It’s been a while since I did my first photo dump, and I thought it was time for another. Rather than spend an entire weekend, trying to organize my photos, I think it’ll be better to do it little bit little. As I go through the photos I can share some of them and tell some stories about my life. Some will be interesting, and others mundane but I hope the variety will at least be worth it.
It was about a year ago when I started making short videos to accompany my music. I had already gathered a bunch of footage from my experiments with vlogs and had a bunch of songs that I thought i could fit with the footage, plus i wanted to see if i could succees in making something impactful in some way.
The first image is of cherry blossoms on the river, and the next is Awaodori festival, a festival that started in Tokushima, but has become popular in Tokyo recently. There’s so many moments in my life that I feel others would really enjoy but its hard to preserve the beauty of them and show them in a way that people will actually even notice.
Above is a look through the editing process of such videos. Below is the analytics from YouTube. Those are actually analytics from another channel, where I was focused on Vlogs later I decided that since I was more passionate about music, I should put my video editing efforts into sharing my music more.
I do hope to make more Vlogs in the future, but music is definitely more of a priority for me. If you want to hear my music, I have an EP up on Spotify. I hope to make something a little more polished this year.
Above is the rough draft of an advertisement for our pop-up restaurant. We only did it once, but I hope to start doing it every month soon it was a lot of effort, but I think we could learn to get into a good rhythm, we definitely have to set a finishing time. Most people there like to stay out till morning, but we’d like to finish around 2:30 AM so we can get some sleep.
Below some food that @tentententen cooked for me. She’s got a very unique style, but almost everything is tasty.
Below is my favorite album title of all time. The music is pretty good, but I’m not sure anything could match up to that title, “start a people”. I have no idea why I saved this on my phone.
I’m not sure why saved a picture of this, but I guess I was showing people where they could find my novel series to buy without any middleman. Heres the link or if you wanna buy it with hive check it on hivelist
Below it’s just a really cool Latern I saw in front of Izakaya. And Izakaya is a Japanese bar that is just as much of a restaurant. Most people drink and eat and it’s not so common to find someone who’s there just for one or the other.
Above is a really beautiful Latin expression. I was actually introduced to it by Mandarin singing band, Doudou, who used it as the English title for this song. Below is Justin an image of my first music video. Link to it at the bottom.
More video editing. I made a lot of videos in the last year or two nothing really picked up traction on the algorithms because it’s not meant to be super catchy, it’s more meant to express things honestly and in a way that challenged me.
Above us from a concert, we went to a few months ago. The band was Gezan, probably one of the best Japanese live bands I’ve seen. Below is just a random ass picture I found on my phone. My phone is full of stuff like this, things that I feel slightly embarrassed to share, but not really too embarrased to share in the end.
Above is from when we had our studio in Xiamen. Our studio was a little slice of heaven. We’ve been trying really hard to build something like it in or near Tokyo, but it hasn’t proved easy. Everything costs more and more, and people‘s attention has spread thinner and thinner. We’re making progress though. We made the account @tentententen our business presence on Hive.
