RE: How to Solve a Rubix Cube

in Hive Diy2 years ago

Haha yeah. Remind me never to do a post like this again. I figured it would be a quick post of the algorithms but then I realized that some explanation was required for true beginners.
2000 words and however many edited photos later and I'm like "why am I doing this again?" 🤣

Actually it was fun and I needed to jog my memory on how to solve the cube so it was worth it.

No rush or obligation to read it, but hopefully it's helpful.

It's the same way! Almost.

I have just gone through it and we do it the same way although the names of the algorithms are different but they are the same ones. Also when I do it I start with a "Daisy" yellow in middle with white petals thing sometimes. But aye! Magic man, I am impressed at your explaining power. This took some graft!

Yeah there are a lot of different algorithms but I think the beginners ones are mostly the same. I've heard of people doing the daisy method but have never tried it myself.

I read once that it took the person who invented the cube over a month to solve his own creation. I thought that was hilarious 😂. I guess the algorithms hadn't been discovered at that point 🤣

Hahahah, can you imagine how frustrating that would be to create something then be flummoxed by it. He needed a cocky 12 year old nearby to pick it up for ten minutes and just start solving it behind his back or something!

Lmao 😂
That's so true.
