RE: A Hot Air Balloon Ride Adventure in the Arabian Desert

That's so cool that you did that. Check that off the bucket list. It's a really neat place as well especially if you saw those animals. The petrol part of the story would be a bit stressful. It's good that there was a station before you ran out. That wouldn't have been fun. I actually had a balloon ride booked at one point years ago, but it was canceled the day of because of weather and I was never able to rebook it. The company refused to give me a refund because their policy stated that they don't give refunds. So that sucked. I lost like $600 or something like that.

The oryxes, camels, and gazelles were so fascinating to watch from the sky. I saw them once up close when I traveled to this area by land.

I didn't factor in the weather but sorry to hear that, that's unfair and that's a lot of money 😱

I didn't think about it before but yes, the upside to doing it in Dubai, the weather is predictable, since it only rains 3 times a year. Early mornings are ideal because of the wind conditions although it's not recommended during summer. It gets very hot and humid.

Yes, I think predictable weather is key for balloon rides. So Dubai would be good for that
