RE: AI Must DIE!

in #lifelast year (edited)

You could never say you have zero fucks to give on this topic! Lol. Some kid did create an app to detect essays written by AI but the tech is advancing so quickly we soon won't be able to discern it from human-written text. This scares the complete shit out of me as a writer. Soon, the only way you'll be able to truly determine will be if the author had material written before AI hit mainstream.

Some companies are already using it in the place of hiring freelance or staff writers. What will we lowly humans do when the bots and AI take all of our jobs? Sit around eating bonbons, collecting UBI?

Sort:

I read a really cool article on how they work and they essentially construct sentences word by word with a list of words that most often follow one other which is why they sound so fluid but it is also a failing in that they rarely say something tangential.

But yes, this is only really the beginning and the advances they make will make it nigh on impossible to detect.

I think UBI might be our only fall back! As long as there was that Icould live the life of a bonbon eater! :OD

It'll be very interesting to see where it's all headed. Unless the governments of the world impose some limits on how many robots/AI can take human jobs then UBI will be the only solution that I can imagine. Here in the US the situation will have to be dire before the government allows UBI and then the government will debate it for years. Lol. Unless some sweeping change happens over here Europe will probably have UBI a full decade before us.

There is certainly a groundswell of people talking about it over this side of the pond.

I can see spreading. In some cases I find myself wishing that people would use it in my work. It would at least be legible!
