Two Events, One Long-Term Strategy

This proposal outlines a multi-year community integration model designed to drive
sustainable Hive onboarding, blockchain education, and HBD utility through two coordinated cornerstone events hosted in Williston, North Dakota.
Williston is a booming small city of roughly 30,000 residents located in the Bakken oil region of northwest North Dakota. It has experienced major population growth over the past decade, fueled by energy jobs and local investment. The town is filled with family-run businesses, close-knit civic pride, and minimal presence from large corporate chains—creating an ideal microcosm to trial and model true HBD utility. Importantly, it is also home to the Atlas Power Data Center , one of the largest Bitcoin mining operations in the United States, showing a real openness and understanding of cryptocurrency adoption.

The Events at a Glance:

Event 1 – July 2025: A free-to-attend wrestling super-show hosted at the Raymond Family
Community Center
, a venue with capacity for over 2,000 people. This event will include
pre-event Hive education, NFT/HBD wallet onboarding, real-time HBD use at concession
stands, and a post-show afterparty. Every attendee receives a Hive-branded NFC tap-to-pay
card preloaded with 5 HBD. The event is filmed in its entirety for future Hive content.

Event 2 – May 2026: Held during Williston Band Day , a nearly 100-year-old city tradition that attracts up to 12,000 attendees. Hive will be fully integrated into the daylong celebration via a float in the parade, a vendor booth in Harmon Park, pre-registration outreach, and another headline Hive Wrestle Fest show that evening at the Raymond Center. By this point, many residents and local vendors will already be familiar with Hive, making this second event a mass adoption moment. Together, these events represent more than marketing. They are an integrated, boots-on-the-ground system for user acquisition, blockchain education, community trust-building, and real-world economic participation in Hive.

Expanded Community Integration – The Perfect Storm for Onboarding

Hive Wrestle Fest is intentionally scheduled to coincide with Williston Band Day , a 98-year
community tradition and one of the city’s most widely attended events. This timing creates a rare opportunity to execute a multi-layered outreach strategy that seamlessly combines in-person marketing, community engagement, and real-time blockchain usage.

Why This Layered Strategy Works:

Float in Parade: High-energy, branded outreach to up to 12,000+ residents and regional
visitors. We'll distribute Hive-themed materials and free wrestling show tickets directly
from the float, which will also advertise the raffle and vendor booth.

Vendor Booth at Harmon Park: Set up right after the parade ends, allowing us to catch
parade-goers in a relaxed environment. This booth gives us time for deeper
engagement, including Hive education, account onboarding, and HBD usage demos.

Pre-Show Event at Local Venue: A local restaurant or bar will host a community mixer
and Hive education session, building pre-event hype and additional onboarding.

$500 Raffle Tied to Attendance: Encourages both RSVP and in-person show-up.
Attendees must receive an NFC Hive card and use it at the event to see if they've won.

Evening Wrestling Event: High-energy capstone that blends Hive branding with real
HBD payments. Content will be captured and shared across platforms.

Post-Show Afterparty: A follow-up gathering at a different venue further promotes Hive
use and social engagement in a fun, relaxed environment.

This is not just a show —it’s an engineered funnel that guides a user from awareness to
interaction to transaction in one coordinated day.

Additional Benefits: Evergreen Content & Community Building

Each event will be fully filmed, edited, and distributed across social channels and on-chain, ensuring Hive branding is consistently visible and memorable. From wrestler promos (before, during, and after) to pre-show educational mixers, Band Day parade footage, full event commentary, and post-event testimonials, we’ll produce:

● Hive-branded match graphics and overlays during our fully produced wrestling show

● Announcer segments highlighting Hive and dApps

● Interviews with Hive users, creators, and vendors

● Hive callouts during wrestler promos (Imagine a wrestler representing Hive cutting a promo on ETH fees)

● Social clips that reintroduce Hive to new audiences on an ongoing basis

● event promotional footage (flyers, mailings, preregistrations, and wrestler promos)

● Coverage of Band Day float and vendor booth engagement

● Footage of the pre-show mixer and education session

● Full broadcast of the wrestling event with commentary, replays, and Hive-branded graphics

● Commercials for Hive and Hive dApps integrated into the show

● In-show announcements and mentions of Hive and HBD usage

● Post-show media scrum and wrestler interviews

● Afterparty footage showing HBD in real-world use

The content is not just promotional—it’s strategic infrastructure. Hive Wrestle Fest becomes a reusable vehicle for telling the Hive story over and over again.

Key Performance Indicators & Value Assessment

If fully funded and executed, Hive Wrestle Fest has the potential to deliver high-efficiency results
across multiple performance categories. Based on attendance, HBD flow, content created, and
reach, here's the breakdown:

📊 KPI Breakdown

● Hive Accounts Onboarded: 2,0004,000 attendees will receive Hive-branded NFC
cards with preloaded HBD and onboarding support.
→ Cost per user: $18.75 – $37.50
● HBD Transactions: $20,000+ per event in real-world purchases through tap-to-pay Hive
cards for food, drinks, and merchandise.
→ Cost per HBD transaction: ~$3.75 per event
● Video & Media Assets Created: 20+ unique assets including 2 full-length wrestling
shows, promos, commercials, match replays, vendor features, and HBD usage content.
→ Cost per asset: ~$3,750
● Parade Reach and Brand Impressions: Up to 12,000 people reached during Williston
Band Day Parade and park booth activities.
→ Cost per impression: $6.25

🎯 Is This Good Value?

Hive Accounts Onboarded
Compared to crypto onboarding campaigns where cost-per-user can exceed $50–100 (often for
cold leads or app installs), this project delivers real users who receive:
● Education

● Real HBD
● Live-use experience
● Community engagement
This goes far deeper than digital funnels—these users transact and interact.
HBD Usage
Unlike speculative giveaways, this project creates verifiable, real-world blockchain
transactions
—food, drinks, and goods being bought with HBD. This proves Hive’s potential as
a usable payment layer.
Media Value
Professional video production typically costs $5,000–$20,000 per campaign video. Hive Wrestle
Fest delivers 20+ reusable, on-brand assets for a fraction of that cost—each of them positioned
to reinforce Hive’s image.
Brand Reach
Parade impressions are not passive. Each person reached can receive free Hive-branded
materials, promotional cards, and even raffle tickets tied to live engagement. That level of
high-quality brand exposure is hard to replicate.

Conclusion

Hive Wrestle Fest is not a one-off experiment. It’s a multi-phase, deeply embedded real-world onboarding strategy. By staging two full events over two years, in a single town where trust and visibility matter, we’re doing more than creating users—we’re building a Hive-powered community.

With targeted outreach, provable on-chain spending, trusted budget management through
ValuePlan, and continuous content creation, this proposal offers Hive an incredibly rare
opportunity: to be remembered, respected, and used by real people in the real world.
We believe this is the kind of long-term investment the DHF was made for.

Speaking of the DHF and @valueplan, we have heard a lot of the issues the Hive community want to see resolved. This includes transparency as well as the overall Hive community having a voice in what @valueplan funds. We are paving a way showcasing a new way projects can make proposals that are paid out to @valueplan that the entire community can vote on. We will also be 100% transparent with our purchases and post receipts on chain for all to see.

The overall goal of this event is to blend a Hive education and meet up event with a wrestling show that will have more more watchability/rewatchability than a keynote speaker at a conference. It is also our goal to showcase the average American consumer using HBD to buy real, tangible items. The value in that is great and showcasing it during a filmed event creates tons of value in the future!

As a small reminder I want to make it clear that the $20k HBD that will go on the NFC cards will be fully returned to the DHF as WOO will be the vendor taking the card payments. This allows people to use HBD as payment but has 0 risk of that the HBD will be sold, converted or otherwise lost. It will be fully returned to the DHF after each event. To find out more about this event please check out the interview @bookerman did with @ecoinstant during the Deep Web3 Secrets Podcast or ask any questions in the comments. @bookerman will make himself available for any and all questions. But until then...

Let’s give the world a Hive-powered main event. Twice.

Voted! The best proposal since I joined the HIVE community I guess 💪

First the obvious, This proposal would have benefitted from being staggered. One or two months of campaigning for votes followed by payments starting from x date 2 months from now.

On to the proposal itself, I would approach this from 3 perspectives.
i) As a wrestling fan: WOOOO!! I would pay 10$ to have my daughter take a picture with Perry Saturn.

ii) As a business owner: There has to be a way to charge people for this in the form of tickets or merchandise. Tickets are the obvious one because people only value what they pay for. That said, I have no idea what the price should be but there should be revenue generation of some sort with some costs being sent back to the DHF (This is just an opinion).

iii) As someone who cares about Hive and is working extensively on retention data:
Users stick around when there is a good business success story. Your business success is extremely important to the hive. To that end, I would love to see this event become a sustainable source for your business. We have plenty of users, 25k in 2025 so far, but most of them don't stick around, so more than users, what we need are businesses that have made an impact on the hive and real-world society.

To that end, I would like to see a plan for generating sales to offset some of the costs.

Concessions will be sold at the event and would be returned to the DHF as stated in the proposal

I can understand how that could cause confusion and needed clarification though. The after party and preshow events with local businesses would also be paid for events that will generate income to send back to the DHF.

There would also be follow up with local users and businesses to keep it fresh in their minds as well as be a point where we can further educate. There are a ton of local businesses in the area that don't have loyalty programs. They could have a HBD loyalty program pretty easily and we can help educate them on how that is possible. The other big thing is working with local businesses that have been on-boarded to hold events for them in the community to foster HBD usage.

Thank you for your consideration and feedback!
