THE MISSION
I announced the concept of this Facebook "recruit mission" about a month ago and the applicants who are worth their weight (ie. not spammers or shit posters) are starting to trickle in. ( If you are unfamiliar with the details of this endeavor, please read the details outlined further down in this post. ) It is a process which is proving to be a lot slower than initially anticipated because I am not prepared to pour resource and energy into any "chancers" who are just out to enjoy a one dollar spotlight. So, sifting through, connecting with, informing and establishing said individuals is keeping me busy haha! Most of them are completely unfamiliar with blockchain technology, discord and all the rest of what we look upon as regular stuff like brushing our teeth lol. But trickling in they are.
THE PROBLEM
The first reality I have been faced with is the whole resource credits issue. As an example - one of the first recruits made her first post, had (last time I checked) 108 comments on it and could not respond or engage with ANYONE!!!!
This poses a REAL problem to the individuals that I am bringing over to #STEEM - as these are not "randoms" I picked up off some street corner - no, they are established bloggers who do this as their full time passion and/or income - so kicking off, and then suddenly being faced with the reality that they can well.... DO NOTHING... is not exactly going to steer them in the general direction of sticking around lol!
THE SOLUTION & APPEAL
So, I would like to appeal to ANYBODY that would be willing to get involved with short term delegations (2 weeks +) to these individuals as and when they enter my steem recruits server. It does not have to be anything grand! (50SP+) Just enough to afford them the opportunity to engage and post freely as new and enthusiastic members of our platform while they find their feet and build up SP of their own - which has and will be assisted greatly by me directly as well as my #powerhousecreatives (aka @steemitbloggers) community in terms of upvotes and resteems.

If you are interested in getting involved, then I would like to request that you hop on to the recruits discord server, ignore the "noob messages and instructions" and head straight over to the #general-chat channel, tag me in a chat re. delegation and then I will add you to the closed #delegators channel.

THE 20K RECRUIT INSPIRATION
A few years ago when I was still editor for my online e-mag and blogging independently – long before I ever knew that Steem or Steemit existed (in fact, I don’t actually think it did back then), I began joining blogging groups on FB so that I could connect with other bloggers and find writers for magazine content etc. I discovered quickly that most of these group admins were incredibly rigid in their approach and many of the group members were not very happy. I ran into a LOT of resistance when I began to challenge that publicly… but I did – and despite the negative opinions of other group heads, I decided to launch my own group. People loved the idea of being afforded more freedom to share their blog content and/or questions etc. and this group is now the largest blogging group on FB with just shy of 25 000 bloggers. 90% of these people are all LEGITIMATE, WELL-ESTABLISHED, INTERNATIONAL lifestyle, beauty, fashion, health, parenting and “other” bloggers…
And I am going to make it my MISSION now, to start bringing this enormously diverse group of bloggers over to Steemit so they can start earning Steem. Initially, they will be assisted by @bluemist (AKA – the owner of @appreciator) to setup their account immediately at no charge, so they will have instant access to the platform. And a quick and BIG thank you for this, it makes a HUGE difference that they can jump onboard immediately at no cost.
Once that is taken care of, they will be invited to hop on to the Steem Terminal which is a “Steemit ENTRY Point Server” (the brainchild of @xcountytravelers) and run by some of the platforms most HELPFUL GEMS – who are all there to assist newcomers with pretty much anything and everything they may need to know when joining.
After they are relatively familiarised with the platform and are keen to stick around - they will be invited to join our #PowerHouseCreatives (previously @steemitbloggers community) so that we can embrace them into a truly passionate and dedicated community that will help them to establish an grow themselves alongside all of us! Having our community to stand by them as they start their Steem journey will obviously assist them enormously, but I would also like to appeal to anyone who may be interested in possibly delegating a small amount of SP to them perhaps for their first two months or so… nothing massive, perhaps 50SP just so they can actively engage on a regular basis. So if any of you would be willing and able to do such, please let me know in the comments of this post so that we can connect when the time arrives.

Thank you xxx! MUCH appreciated! The delegations will be short term but the recruits will be ongoing so if you are willing and able then please hop on to the server mentioned above. I am trying to rally willing delegators into one spot so I can "shout" when needed and then hopefully one person is around to assist. :)

The folks I recruit are not too many but it does make sense to delegate them enough to have the resource credits to actually transact.

Agreed! And whilst I thought of pretty everything else... that was the one issue I ran into shortly after opening the doors to my first two recruits. haha... So I figured best I sort that out before continuing.
@jaynie you are an exceptional leader - thinking of others, guiding transition, and involving community to bolster stronger engagement! I love it! I’ve never delegated before, but this would be an endeavor I’d consider. Beyond that - if I can help in the Discord #delegators channel, I will.

I think although steem does have its problems the benefits massively outweigh them. I personally think that steemit.inc should work on the RC credit issue as it is a big detriment to new users... but on the flip side, it did stop the crazy levels of spam we used to see on here.
I wonder if it could be possible for steemit.inc to loan SP to new users and use some type of AI algorithm to monitor their behaviour in regards to spam and vote farming etc. In this scenario they could take back delegated SP from people trying to abuse the system.

hehehe I actually DID see it and was not in any way upset about it @raj808 lol - I have just had my hands so ridiculously full in the last week with so MANY things that I am only coming to reply to comments on this post now. haha. I completely agree with you regarding the elimination of spam re. the whole RC issue. For people like myself who don't HAVE that issue... it is "enjoyable", but to those "genuines" out there that do not sit quite as comfortably, I would imagine it is quite a turn off... so hopefully these short term delegations from all these amazing people, will alleviate a little bit of that! :)

I'm good to cover a few more along the way too. The one thing I would say is to maybe structure your delegators a bit better. I can see from the first one that a few people have sponsored the same person to over 215sp which is a bit of overkill. If you intend to bring in a lot it would probably be good planning to get each person on a different newbie and build from there. Spread the resources as far as possible.

Agreed. That was why I did this post, so that I can get all the potential delegators into one channel on the server. That way I can contact them all in one place when the need arises.
I think we should all do as much as we can to support new Steemians, especially if they show a bona fide interest in adding to the quality pool.

If a person doesn't want to invest 20 Euro or Dollars to join I don't care.
Let them stay on FB or YT.
But they usually have money for a manicure, cigarettes, movie tickets...
I don't feel sorry for them and I wouldn't waste your time if you ask me.
Getting fiat into crypto can be a massive pain and take a long time, particularly if they want to remain anonymous.
I think it needs to be remembered that the"crypto concept" is still entirely foreign to a lot of people. So many of the individuals I have encountered so far have no idea what crypto currency is, let alone #STEEM!!!!!!! So I think it is a little harsh to "blanket" people like that. The fault falls on US as members of this community if you ask me.... because nowhere near enough has been done to promote it.
Pretty much EXACTLY what @theycallmedan did a post on just the other day...
I often run into debate with people over this because those who are in the "know" seem to walk around with this almost arrogant attitude of "expectancy" toward everyone else that is less clued up and to my mind, if your attitude is focused on the growth of a project, then your mindset should be a lot more inclusive. You need to be willing to inform and educate. You need to be willing to train and assist. Essentially... you need to be willing to be accepting of the fact that NOT everybody will know nor grasp things quite as easily as the next and you need to be willing to go the extra mile in order to change that for them - which will in turn, ultimately afford them the opportunity to do the EXACT same thing for someone else in the road ahead.
If my brother had never told me about #steem, I would still be one of these "waste of times" that you just referred to... and I would like to consider myself a long way from there now... and I would hope that everyone else here reserves the same kind of perspective when it comes to the people who have "yet to arrive".
You have a lot to learn in life and on steemit. I'm here two years an a half and I saw it all.
I bring friends and family on steemit. I supported them when my upvote was 30 bucks. Most of them are gone.
I find many newbies and upvoted them for months. A lot of them cashed out and diapered. I supported many projects on steemit, spent my steem and bought their coins. They all gone.
I preached about steemit and people bought steem at 5bucks or even higher. Now they're angry at me.
I could go on and on, but like I said. You need to dig deeper and learn.
But at the end we're all entitled to our own opinions, right?

I've been working on an automated solution to this, giftgiver.me. You can put your name in and get a 30k VESTs delegation for 2 days, and can do it weekly. Working on making it so others can integrate it with their dapps. And then need a ton more SP. As long as @giftgiver has at least 15 sp on hand, you can try using it by going to the site.

@jaynie... I would Love to help out with this initiative. When another worthy newbie recruit is in need, Please DM me their info. I would be willing to delegate. I know how hard it was. It is easy to loose potentially awesome steemers due to the potential their interest is lost from throttling genuine interaction attempts.
