is amazing when you think about it

I love seeing them all as well, I remember when I visited my Brother down South in New Zealand one year, we had a real extreme experience eof that, we down the road about 20 Minutes from him, was a lake frozen over and people were ice skating onit, a further 20 Minute drive down to the coast and there was a lake which people were swimming in, it was a little cold for me but wow such a change in a relatively short distance
Wow! That is an extreme difference. It is not nearly that dramatic here. The differences are much more subtle, but still fun to see.
I was only maybe 14 at the time but I still remember it so well, where i grew up we didnt get snow or heavy ice and the changes from one to the other amazed me so much it is locked in my memory banks
That would be an incredible experience. Did you experience any earthquakes when you were living there?
Ohh yes New Zealand has lots of them, many you dont feel but plenty that you do its just part of the way of life there, I felt some bigger ones, my Dad used to freak out, well thats not the right term, just be concerned if it was a big one at night and wake us all up to make sure we were OK, used to annoy me at the time if I was happily sleeping LOL

My opinion is that winter is best observed through the window! I am not a fan of cold.
That makes the two of us. :-)

Thankfully, no. Temperature in the tropics range between 26C to 34C all year round except the year end, and the beginning of the year when it could go down to 22 C.
So you have no need for a down coat and a closet full of mittens and boots? 😀 As much as I complain about the cold and the lack of sunshine during the winter, I do enjoy the changing seasons.
Nope. No Winter clothing needed. Changing seasons is something we don't get to see.
The frost added a lovely texture to the leaves. You don’t have the snow we were gifted with the last few days.
I'm sad that they have now changed our forecast to rain. I may still be dreaming of a white Christmas.
The weather is really erratic. Now the forecast is rain and warm weather in a couple days... our big snowfall may be gone by Christmas Day.
And we will probably both have snow up to the roof in March when we don't want any!

I am not certain what type of leaf this is either! Possibly it is Viburnum There are so many different kinds of trees in my woods that it is sometimes hard to identify which tree the leaves came from.

Ready for Christmas, the tree and lights are up, stockings are hung with care. Gifts are simple just us. Did get grandchildren one thing. Very distracted these days. Will be back to posting again soon. Just taking a break from many things currently.

Has the new nurse ever gotten started with Abbi? My family will all be here on the Saturday before New Year's and stay for 4 days then. So I have an entire week to prepare for Christmas yet. I just started wrapping gifts today and actually I still have a few more that I need to order. I do want to do a little baking but that can wait until next week!
No nurse yet the service is always teasing us about sending a nurse. I get less hope on that every day. Sad to say.
My boys are coming over the 29th for a gathering. We will eat together and that will be fun. That will be the gift this year. Everyone brings a dish and we visit while enjoying the meal.
This week I had my 4 year old grandson. Today his sister joined him here so mom and dad could have an adult night out. They both go home Saturday. Watching a movie right now with them.

No me gusta nada el frío. Es mucho mejor mirar la nieve a través de la ventana de la casa y no salir por ella. Pero tampoco me fue bien en calor extremo. La primavera y el otoño son mis estaciones favoritas.

Ha! Thanks! Lots of muted tones in my photos right now. I can't see any major evidence of dam building, but I am starting to see changes in the water flow. It makes me suspect that things are being built underneath the water that I can't see yet.
hey Melinda, it's going to be very interesting to see if they start building something above the water that you can take pictures of the progress! And I'm sure they will if they stay there.
If we get any snow I won't be able to get down there close enough to take photos very regularly! I might have to commandeer a grandkid! It's a good thing that they are good photographers.

We don't get that sort of frost very often but when we do it is gorgeous! I wish I could have driven out through the countryside, but by the time I could have arranged it, it was gone.
