RE: Leg Godt (Lego)

My knee issues aren't serious so I wont need surgery anytime soon as far as I know. Actually, I just looked up what patellar tendonitis is and it sounds very much like what I am experiencing. I don't know for sure but it seems to come and go. I generally get a quick pain right in that particular tendon when I take off running, especially after sitting a long time without stretching, or if I try to jump. I try to stretch more and strengthen the muscles around the knee and avoid sudden movements. Those seem to help a lot.

Sort:

Yes, my pain comes and goes too. Same, sudden movement, climbing downstairs, and after sitting or sleeping is when I feel it most.
I save all my aerobic exercises for the pool. Aqua aerobics does wonders for my knees and cardio. I particularly like doing exercises in water because it's low impact. I could jog and jump around in a pool for one hour and feel no pain during, or after. However, if I suddenly jump or run on a hard surface, I'll be out of action for a few weeks, from crippling pain.
Have you ever tried pool exercises (not just swimming, but full aerobics)?
It was my girlfriend from The Netherlands who had recommended that I try pool exercises when she came to visit me in the Philippines, and I've never looked back. Toning happens fast, and I particularly like that you gain long muscles instead of short muscles (compared to cycling or weightlifting)😁

I haven't tried water aerobics but I can imagine that it would be a great way to exercise. My knees have never been in "crippling pain" yet so I'm thinking my issue is minor at this point. Still, I'll keep water exercises in mind for sure.
